I was responding to the comment all the Canadians were loving this mod. ala this comment.Miss_Lanaya wrote:I personally would never do this mod either....however I think it looks nice.... and does being canadian have to do with liking things or not, I see plenty of Yankers stated on the first page they thought it looked nice/clean.

Bleh, the blue tipped GReddy's are rice-a-roni, especially regarding the looks.
Unless, of course, huge, angled, blue, loud, and overall home-made exhaust pipes qualify as classy.

Seriously though, I feel like a lot of people talk about "rice" like we're in high school (I know some of you are but we all know how it is there). It's like, "ooo, lets not hang out with those people or not wear this or not say that, or not act like this cause then we're not 'cool' and people will make fun of us." I'm sorry, but I'm sick to death of attitudes like that. Be who you want to be and put whatever the damn hell you want on your car that you like if that's what you like. Who gives a god damn about "rice" anything. If you like it on your car, then that's what should be on your car because it's there to please you not anyone else.

Serkle K - I love you quote from me. That thread was EPIC!
but ur a girl it wouldnt hurt as much 4 u lolMiss_Lanaya wrote:I find it funny that ppl take so much time explaining why they think somthing looks bad.... if they think it looks good its usually a simple post "looks good man!" if they think it looks bad they continuosly rant on and make fun of it, then a couple posts later sit and rant again about how this is a general chat and if they ask for an opinion blah blah blah..... my question is why hate sooooo much?
More people may mod their cars and be hesitant to even post pics due to the negative responses and harshness....and I love seeing ppls mods (whether I like them or not).....I personally would be hesitant to post mods I did for fear of being kicked in the groin right after I spent my money

We should have a separate subforum for anti-lambodoor-Persecutionrjdmmfl1 wrote:

And if this is your first lambo door kit, I think its more likely that you just don't understand.....yet
LOL he isn't persecuting he is speaking from experience, I believe the doc had lambo doors on his previous car, I recall him mentioning that the hinges eventually go and your door never sit right after.mcheddadi wrote:

Exactly... if you read all of my posts on the subject of lambo doors, the general theme involves the initial gratification and excitement being replaced with the realization that these are not meant for everyday vehicles, and the eventual wear and tear of opening the doors everyday takes a toll on the welds (good kit) or the bolt on hinges (poor kit), and eventually on the doors as they bang violently when the door lock mechanism misses the latch by a half inch or so.... I understand the enthusiasm that you guys (mchedaddi) have that have never owned these before, but I speak from experience with these doors, not from the uninformed exuberance with which you younger guys view these.spockrock wrote:

i don't think the recent comments were in response to the OP, but rather the new "lambo door " kid on the block that resurrected this thread in the first placercboy514 wrote:haha the guy who started the thread hasn't posted a comment in exactly two months to the day...started 7/10/08 everyone is arguing and he isnt here anymore lol and as for the doors, unless you are trying to impress a bunch of jr. high girls with your bada$$ "lambo doors" I wouldnt do it.
Hey Doc, I know you mentioned that you had lambo style doors on your coupe but who made your door kit? And did you install it youself?rjdmmfl1 wrote:

The kit was from GT Factory.. nope, Ihad a local shop install them... the weld on kits are NOT simple to install!dangeris wrote:

That was a weld on kit? I would say it wasn't easy to install! You better make dang sure it's right before the tack welds are in place or else screwed!rjdmmfl1 wrote:
