This is the weirdest problem. I am literally ready right now to trade in my car for a BMW or Acura, etc to get rid of this problem. It's completely absurd! I can't even drive without being paranoid that my A/C will turn on any second on full blast and non of the buttons work. If I have to take my car in one more time for this problem, I will file a claim that my car is a lemon. If they do not give me a new car, or fix the problem, I am not even joking right now > I will file a lawsuitmotowno wrote:You are not alone, I have had a few different versions of this problem, it started earlier this year the first time it happend, the radio shut off and none of the buttons on the console or steering wheel worked. I took it in they told me they couldnt duplicate the problem, it happend again the following week I took it back and this time I didnt turn off the car when I got to the service dept, they took it back kept it a couple of days and changed one of the controllers. Brought it home worked fine for a few weeks then bingo radio shuts off again fan stuck on high nothing else worked not even the backup cam...took it back they had it for a couple days again...this time they said the tech line told them they were aware of the problem but no one knew how to fix it as of yet told me to bring it home and keep checking back with them...but now this latest round when it locks it turns the AC on Blast the screen blanks and nothing can be controlled...the only way to stop it is to shut off the car for a few seconds...but now as soon as the car is turned back on I switch off the ac and within 10 seconds its back in the same cycle but only the screen stays off.
I loved the car till this started and if there was anything else i wanted out there Id trade this thing in a heartbeat!
I hope they figure this out soon
Yes, I have a Treo 700w, but how could that be the problem when it has never happend to me in the past and then out of no where it just does...doesn't seem to make any sense.motowno wrote:Ok seems more than just us are having this problem, did another search and found this zerothread/277895 this seems to imply that its a bluetooth issue, would you by any chance have a plam treo?
I Have the 700wx so if my car wernt in the shop id try it right now. Why would they list it on their site as compatable....
Ok well I guess your right. So where can I get this "update" from? Does it update the computer system? Can you be more specific on this update. Thanksinfinitiandbeyond wrote:HEY! I started a string a couple of weeks ago. IT IS INDEED BECAUSE YOU HAVE A TREO 700 PAIRED UP!!!!
TRUST ME...SPARE YOURSELF some anguish. Unpair the phone and Inifiniti is supposed to have a fix out in about a month.
This only happens WHEN YOU HAVE A TREO 700 phone paired up.
The M35 is not the only car with this problem. IT IS ALSO A Q56, M45 or ANY Infiniti vehicle with the identical navigation system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE DON"T SINGLE OUT THE M35.
Thanks.
I e-mailed them and got no response. Call center was useless as well. My dealer (Santa Monica) doesn't acknowledge the problem either. Guess I'm going to be stuck with this issueinfinitiandbeyond wrote:Yes, there are two things I would recommend you do to place yourself on Infiniti's notification list.
Call their Consumer Affairs line at 1-800-662-6200 to report your issue, which they will acknowledge exists, AND send an email to [email protected].
Well I got the problem back again today while driving. AC came on Auto and everything locked up (again, this happens randomly)...the worst part is that for some reason this time around, even after I reboot the car, and I push the AC on manually, it will turn on, but will not light up on my console at all!ttsupra26 wrote:

Well I took the car back to the dealer again last week, and pushed them to diagnose the problem, and this time around they actually admit that THE CUSTOMER IS RIGHT! Took them this long to figure it out. Well, I'm happy to say they replaced the "Nav Control Unit" which they thought was causing the problem, so I just got it back yesterday. I'll keep you all posted if any issues arise again. Thank you to all!infinitiandbeyond wrote:Well, I guess all I can tell you is that Infiniti Consumer Affairs informed me of the fix, I took it into my dealer, they applied the fix(replaced the dvd player in the glove box which evidently has more than just NAV electronics in it) and I have still not had another issue with it. I still have the same Treo 700w.
