thats what i wanna know when in CVT mode say at the highest boost level setting, will you get the same psi of boost in cvt mode as you would in the simulated manual mode ???????
I get the same amount of PSI boost in CVT mode compared to manuel mode. I keep my car mainly at 7 PSI. Only lower it down to 6 PSI when I'm taking my mom out to diner or something. I really don't like hearing all the time about how dangerous the car is being fast and hada hada hada. Moms they worry so much. If you guys have anymore questions please ask and I or Tim will try to reply ASAP. Thanks for the questions guys.surmanm wrote:

HAHAHA...FUNNY GUY . I will get some Vids as soon as I can. I still have to get the rest of the mods on and finish the car. Weather is a big factor in finishing. My friend has to paint the parts, but it's not possible with rain and there are chances of rain here for the next few days. He said next week if the weather looks good.LongBeachCoupe wrote:Whose this manuel you speak of?Hada hada hada is the sound of the exhaust from old muscle cars, moms say "yada yada yada"!
Ricky, post some vids of the gauges during a CVT and "Manuel" run if you can!
I do both. It all depends on what type of driving I want to do. While driving I shift between both when I feel like it. When driving in the city I mostly keep it on CVT mode because I don't have to worry about shifting and traffic in Los Angeles is BAD. More peaceful, especially after work and you're all tired.FGFCacoupe wrote:Do you keep the car in manual mode , and if so did you keep it in manual mode when you were N/A
What can I say. I try!!!FGFCacoupe wrote:Good enough, I appreciate the quick reply
Hey Darryl my MPG before the turbo was high on my car for some reason. I would get between 32-36 MPG on the Highway and 22-26 in the city. It would surprise me when people post up of only getting 18-22 in the highway. I see a raise of 2-4 MPG in both the highway and the city since the turbo. Since before the turbo I have a pretty heavy foot. I do spirited driving, IN A SAFE, RESPONSIBLE and TIMELY MANNER, and would still see GREAT MPG. I would do roughly 75-85 MPH on the freeway. Hope that helps Darryl. Anymore questions just ask dude.dangeris wrote:Ricky, If you can and if you remember, can you monitor your mpg. Like you, I travel a distance on the highway to get to work, I'm curious to see if your engine is operating more efficiently now because of the turbo install thus giving you better gas mileage. When I spoke to Blake, he mentioned that his mpg went up to like 28 - 30 mpg on the highway (without getting on it). Obviously you'll have to do this over a course of a couple weeks to get an average. Thanks Man
Makes sence to get 0-60 times. I would have to see how I could do this and get it done.nurseryboy wrote:Since it's kind of hard to dyno a CVT, it would be nice to at least get some 0-60 times since they'd be a good comparison as well.
HP numbers would be great, but I think seeing how much faster the car is would give us a good idea of the difference.
what do you mean by what's my exhaust setup. I'm running the STILLEN cat-back system. As towards body, I don't wanna say anything till it's all done and finished. I had Tim paint the FMIC black. I sort of wanna go for the stealth look with the turbo. It's not there till I have to teach someone a lesson.FGFCacoupe wrote:what's your exhaust set up, what body work do you have planned, I know your going to sport that front mount
Yes.surmanm wrote:

It has dude. My car is with Tim right now getting some more work done. I should have it back in 2 - 3 weeks . It's great to have you back Blake .adidas2go wrote:Nice going Ricky! Sorry I wasn't around to see all this. Looks great dude. Hope your ride gives you as much enjoyment as mine has
