Interesting concept I saw it on the "G" thread. OK if you own I repeat OWN an Altima COUPE put what you do not like about the car, no matter how petty. I will try and keep this list in order so people can see what we the owners really feel about our cars.Ok I'll start:

1- No off button on the steering wheel controls (i.e Maxima)2- Phone book cannot be loaded into Caller ID (names) w/o Tech package :-(

I was thinking about making a thread just like this while i was at work today.

1. Should have seperate tilt/telescopic steering controls2. Voice commands (NAV system) are majorly delayed and the process is very long.

haha funny thread title. Thought I was gonna have to come in here and smack someone around.

Couple things...

1. The passenger side seatbelt rattles against the B pillar when no one is using it.2. No option to view names of people calling on the radio when you don't have NAV. Only number.

Could we maybe change the name of the thread title? Maybe to "Altima Coupe Improvements" or something

Kasper, sorry but I changed the title. Would rather see it titled as such. Great idea I might add. Should give us an idea on what can be improved upon. Perhaps some of them can be done on our own.

How about crappy packaging of options!Too expensive/Too restrictive! I guess this is more of a gripe against Nissan than the lovely A/C.

Unfortunately Nissan has had weird package tiers like this for quite some time. Definitely is something worth whining about, I can agree with you

1.) No window roll up on intellikey2.) Not alot of factory accessories/add-ons3.) Wheels on the convienence package should be better looking4.) Sound system could be better (my 06' Camry has a better stock system, kinda sad)5.) Bluetooth should be standard6.) Wish the steering wheel was more like the 350z7.) So where exactly is the coin holder? I see in the storage compartment there are slots maybe for coins but the coins seem to slip out.8.) Audio screen should show title, time , and track of song playing all at once.

Yes, the package are to expensive. The convienence package cost $1300 and i only get upgraded ugly 16in rims, audio control on my steering wheel, and power seats? power seats should be standard on this car. The 17s on the v6 should be included in the convienence package and the v6 should get standard 18s in my opinion.

I like the rims that come with the convenience package; I just wish they were 17's and the v6 came with maybe 18's. (The gaps are huge on the A/C---especially with 16 in)

It would have been nice if illuminated side mirrors were available for the 2.5.

power passenger seat would be nice. New to forums, got a black 3.5 fully loaded on the way.

1.) When inside the car with the doors locked, I'd like to be able to open the drivers door from the inside and have it unlock by itself (KWIM?...my old car did this).

2.) Blinker lights on the mirror side of the side view mirrors

3.) Caller ID should show names (non-tech package).

4.) Placement of the power outlets are kinda awkward...esp in the center console.

5.) Wish the moonroof was a bit bigger.

6.) Wish there was an iPod interface.

In addition to some mentioned above, one of my gripes is the lack of memory for the driver's seat. I'm only 5'10" and my seat is positioned far back enough that if one needs to access the back seat from the driver's side I have to move the front forward due to the small clearance available. Then I have to set it back to the original position.

A one-touch button would have come in handy.

Another 5'10" driver here... why would you tell people to come in your side. make em walk around! or hop in the trunk!

another vote for seat position memory. I'm only 5'5, but I always tell people to just go around to the passenger side since I have my seat adjusted to just the way I like it, and I don't want to tinker with it...

Doesn't the DVD that comes with the A/C mention something about driver's seat position memory?

I agree with a lot of what is said here:

1. Ipod interface2. Better options packages3. Power passenger seat4. Phone book caller id without need for tech package

Also:5. The 2.5 loaded is like a red-headed step child, no option for HID's or side mirror signal lights?6. The aux jack should be somewhere out of the way like in the center console or the compartment under the cd player so wires aren't visible.7. I'm 6' and a Liiitle more head room would be nice with the sunroof equipped a/c's.8. Better noise cancelling on blue tooth ( i get complaints that road noise is too strong)

That said, I love the car!!

Oh, i mean on the intellikey. you can roll down the windows with the key but you cannot roll up the windows with the key.

1) Manual backup for the intelli key. No I don't mean the insert slot for when the battery is weak. I mean a tumbler for if/when the remote is incapacitated. They have one for the door, but what use is it getting in the car if you can't drive it?

2) Deeper trunk. Although I'm not sure what I would be willing to sacrifice to accomplish this.

3) Passenger seat recline memory. Why the default of "rod-up-the-***" seating position? The driver's seat has this.

4) Center console cupholder redesigned so that the one half of it is NOT attached (and rotating) with the lid. I put my cell phone in there, closed the lid once, the phone slid around and under that part so the lid would not open more than a quarter inch. That was an annoying experience.

5) Someone already mentioned the passenger seatbelt rattle, but I will second that motion.

Mostly minor issues, I still love the car.

1) Wish the stock exhaust was a little more like the G or the Z, but I guess that can be taken care of.2) I'm only 6" and it feels like I'm always adjusting my seat so my head isn't touching the roof.

haha...I had the EXACT same thing happen to me, on like the 1st day I got the car! I actually had to snap the lid out of its hinge so I could get my phone out, and then snap it back in place again afterwards!

hmm if we really added all these improvements to the altima coupe wouldn't we just be better off buying a g 35 or maybe a 350z?

I'll assume that you're 6' (feet) tall, cause if you were only 6" (inches) tall, you would always be adjusting the seat so you can see over the steering wheel.

Anyways, I am 6' feet tall also, and seem to have plenty of headroom (I have a moonroof too). There's more headroom than in my old Civic (which had a moonroof also).

Oh ok - sounds like the same set up on the 2003 G35. I can lower the windows with the remote - but have to insert the key in the door to roll them back up. I would think that by now they would have added that function to the remote.

Anyone else find that under hard acceleration, steering is a bit hard to control.. Because of the steering wheel being so light/easy to turn?

But damn.. I love the way the thing moves.. I love the sound of the chirping tires and the feeling of my tires being stuck to the road.. it is so .. crazy.
