Those with an M and a Treo 700 (W), YOU NEED THIS FIX!

Ask your dealer for Bulletin #07038. What they will end up doing is replacing your NAV DVD player in the glove box.

It was worth the wait and it is much better than I had expected!

I originally had an additional issue with a voice delay when paired with my M. That is now GONE and it is literally indistiniguishable between hands-free and using my Treo in my hand!!!

I also now get "virtual bread crumbs" on my nav screen. It places a circle every so often on the path I have traveled. Instead of having to reverse my route, I just follow them on my return trip. In BIRD VIEW you can see them in the other lane on a divided highway!

BRAVO INFINITI!!!

I informed them about BULLETIN #07038 Nav Screen lockup with Treo's)...Santa Monica Infiniti (bad service btw) said that bulletin has nothing to do with Treo's or any other cell phone related issue. They said it is a problem with a Nav screen and other computer related lockups that should happen on a permenant basis. I told him that it only happens when I connect my Treo 700w to the bluetooth in my M but that the lockup comes occasionally, not all the time. He said BULLETIN #07038 is for lockups that happen every time the car is on, but nothing to do with phones. I told him it is some kind of mistake, because others on this board are complaining about the same issue with the phones, but he said NOP!

I'm very frustrated because CA has a new law that is going in effect very soon that requires all drivers to use hands free while on phone, and it would be such a waste for me to go out there and purchase a headset because of my M's bluetooth.

I would highly recommend calling Infiniti Customer Service and pushing them. Given the new law coming up, they should be able to push the Dealer into doing this change ... no certainty, of course, but it may work.

I tried calling them a year ago, but no luck. What # do you have for them?

I mentioned the occasional lockup and was told by the service advisor that it requires parts, is not only software and that they had to order the part. The part (whatever it is) has arrived and is scheduled to be installed next Friday. BTW, I haven't any Treo issues with bluetooth, though it is a 750W on AT&T services.

Will update everyone when the service is accomplished.

The part that has to be ordered is the actual Navigation control unit and they are telling the truth---They dont come directly from Nissan so it has to be special ordered. Also this bulletin is Vin specific so thats why maybe some are told that they dont need the update in hardware.
