I have a question. Why does the hp/tq. curve ALWAYS have to cross at 5252 rpm?

HP = (Torque x RPM)/5252

Those keen on Algebra will see that at 5252 RPM, it will cancel out the 5252's leaving:

HP = TQ

i need a VERY big favor from you guys.

i need someone to verify wether or not this is the same dyno that 240nismo tried to use except it's cut and pasted on a different graph.

if one of you should happen to still have 240nismo's graph, can you post it here or email it to me? [email protected]

this is VERY important. any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I got my dyno chart...

160.4 and 160 hp and torque..

but:"1. there isn't a nissan on the planet that has a torque curve that flat. ESPECIALLY a KA." take a looky at my dyno man..my torque curve is ungodly flat. i LIKE it. sucks in the rain though can you say "wheel spin"?

also this is a 4th gear pull, and the speed limiter cut off at 6300 :/

stupid governor.

this is exactly the kind of thing that makes me want to go N/A just to see exactly how far i can take it. notice he hasnt posted in a while.....lol. so right now, what is the fastest all-motor street driven KA that we know of?, whether it be sohc or dohc. How much $$ do you think it would take to top it??

Exar-Kun - have you ran yours in the 1/4 yet?? im curious to see how it does.

no, I have not. I am waiting to get everything else under wraps(LSD, alluminum sub frame bushings, etc) before I run for "real" in a 1/4. my friend erics GS-R ran a 14.9 in the 1/4 with wheelspin, and I can outrun him(I keep my 1/2-1 car length lead I get from 1st and 2nd gear) just barely.

I figure im around the same time, low 15's high 14's...not really sure though. I've beaten many cars that supposively run mid/low 14's like the older SOHC mustang GT's, etc..

when i say beaten I mean I have beaten MANY of them. maybe its the fact my car weighs about 500lbs less...

oh well, once i DO run it, I'll post time slips, good or bad.-chet(jeff at balanced seems to have faith in a mid to high 14-second pass)

ok so, i read that a stock SR gets about 165 rwhp stock, and they run like 14.5s stock dont they?? if thats true, then you should be right there with a stock SR.

any of you gurus out there confident that with a sohc KA and $4,600 i could get into the 13's, 200 + whp?? (hypothetically)

a lot of money. *shrug* you can see everythingi've done on the page listed on my sig. I am about to redo my exhaust a bit(its got a small leak) and the intake(remove the stupid stock piping)..

hopefuly that will net me antoher 1hp or so :p

Im thinking about doing some cams soon, something that I can use N/A and turbo, little more lift, maybe 253 or 258 duration.-chet

yeah, im not going to stay NA unless something catastrophic happens in my plans. im still buying things for my turbo setup, i was thinking about postponing the turbo thing for just a little bit, and get the 11 lb flywheel/driveshaft, and get an lsd. but that would put me a bit behind money wise too, especially if i got a really nice LSD

what brand of cams are you looking at?? ive also been looking for a cam thats turbo-friendly, and ill ive been referred to is shadbolt and i think jwt.

ive got an 11lb jun flywheel that i might get rid of... depends on how serious the buyer is though. id let it go for what i paid for it; 200 bucks.

I'd more than likely have JWT do the cams, and contact sunbelt engines for a valve job and what not. I'd like to get a spare intake manifold and cylinder head with cams so I can get everything done on those headsthen swap them over :)-chet

i did the exact same thing, i got another head and a manifold off this guy so i wouldnt have any down time on the car.

Asleep Altima, how long did you use that flywheel for? i might be interested. Is there real noticeable difference compared to the stock flywheel?

i never got to use it. its got 10k miles on it. i bought it from a guy that blew his engine after a 13.1 pass on his altima. i can send you a pic. it has a slight glaze to it, but no cracks. i was going to break the glaze and install it, but now that i have my ae86, ive got limited funds for the alty.
