I've never replaced it since I got it. It's not clean and I don't like it. I'll replace it soon. I'm trying to do it myself, so I bought a convertible shop manual. Looks tough though. This shop is on eBay, and it's a popular place among 240 vert guys I believe.

Thanks, man. Whenever I work on my car, I think about what you said. "Do it right & clean and do it like stock..." You said something like that in your project thread. I don't even start if I can't do a clean job. I also think about what nissanconvert said once... "Your car shows what kind of peron you are..." I don't remember exactly, but it goes something like that. Well said and I was impressed...

Sorry, stormeye. I'll keep this car forever.

I got the side skirts from Jarco(eBay seller) in GA and rear valences from Japan. Both of them were in mint condition without chips or cracks and side skirts came with complete hardwares except one bracket under the car. Had to get missing one from Panda Garage. You just need 6 screws for rear valences. I have some tips.

1. You have to drill 2 holes on the rear bumper to install rear valences2. When you search for rear valences, make sure these corners are intact. I've seen only a couple of pairs that have good corners on both sides.3. Some companies make fiber glass rear valences, but don't buy them. You have to fabricate a lot to make them fit right on your car.4. There are like 4 different side skirts, and what you want is ones from Silvia Aero version.5. Cracks are common on these parts, but they are fixable.6. Try to buy a pair of side skirts with all the hardwares. It's not easy to fabricate them, and it's safer to install side skirts with factory hardwares.

Thanks for the info and heads up. How much was the rear valence in USD?

I'm thinking about getting some later on. I've been searching the net and haven't found a place that sells them. I'll keep searching but if I don't find any, let me know when you plan on taking this trip to Japan.

I paid $250 shipped. These rear valences are extremely rare even in Japan. I asked one guy I know, and he emailed every junkyard he knows in Japan, and guess what he got 0 response. He was shocked too. I waited about 1 year and finally got what I wanted. I ran into several pairs here and there, but didn't want to settle down with damaged ones. Once, I was desparate, so I bought a pair of fibergalss copy. Guess what? They were thick, hard as rock and need to be modified big time, so I gave up. You can buy fiberglass copy from here. http://bings.ca/index.php?page...ild=8

Just be patient. Or you can just go with aftermarket aero kit.

Ehh I think i'll pass on that one. I don't feel like messing around with fiberglass. I think some OEM Silvia or 180sx side skirts and a Xenon lip should be just fine for me.

Try this combination. Any OEM side skirts and painted rear mud guards. One of the members had his red s13 coupe that way and it looked great. He also had a Xenon lip. Trust me. It'll look like something's missing if you have nothing on the rear bumper.

Nope! You need these 3-piece rear valences for your hatchback.

nah... those looked too agressive... i wanted something that flowed a bit smoother with oem chuki skirts rather than kouki...

i also thought about chopping my mudguards like whats-his-face, but apparently hatch mudgaurds are different than coupes... the coupe ones have more "meat"...

Keep the OEM Canadian HICAS sideskirts in mind.. they are poly and would also be a good match for the Xenon lip. Really hard to find, though. I was going to get a set, but decided to stick with 4 mudguards instead (sideskirts and front mudguards don't mix).

Google "Canadian SE Optional Sideskirts" and follow the link to the "other forum".

They look a lot like OEM Silvia sideskirts but the bottom is curved a little where the Canadian ones go straight across.

The part near the rear wheel also seems to have an indentation that the JDM ones don't have.
