Its a awesome car show event with hot models You should explore their website and see how you like it. I am just going there to have a blast!

In order to register your car, just send your car resume to their email. If they approve your car, you can register for SpoCom and has a fee of $60. It will be fun.
I'll check it out. Thanks for the info.

Yeah Brandon the turbo bug won the battle. It has been a while since we spoke. I'll take more pictures when the car gets the rest of it's mods on. Besides that the car is filthy!!!

The price for the kit in on http://www.Speedforceracing.com . It is possible to have the car in auto transmition. Most of the driving I do daily is in Auto mode because I drive to work and school. when you have it in auto mode and step on the gas that's when you feel the F**KER pull and spool up. I have the opportunity to trade my car in straight up for a 6 speed because my friend is a sales manager, but I won't do it. I love the CVT to much and have no regrets in getting it or putting a turbo on it.

I will have to check on the next track date in my area. That and if I have time to go. There were some races about 3 weeks ago, but my turbo wasn't on yet. The CVT holds up and stays in boost. I have done it A LOT of times recently From a red light getting onto the freeway. The pull on this car is amazing . I can literaly feel and hear the wheels unlock and spin from 5-6K RPM's while driving.

I am not sure of the install time for Speedforce. I left the car at their shop for a few days since I live 3 1/2 hours away. Then went to pick it up. You would have to email Tim at [email protected] to ask him the install time.

I'm running 7 PSI and will be moving it up in due time. I spoke to Tim and we will move it up to 8 then 9 and so on as long as it's safe. I hope Tim and the guys over a SpeedForceRacing have good luck with the CVT transmission they will be working with to increase its performance. Other then that the car runs strong and feels like it need more air...(PSI) I'll contact Tim to see when a good time to raise the PSI would be. I still stand behind it not being a waste of money. Money well spent with no regrets.

You crack me Up Ricky That's like a guy introducing his 6 yr old son to a friend and the kid blurting out, hey,...I'm 7!

Ricky, I'm not trying to bash you at all or your setup! So let's get that out of the way first and foremost. All I'm saying is the the cost per horse power is not worth the money spent IMHO Yes, it's cool to have a turbo vehicle but lets think about this for a second.

Most factory turbo cars have a lower compression so the motor can handle the additional HP. Can our cars handle the added turbo? Absolutely! was it designed for it?..Probably not and will most likely not last as long as a motor that was design for a turbo with a lower compression ratio. With the exception of the GTR, our cars have a high compression ratio and putting a turbo on a CVT is probably not conducive to longevity of the transmission.

So now lets do the math to back this up... Everyone always says, HP cost money! How much do you want to spend?

Looking at SFR's website cost for a stage1 CVT kit and all the other extra goodies that you spent, not including labor, let's say you dropped $6K. Rule of thumb is for every 1lbs f boost you gained 10hp. Divide $6K by 7 (the PSI you're running) and that gives you a total of $857.14 that you spent per 10hp gained. If you look at it, that's not bad but when you compare it to other systems out there that offers more HP with more boost for less money, that setup is expensive Hence my conclusion of saying it's not worth it to me.

Now if SFR can boost it up more like you mentioned, that will be even better since now the value add is that you gain more HP for less $$! Always good. But will it cost you additional $$ for them to up the boost every time?

But in the end, what it comes down to it is this,... It's your money and if you're happy with your purchase, who cares what anyone else says. And like I said before, I'm not ripping on ya, just stating my opinion,..nothing more. Again, Nice Setup! and for the record, I wouldn't want to race ya for pinks!

Wow that looks great. Checked out the website and it great that it also fit the sedan. This might be a dumb question , since i'm a noob at engine stuff and what not, but will this set up work on a 2.5 or is it just made only or the 3.5 ? sorry for the dumb question but thanks anyway for whoever answers.

Your estimates on horsepower are way off.We are getting about 20 horsepower per psi of boost with the high compression motor. So we are talking about a 100+ wheel horsepower increase at 5 psi.

hey tim, i was wondering if you could answer a quick question. ricky said that you said its not good to step on the gas and brake to build revs when launching the car because it will mess up the transmission. could you please give a little more details? thank you

That is called brake boosting and I would not advice it on the CVT.

Vegas sounds fun. I plan to go to Europe in like June/July for about 1 month or so. You can test drive this bad girl at the next car meet.

Hey Tim, if you read my post correctly, I said typically turbos are installed from the factory on low compression motors hence the 10hp per 1psi. I furthermore added...
dangeris wrote:Can our cars handle the added turbo? Absolutely! was it designed for it?..Probably not and will most likely not last as long as a motor that was design for a turbo with a lower compression ratio.
If you say my numbers are off, please enlighten all of us and post up hardcore numbers. You can't dyno a CVT unless you pulled the motor and dyno'd it out of the car. Until such time, it's all the speculation; numbers pulled from past projects but not specific to Ricky's car.Didn't you say that you did a turbo on a 6MT? Are you pulling the numbers off of that.

Please don't take this as an attack. I'm a an engineer by trade so everything needs to add up, that's all.
