I'm going to represent you guys in Canada! spreading the word of the TURBO!kennytuned wrote:Warners car has the wastegate dumping external. this is the loud rush of air you hear in the acceleration video.
You can see the wastegate in the pic below. The final unit had a longer dump tube that angled down but this gives you an idea.
We have no release date on the kit yet. It is a very complex kit and now that we have three vehicles in beta testing we will start hammering out the details. Stay tuned to the site and our vendors, for updates.
I apologize for the lack of updates Artisan is made up of partners from major companies in the industry and we never planned on retail sales. We are depending on our vendors to spread the word.
Thanks
A BOV doesn't actuate until pressure is applied and then taken away. So with a fully various transmission, that never reaches a shift point, it would never actuate. I would work in manual mode and any time you let off the throttle in automatic modenogears909 wrote:how would a bov work with cvt?
I'd be happy to make some more exhaust clips for those that are still undecided. let me know what you'd like and i'll make some more up this weekend. in car? highway driving? fly by's? just lemme knowAltiCoupeDriver wrote:more exhaust clips?
245/35R20 Nitto Invo's with some make shift 20 inch x 8.5 +35 wheels (will post pics when i get them mounted). Custom wheels are in the makes and it might be anywhere from 1 to 3 months before they're done.As far as the gauges go, that's in the making also. I'm not really sure where i wanna mount them. I was thinking of going boost and egt and mounting them in the middle vents like white altima coupe.AltiCoupeDriver wrote:BTW Have you decided on new shoes to get all that new found power to the ground better, and where are the gauges? One more, how many mpgs do you think you're getting?
AzureCoupe0888 wrote:ok I will try, I am extra excited now , because the confirmation just came in that it has been shipped and will arrive monday!! O YEA!! I have only been waiting for this since march. lol. from what i have learned through my research , talkin on here, talkin w/ brian and kenny, 08altima35 and the videos it is worth the wait!!
I'll try to take pictures, you guys remind me, I am not a camera person, I have one, but it may slip my thoughts in the excitement . so if anyone wants some pics let me know!
Preliminary numbers will be posted next week! Warners car is currently only running 6lbs of boost using a manual boost controller. The wastegate is not vented back into the exhaust. One Crazy Max wrote:so what is the word on the release of the turbo system, and how much more WHP does it make. and where is the boost set at, wastegate pressure, or are you using an EBC or MBC. btw the car sounds amazing with the EWG fully open, so im guessing its atmospheric rather than redirected back into the exhaust.
your car sounds nice bro. let us know the power numbers when you get them and when the car is fully tuned.
right now it doesnt seem like the car is making more than 300whp judging by your acceleration videos.
It doesn't really matter where the MAF is, the MAF isn't telling the car to do anything anymore. The tunning computer is now controlling every bit of the air/fuel ratio and tricking the computer into thinking a correct signal is from the MAF. You're backfire would have been caused by a high fuel ratio in the fuel map that was intentionally programmed to produce at that throttle point. Most likely, to decrease the chances of knock on the downthrottle.Robs_altima wrote:I like how the MAF sensor is right near the throttle body… On my tC, and every other kit for it, the senor was located right after the filter. This is fine if the kits were recalculated but mine and every kit except turbonetics was atmospheric. In other words, the thing would go pig rich between shifts and backfire once in a while.
Speed Force Racing and I have already commensed on this project and are 3/4 of the way done for the 3.5 CVT Turbo system. Sorry for the thread jack, just though I would let him know their is one in developmentwindex wrote:Man... I gotta get some booooooost. Any clue when work will start on a CVT? (Need a CVT?)
I can't wait to see the cvt boosted and what the new nissan transmission can and can't handle. You really are a prospector for the altima coupe blake and it's good to have you among us contantly pushing parts co's buttons to get us new stuff. As far as my car goes, all the Kudo's go to Kenny and his staff at TC's.com for being the turbo designing masters and Brian Fox at foxmarketing.net for setting this whole thing up (and also being a huge voice for us A/C owners). I just happened to be in texas at the right place and the right time with a 6mt a/c 3.5se and one thing led to another which meant a boosted A/C.adidas2go wrote:Warner!!!! Your car looks great bro! Great job by AP and you alike for the time and effory put into this project. Can't wait to join you on the boosted circuit
Thanks I've been emailing SFR, its just the simple fact that turbochargers is soo much closer to me(4 hours). I'm still trying to find a shop here that can build me a setup or at least one to install it...adidas2go wrote:Speed Force Racing and I have already commensed on this project and are 3/4 of the way done for the 3.5 CVT Turbo system. interesting....pics please!it must be a ***** to replace the battery if things go south08altima35 wrote:that would be a correct crazy max. also, so far so good. car runs great.
also, I don't think i posted anything about where the battery was relocated to. It's not in the trunk for anyone who thought so. It's mounted just infront of the driver side wheel well and is smaller in size.
