but it is unfortunate that you bought it on impulse. for 4500 you could've gotten something really really clean. now i feel like i sold my car for too little...

haha well the buyer just found himself a giddy young gal. Now I feel so stupid because I could have used the money to buy myself... oh... a new headliner.

PICS COME FRIDAY BOYS! BE PATIENT!

yeah I'd have to say you jumped the gun too, in my opinion you could have got a 95 zenki in better condition for $4600 and if you wanted a manual you should have gotten a manual because in the long run you'll save money and time if you don't have to do a MT conversion. those are just my opinions but, congrats and good luck with you project.

Thanks guy, but now I'm really f***ed because the a/c doesn't work, and he did something nuts and threw something out or something, so I need to like replace the whole a/c unit or something. I don't know my dad went to take it to his friend so blahhh. I'm not so happy about that now because he says it's not fixable.

wow. you will learn that these cars are labor of love. I replace a lot of stuff in my car just to make it reliable. eventually, you get to the part of almost rebuilding the whole car. good luck. these are the cars that will teach you how to DIY a lot of the stuff.

Hey, congrats on your 240 purchase.

In my opinion, looks like you've been shammed by the ***hole who sold you the car, but don't let all the work that needs to be done discourage you. I don't even want to think about my first 240 lol.

Grab a pen and paper, write down all the things that needs to be replaced and all the things that need to be fixed and start from there. Good luck on restoring your vehicle and hope you enjoy the car. Remember, your car is for your own convenience, not for anyone elses. If you're not going to enjoy fixing and driving your car, it's not worth it. Through all the leaks and break downs, if you can enjoy your car and drive it to is full potential, what can you say right?

Looking forward to the pictures and your experience.

need a black one.

If Alekz (damn straight I named HIM) gives me enough hell by the time I turn 19 in Jan... which he probably will. I'm gonna get rid of it for a tC. Maybe I'm saying that because I'm super pissed, and some of you guys aren't helping with your repetitive comments lol.

Too bad I live in No-S14-Land and there is none! I'm just really mad that I have a bunch of work to do. Maybe if Nebraska wasn't so whack I could have pulled out a decent amount for a loan and gotten a better one.

I'm sure this attitude will all blow over once I fix the ugly dash, and rug doctor my seats. I'm almost convinced the guy I bought it from soiled himself in the driver seat.

you just have to work it out little by little. you should find a friend that knows how to work on cars to help and guide you along the way. 240's are MONEY PIT cars. this is the reality of owning one but in the bright side, you will feel a great accomplishment and a lot of people will cheer you for fixing this bad boy. these cars are not for everyone.

you can fix up a 240 pretty cheap if you stick to ebay and the junkyard, trust me, i know

Oh, and crack dashes and non-functioning AC is pretty common on 240's. The headling and Odometer problems are super minor. And honestly, mileage doesnt matter, how much rust and wear matters. In the grand scheme of things $4600 is still a cheap-a** car, you just happen to be on a forum filled with bargain hunters.

You're going to get ripped out of money your first time around, it just what happens until you learn the ropes. Lord knows how much money I lost with my car when I was younger.
