Welcome to NICOclub Ace!

First, I'll move your thread over to the Fuga & Infiniti M45 section as I've seen more posts from Fuga owners over there.

Unfortunately, the American market M did not receive and did not even have that as a factory option. I believe I saw some chatter some time back from people saying they desired that feature. I hope someone with the JDM cars can explain if it was a factory option there, and if it is something a dealer can disable with their Consult tool.

I'm curious to know, can you see anything related to it in the Settings - convenience menu on the screen? where it asks you to disable the keypad or global lock the doors
Also, does yours auto unlock when you park or do you have to turn off the car?

My guess if that is not an available choice/option, you'll need a Consult III or later to hook up to change those settings or turn it off.

My 07 had the auto-lock and so does my 09. Both cars remain locked until the engine is switched off. Placing the gear lever into P has no effect.

Somehow remembered this thread in the M37/56/Q70 forum:
post6719902.html#p6719902

I think this is an option that can only be adjusted by a Consult device.

We're gonna have to go old school - touching buttons and changing selections while comparing to a North American one to see what happens.

No idea where you are located, but people that got the RHD Fugas were trying to make some changes as seen in some of these threads. I don't how much they were able to decipher.

Does your voice control feature work, I guess only in Japanese too? Since the Infiniti has language options, I wonder if the Fuga can be changed too.
*If I spoke Japanese, I'd probably hook it up on youtube and walk people through the screen to explore options.

I figured that it was something that needed Consult in the US like the Y51 M37 & M56, just didn't know what the JDM options were for the Y50 M35 & M45.

And Larz, I couldn't find anything about the automatic lock - unlock for the Y50 in the FSM, maybe you have an aftermarket module like KP technologies? :gotme

Does anyone else have this feature in an 06-10 M?

Hi my next problem is that the speedo reads 16% higher than the actual speed (it is on 19inch rims but that shouldn't make that much difference) Is that something that can be re calibrated through a simple plug into the computer system or not.
cheers terry

Don't think anyone has posted a How To in this or the M37/56/Q70 forum - but I know Larz has replaced his dash - it's probably several screws and clips/fasteners.

This has pretty good photos from a guy who switched the colors on his FX35:

You don’t need to remove the dash completely to remove the cluster. Very easy

I have a non jdm 2006 m35 and since I've had it the doors autolock, it also beeps the horn automatically when I start it and reverse... I would disable these if there were options because the honking thing is really annoying and I'd rather lock my doors like a human

my dads 06 m35 doesnt do this..

Is there any serial numbers or codes on the engine I can match up to see if its original?

It sounds to me like you've got a glitch. Maybe a module that isn't working right?
I'm not sure where the likes of KP technologies modules are usually installed, maybe somewhere behind the knee bolster under the steering wheel?
Might you have an autostart module? (Hit the lock button 3x, or the unlock)

I know the engines usually have the VIN stamped/ plated somewhere on them, but I don't think an engine replacement would affect your electronics in the way you describe.
Have you run the carfax or seen any records from Infiniti (those are free) maybe to see if anything has been done/ recorded?

FYI, the owner's manual will give you where most of the important info labels/ stickers are.

Technical info section, so around pg. 9-11 or so.
[It can be found online too. Type 20xx Infiniti M owner's manual into your favorite search engine and you should see a PDF version]

We're back!
After I got a car with the feature, then I found out how to disable or enable the feature.

It applies for 2009+ models
