Not sure, I'm taking a driving class at Texas World Speedway road course with the car on Jan 17th so I'm not sure if I'll make it out to MW to drift on the 25th.

Yep, Russells front fenders, lol. He gave 'em to me so I'll see if we can salvage them. This car is a showpiece of Texas drifting history...I have so many parts from Texas drift cars.

some more body work...

My boyfriend sanded and bondo'd more on the almost cracked in half drivers side fender. No more dimples, all holes are filled, and the corners rounded and cut...even kept the finishing line thing. Painted and now needs to be buffed out.

And some close shots of the front bumper...found about 4 cracks and glassed them, need to construct a wire thing where the missing part is for the new fiberglass...then more bondo.

I'm off of 290 E on the NE side. Unfortunately this 240 isn't street legal, would be fun to take to a meet....or scare some vettes and porches

SPL Parts in Austin TX. They do most business online, but they are about 15 minutes from me so I can pick stuff up in person. Really nice guys and nice parts. You can order the 5Zigens from their site http://www.splparts.com

Stripped sound deadening, sanded, ground out the seam glue stuff to stitch weld. What a pita...

Rear suspension is fully adjustable and 5-lug now. Came with long studs, but going to use spacers so the easiest thing was to just cut them :/

Spacers...

Uhh...needs fenders nao!

Primered the bumpers

It was a sad day

Drove 5 hours to the Mineral Wells drift event in TX this Sunday, pulled the car off the trailer and noticed my turbo wasn't spooling. Opened up the intercooler piping and intake to find an oil slick. The turbo looks to have blown the oil seal and welded itself together and I am told it isn't rebuildable; is that true (HKS 2835 Pro S)?

I don't know, maybe get a different turbo, throw a stock on on there and limp along, stop drifting for a while while I replace with same turbo...

I have a call into HKS and it hasn't been returned yet

Were you using an oil restriction fitting on the feed line to the HKS turbo?

This can cause the seal to blow out prematurely and cause sadness.

Also, good job on the build up! Makes me want to start working on mine again.

from what I've seen it will be $900-$1250 to repair the HKS turbo. I think I'll just scrap and go with a Garrett 3076 around the same price. Keeping the HKS one just isn't worth it

here are the updates that happened before the turbo blew

Alignment after I put on all the suspension links and before alignment

After - had the alignment done at NTB, $180 for 5 year alignments and they let me in under the lift and such

After I took the car out at the drift event and found no boost, opened up intercooler piping to find this

didn't have time to polish the body kit, but it came out nice, didn't get a chance to put on rear bumper. Needs to be lower...but this is as low as it can go and still get in my driveway...
