Hey gang,Got some solid number finally on the cost for the 97+ CAI. First off this cant happen unless i get a MINIMUM of TEN Confirmed orders. I have to pay for 20 units and i cant afford to front it all thats why 10 are needed. OK heres the specs on the kit. Black powdered coated, black rubber couplings and T-bolt clamps, K&N cone filter, MAF adapter flange. The cost will be $250 shipped in the USA for the first 10 orders. FYI the production design will vary slightly from the prototype. The most noteable place will be at the connection point to the elbow that connects to the thottle body...Instead of a funky reducing coupling the piping will be flared to match the diameter of the stock elbow. The 2nd change will be the MAF flange will be welded to one piece of the CAI pipe...this will save a coupling and 2 clamps...which will look alot cleaner.

I have personally observed the painstaking detail this guy puts into engineering his stuff, and I support this endeavour 100%!

Or, you can continue to get blown away by those pesky 90-95 Q45's... Hmmmmm.

Aren't you gonna order the CAI?

Sounds like it's pretty sweet and has been carefully designed.

I dont have any actual orders yet. Until i get ten people standing in line with money I cant do anything. I also dont want to take money until i have 10 people standing there with the money. As far as ETA on having them ready to ship once i get all the orders? 2-3 weeks on the piping manufacturing. Once thats started ill get all the other stuff ordered and ready to go.

I'd like one, two questions, what will the install be like, and how much HP do you think it adds. I'll e-mail you and get going on this, sounds like a no-brainer. FYI, I just saw this today, give us some time to get moving! There are a few other 2nd geners that I know will be chiming in.

Send it back. Hot under hood air is not a performance booster. Neither does inferior filtering prolong engine life. But boy, does it sound faster.

Kevin dont send it back <if> you are using it in conjunction with a CAI.

A K&N goes with terry's CAI anyway.

shot Auto Zone prob going to nail me with a charge on it, oh well. better to pay that then not get this package. looking forward to all the info. no ones knows what the HP increase will be? will this make the car sound rumbly or whatever, mine is so quite i like it. unless i hammer her to the floor for a take off then she screams haha. i just got rid of a Mitsubishi Diamante, the exhaust noise on that thing was driving me bonkers! So i like cars without much if any noise unles syou step on it. so if this package is going to piss off all the neighbors forget that lol
