I dont know if this will make you feel better, Fujita dynoed a 6MT sedan for their intake, its around 245hp~, after a gain of 12hp.
Really. Go buy a fujita if you don't already have one and dyno your car. You wont get 245!

GBs are to be setup by MODS and ADMIN only.

My husband dynoed his Altima and got 244 WHP with the Fujita intake. Those HP figures seem to be a little TOO low. 180 WHP car will NOT trap 100MPH in the 1/4, more like 92-93 MPH.

I don't think this is worth all the money. A Fujita or Injen will give you 12-15 at the wheels. I even know someone who dyno'd 242whp on a completely independent dyno. So if someone dyno's 15-17whp which I don't think is gonna happen maybe this will be worth it over the current WAI's that are on the market.

I checked JKG RACING's website and its $369.99 USD + 12 USD shipping which makes it $381.99 USD.

So if there is 5 buyers, its $365.00 shipped (Save $17.00 USD)

10 buyers its $355 shipped (Save $27.00 USD)

Hey there 3.5-ers...I found your intake here for a lot cheaper, but it is out of stock. It's at advancespeedshop dot com. I have another link on my favorites on my home pc (yeah, I'm at work) I can send too. Check it out: $283.04http://www.advancespeedshop.co....html

Well I ordered my AEM on Tues it arrived on Fri. and I put it on yesterday. I will post pics later to show you guys what it looks like. I can def. feel a small but noticable increase in power (I also have the nismo exhast and the 2 feel and sounds great together) Install was pretty easy even for a novice like myself. It took me about 2 hours to install. Now let's just see if I get any better gas mileage.

Oh and I was a little worried because it didn't say it was for the coupe or the sedan but I installed it on my 2007 Altima 3.5 SE Sedan

Here's a pic just ignore the dirty engine bay.....

just an FYI... setting up a GB is something reserved for STAFF (admins and moderators only)... setting up one yourself is a quick way to get a ban for a week...

If you have a seller that is looking to setup a GB, email myself, tyler, or another mod to have them take care of the rest.

Kmartin, i know you have good intentions and are new, so ill let your posts slide... consider this a warning

Advancespeedshop now sells it for 369. I tried to get them to honor 283 but they said after they sold one they realized it was the wrong price. duh!! they wouldnt do any better with that price either.

Looks nice but it costs too much.

The Fujita/Injen go for around $250, and you will be paying at least $100 more for some more tubing and sheet metal.

Gimmick or not?

I admit I'm a newbie to performance mods in practice, and only have a middling amount of formal education in fluid dynamics, but calling this a CAI seems like a bit of a stretch.

A true CIA will be using the vacuum created by the engine to suck in colder air from outside the hot engine compartment. This is sucking in air from inside the engine compartment, from an area that theoretically is a bit cooler due to the partitioning. But this is completely reliant on air being forced into the front ram - when starting from off the line at rest, there is no way that compartment is sealed tightly enough that the intake will be pulling air in from that front intake. So... at speed, there might be enough airflow coming through to feed the intake, but even then I really doubt it....

Again, newbie caveat, but I'd be interested in temp readings, both at rest and at speed inside that box vs. the open engine compartment in front of a normal WAI. Also would be interested if there could be a way to determine the volume of air moving through the ram of the intake, vs. coming into the box, to see if that setup really is feeding the intake a significant amount of outside area. It looks like the pipe is the same diameter, and I really doubt even at speed the air being fed into the box equals the demand from the intake. From my understanding, this setup would be pretty much useless unless there was a pretty decent temperature differential, and the volume of air coming into the box >= the volume of air being pulled into the engine at any given time.

was looking at the pictures of the 3.5 Engine bay and then i went and looked into my 2.5 engine bay. Doesnt my 2.5 already have some sort of a cold intake kit stock?

I mean there is a tube that runs from my intake box directly to the front of the car. What more could be done to improve this setup already? seems pretty dam good as is.
