Anybody race a Honda S2000?!?!

The new mustang is definitely a beast! From 0-60 the mustang will burn the G35 no question... but performance wise.. G35 beats the Mustang is EVERY way

ok...well i forgot to mention the s2k has trans problems...it has no 2nd gear lol...so wouldn't be too good of a race cause i'd be shifting 1st to 3rd...soon as the trans comes in its on!

I think I can beat a S2k in my G35...

I have 275 tires in the rear, just dump the clutch at 4k and it's over traction with torque is always nice.

Hm I think the 07 Sedan can beat it. What do you think? I am talking about stock vs. stock.maybe. hmmm It should be a driver race I guess.

update: s2k transmission is fixed. now as soon as it comes out of the body shop this week i will take it out and race an 06 6spd coupe that has intake and wider rear tires vs stock s2k. will film it too...

dont know i have the same thing done to my car plus a reflash i havent found any S2K's that r willing to race me. once i find one ill make sure i tape it. and post it but if u can see the first vid. the G35 wasnt that far behind and it was stock. pretty sure if G35 had the same mods G35 would have take it

My thought is that it would depend on the driver and the course. I recently bought an 07 G35; I had a hard time deciding between the S2000 and the G35. In the end, the G35 just fit my lifestyle better. However, in deciding, I drove quite a few S2k's and G35's. Given a competent driver, I think the S2k would beat the G35 on a winding course; its handling is AMAZING, even in comparison to the G35. However, on a straight course, I think the G35 would rule.

I think my 2007 G35 sedan (auto) would have no trouble beating a stock Honda S2000 and if I can find one to race in Phoenix I'll let you know.

You keep saying professional driver and perfect conditions about the G35 0-60 times. On the street or on the track the Honda is under the same conditions an probably just as skilled a driver as any G35 it lines up with that is willing to race. If your G35 runs 4 tenths slower because of the less then perfect conditions the Honda should too.

I used to see that with my truck all the time... go to the track in the winter and put down a mid-low 14 summer rolls around and I'm running 15's. Still winning races though because all the other cars are dealing with the same heat, humidity and track conditions.
