Anybody race a Honda S2000?!?!

Wednesday after my duty days I had a guy i work with wait around for me and we ran. He has a 2dr Accord 6spd V6. Yes I know its not a S2k but I have seen the accord and a S2k run and they are pretty F'ing even. So on the way home he decides to drop the hammer at around 60ish so I do the same and it was a pretty steady pull up to him (I actually had to let off in 4th so I wouldnt drive over the top of him it was fun kinda toying with him) He has some suspension and a CAI. then we pull on the highway and do another 60-120ish run and i still had a constant pull on him all the way. But from a stop at a light I owned him but that i am not suprised since accord = FWD but still the 60 runs i was quite impressed

I really can't agree with an Accord coupe V6 6Spd being even with an S2k. If I remember right the numbers I've seen are something like:0-60:S2K: 5.4Accord V6 6Spd: 6.1

A lot of variance, but overall, the S2K seems a fair bit quicker.

my firend with his S2K was racing a grand national. after he put in his I/H/E. he beat the grand national he got no traction. then he hit a so gravel at about 20MPH on a turn hit a tree and there went his S2K .totaled drive shaft pulled down the rear diff. and the hub was still on the rear rims. now i have to find a diffrent S2K to eat up...lol

this race is a driver race... these cars are pretty close in 1/4 mile times per say. this race would pretty much be all in the driver

I am certain that stock for stock..the Honda is quicker.

it also depends on which s2k u raced if it wus a new 06+ s2k or a 2000 those were the fastest QM models made

A s2000 stock QM time is 14.2, the G is at 13.9. its should be beathen every time stock for stock

that is wrong... g35 time is about 14.4 or so. 13.9 is the new 07 6spd sedan with a pro driver under perfect conditions

i think he was saying that there are a few models that are kick a$$! there are G's the suffer with 260HP - but we fix them REALLY QUICK!!!!

yes...that is the "SPEC" for them...but that is with a pro driver...under perfect conditions. you know what...i'll take the s2k in my garage which is a 2000 with no mods. and race my friend with his 6spd 06 g35 and i will post the outcome...

i may also go up against my friends 00 s2k but i have a lot more mods on him >< so yah.... lol ( and driver experience! )

Easy to find out if it is about driver experience. Switch cars for the second roll. If you beat him with both yes you are a better racer.
