Replaced the fuel pump this morning last night was COLD!! After replacing the fuel pump I noticed a few things. First the fuel pressure when idle was now around 39 PSI instead of 34 PSI. I cut the car off to get the air pump to test the FMU and I noticed the fuel pressure did not go to zero. The fuel pressure stayed at 35 PSI. With the old fuel pump the pressure would go to zero PSI as soon as you shut the car off. While applying pressure to the FMU with a hand held air pump I got it to go all the way to 100PSI. The old pump would never go over 55PSI. I believe now that the fuel pressure problem is solved. The problem I have now is that I lost my Firey Ring(Some type of washer that goes against the wastegate valve). I can`t bolt my wastegate with out that ring I have looked all over the place for it. I think I will just sleep on it and try to remember WTF I did with it So now only thing I have left is the Wastegate and fix the oil pan leak.
Well I am real depressed now. Another lonely no 240 weekend Another I am not finished post I really wanted to get this project done this weekend and give everybody the results.
ummm, 100psi....... is this the fuel pressure that you will be at once your car is at wot driving? factory wot fuel pressure is 43.5psi IIRC. is this safe? will the injectors operate in these conditions? a friend of mine bought a nismo fpr to keep his fp constant in his sr after he installed the walbro 255.
maybe i missed something.....
