well saidGryStrm wrote:heres my question....if racing is a big part of why some of you guys buy a car....why the alti?...it certainly aint a racer in any scence of the word....its a peppy little machine...but not a competiton vehicle unless its converted...i mean i havent seen altimas ....in any form...in competiton..unless u count funny cars...with an alti shell...the car "stock" aint made for the stresses of racing...if any of you have looked at the stock suspension....ud see that...hence alot of the conversions on here....endlinks, sway bars and such...judgin' by the way some of you describe your "racing"....u need more than a 1/2 diameter link to hold ya steady and the stock breaks?....lol...we all love our cars and the gracefulness of them...but lets not think lookin fast means bred to be fast...theres more to intake and mufflers that make a race car...
and we arent even touching on the safty end of things!
for craps sake...those of you who race at a regulated track make you ..wear a helmet..take everything out of the trunk and cabin...why?...hmmm
driving is a responsiblity....to everyone..even ur pretty coupe!
that is just the coolest thing ive read all dayalphapig wrote:I read "another notch in the belt" and I just assumed someone got fatter.

Sounds like big fish stories to me. And I fail to see how weaving in and out of traffic is skill. I guess it's intense to change lanes at a high speed but really? And I'm with everyone else with the doubt that you beat all those cars. Sounds like someones a little full of themselves...theoctopussi wrote:LOL you guys crack me up... I didn't start these races. They did, and they just couldn't drive... and yea homie, I got a 4 banger and blew them out the water. its sad, but so true... on the straight away - the game is theirs, we established that, but in traffic, or even straight away leading to traffic, that's my game... and folks can't drive - especially ALL the muscle-heads I've burned in my lifetime. and at the end of the race, I always like to wait and ask em if that's all they had LMFAO
Don't be silly.spockrock wrote:so long story short I can add another notch with the logic of racing in traffic, going to see my headlight guy, yesterday bumper to bumper traffic totally smoked a CL63 AMG. I was in the Left Lane he was in the Middle Lane.... his lane wasn't moving I was 10 car lengths infront of him before he knew what was going on.

I've taken it to the track before. Our local police service has a thing set up here for people who like to race.
For me, the thrill just isn't the same. It's not as raw, and there isn't the likelihood that your real driving skills are going to come into play.

If you want to stereotype, at least do it with a shred of credibility.
My fears haven't been realized yet? Is that supposed to be a joke, or do you know me? I've been through more in 19 years than you likely have in your lifetime, or someone twice my age.GryStrm wrote:

You know damn well what stereotype I'm referring to. I'm not going to take the bait and amuse you when I have better things to be doing.GryStrm wrote:

what stereotype are you refering to?...street racers? or are you stereo typing and making presumptions as to my thoughts on your own?
what credibilty?...do i need to be qualified to write a saterical post about the stupidity of street racing?....last time i checked the way i write is my bussiness and how i put my words togther my perogative! i am the farthest thing from racial you'll ever find. and i have never flug even the slightest slur here..well except for goomba...but that dont count!
so dont be mad just cause i dont defend ur need for speed torreto...opps...i stereotyped again....
Fine.GryStrm wrote:bro please...u made assumptions about me...and i of you....u disagree with my feelings about street racing and i disagree about your support of doin it on public roads.sorry for your lossesbut lets not get into an "ive been through" match...cause you never know who your talking to and what they have been through!
i meant that at 19...u still have alot more crap to go through....when i was 19 and told the same crap i was pissed at people older and wiser than me tellin me that...but ...youll see...
i have nothing against you, but i personally think street racing is stupid...not racing...just street racing....those are my beliefs...which are free for me to express, just like you feel free to express your driving skills...
