Sentient, now that were're back on the same page, hit me up via email, and since i have the A/C I will spend some time looking for those extra grounding points for you... when I find it, I'll send you the measurements...also, I will be purchasing a kit from you... I think we got off on the wrong foot.. isn't the first and won't be the last, but its cool, hey nobody's perfect....Sentientbydesign wrote:Alright guys,
Here's the updated info. As I promised many, I am going to be completely honest about things.
I have kits "ready" for the 2.5L and 3.5L 07+ Altis.
I say "ready" because there are still 2 more grounding points that I want to add to the systems and I haven't found them yet...That sounds bad.
Let me say it this way: There are two important systems that should be grounded. I haven't found out the proper points for those systems.
The early results of the kits are that the engines seem to rev faster and audio is cleaner and louder.
Because the CVT has a mind of it's own, getting consistent performance results is nearly impossible. Just like Adidas trying to Dyno his A/C.
If you want the kit in it's current form, the price is $60 + shipping
There might be other benefits like the fuel economy or brighter headlights, but I would have had to borrow Jose, Kenny, and Daniel's Altis for a week or so to really get all of that info.
Honestly...that will cost you more than it's worth lol. The wires I use are used because of quality and price...mostly quality though. I just happened to find a source that had super high quality at a reasonable price.itsjustbusiness wrote:red red red! (preferably in matte)
Yeah, I'll add that to my list of things to do this afternoon. It's still on the camera. With the engine cover back on, you don't see much. We can "fix" that if you want the kit for showwindhaven wrote:Is there a pic of an installed kit for the A/C? Would like to see it on one of the forums members cars.
Thoughts?-- Wind
You make it sound like I'm going to shaft you guys once the other wires are added lol.spockrock wrote:How difficult is it to install??
Also I would prefer to wait for the completed kit with the other two grounding points. Whats the *estimated* price difference?? I know that is subject to change and Shipping to Canada how much is that?
I need a postal code for an accurate shipping quote. That's a great idea BTW!Rolling Estonian wrote:what would shipping be for two kits to Toronto. Spockrock, if it's alright with you we could group ship and save $.
Could be a good project to do at the meet
LOL sorry I didn't think you were going to shaft you, its just if I do it, I would like to do the setup all in one shot. I have a fujita intake...w00t.....Sentientbydesign wrote:You make it sound like I'm going to shaft you guys once the other wires are added lol.
Worst case scenario, with 2 more wires, it would be around $80. I highly doubt that it will be that high. If it is, I'll try to work in the shipping or part of it.
Canada? Hmm... I'll need your postal code. USPS will be over $25 UPS looks like I can get away with around $18, but I just put a random postal code for Toronto in, so we'll need something more accurate. I'm open for suggestions too!
Install is mostly easy. I'm talking to THE DOC about the last 2 locations. The only PITA one right now is below the intake which basically requires you to remove the air box. If you have an aftermarket intake, it gets SIGNIFICANTLY easier.
Yeah sounds like a plan to me.Rolling Estonian wrote:what would shipping be for two kits to Toronto. Spockrock, if it's alright with you we could group ship and save $.

FLAT RATE PRIORITY BOXES FTW!Sentientbydesign wrote:I always include tracking and insurance. Regardless if you want it. So $12.60 is the price for one kit going priority domestically. The price will creep up by like $.50-$1.00 for every additional kit in the same box.
"Sample" = Priceless
Sentientbydesign wrote:Ok, so I have 3 installs this weekend and then we should have kits available by next week.
There are 4 color choices:
Matte Gray (Gunmetal)Matte Blue
These are obviously not shiny, but ARE translucent. They are the highest quality wires I've dealt with. Super flexible, very high strand count, and thicker than other 4 gauge wires (The wire industry doesn't adhere to standards like they should).
I can also pass on a decent discount with these wires, because I get them at a good price.
Translucent Black (Charcoal)Translucent Red
These are shiny. They are great for show purposes, but the strand count is lower and they are a little less flexible than the matte wires. They are also a little thinner in wire diameter.
For somer reason, these wires cost me more. The difference in final kit price is around 15-20%.
So let me know what colors you will want. I will definately have the gun metal on hand.
