lol i didnt think anyone would catch that. its not a crack in the bumper, its a crack in the paint. like other ppl have had issues with their body shop not prepping it right and having the paint crack and chip off after 6 months to a year.

The shop I went to didn't prep it, they didn't even use primer. My grill starting bubbling as soon as I got the car back. The fins and lip were peeling within 4 months

man that sucks! mine was fine for a long time, the paint just recently started to pill off by the light and also a little spot in the corner of the black trim at the bottom. the only thing i wasnt happy about was the grill. i cut out the bars in the grill in the stillen front fascia and had the body shop patch the holes in the grill but now its a little bumpy in the grill so later on in the distant future i'm going to have that fixed and repaint the whole front bumper.

eh when i woke up this morning, it was RAINING!!! i was like WTF?!! it wasnt supposed to rain for a week! i just put silicone on my light LAST NIGHT (actually 1-2 am this morning) and i woke up to the sound of rain.. i checked my lights this morning and they seem to be holding up good, no water got in and no condensation or moisture inside. so hopefully it stays that way. here are a couple pics i took today... and yes i know, i desperately need a drop lol HOPEFULLY next month ill lower it.

Lights look very good. Take the Nissan emblem off the grille and maybe put it on the hood? Just looks out of place IMO.

you can check with the dealership and see if they have anything. if not and you have another car, you could always just make an appointment with a body shop and the day before open both lights and take the part you want to paint to the body shop and then when you get it back from them, reassemble the light.

i think i was a little over dramatic in my first post lol but it was a good amount of work.

Ya once I get my rims (and then powdercoated, after I get BC's ) I am going to have my fascia repainted to match the two tone I'm going with with the rims. Hopefully it'll look good.

And maybe, just maybe, I'll have the first or one of the first two toned black altima coupes

i come outside today to clean up the left over silicone on my headlight. i find the passenger side all fogged up and the driver side has hella cracks in the headlight! the driver side didnt fog up and should be fine for a while but i'm scared that when it gets to the 100+ degree weather in Sacramento, the cracks will expand and then the headlight will be no good and need to be replaced.

here are some pics

passenger side light... good thing is that since only the bottom fogged up, i know that there is a small spot at the bottom of the light not sealed good. so i dont have to reseal the whole light.

driver side light with all its cracks... will probably need to replace it next year.

the light that fogged up is cuz of a small spot at the bottom i must have not sealed that great. but ill fix it now. the light with the cracks. i think its because of a couple things. 1, that light pissed me off and i sometimes have temper issues lol i didnt go too gentle with the light. then when i was sealing it, i think i went over that spot too much with the heat gun.

thanks. thats the 1 thing i was worried about going into this project. i was hoping and praying that they dont fog up. but the weather has been so bad since i started the project. it didnt fog up until today when it was a hot sunny day. i got my car in the garage right now. i'm about to take off the front fascia and put some more silicone around the passenger light. the driver side light with the cracks ill probably finish tmw. my friend is going to help me. we're going to sand it with 1000 or 2000 grit sand paper and then polish them. so hopefully that fixes the cracks and little scratches here and there and hopefully i dont have them fog up anymore.

Ok so after about a week of waiting and getting oznium to send me the right lights i got one light all done except for being sealed shut! the first one turned out very good. i will have a video up here shorty to get the full effect of the new look but here are some pics for now! ohh and yes i know the LED strip isnt exactly straight but u try drilling 24 holes in a curved surface 1 cm off center from each other...it was a biatch!!! oh well good enough and not noticeable when the lights are on!

That's pretty sick dude. It looks great, with the exception of the cracks and the condensation -_- Good luck to you.

thanks. after looking at the light closely, i see it fogged up beacuse i dad a bad job of sealing it lol but i resealed it just now and it should be fine. tomorrow (technically today since its 12:08 am) i'm going to meet up with my friend and hopefully sand the light with 2000 grit sand paper and polish out all the cracks and make it look like new.

thats true. coupecrazy123, like ive said before, i dont mind if you post pics in here. its just that most members wont look at a thread thats been going on for a while. so if you want more views its best to make a new thread. but like i said, if you want to, your welcome to post here... up to you.
