Yo AZHitman ...

My wife thinks this response is an award winner: "" CookdinnerwipenosesmopfloorsgotoPTAmeetingsdrivekidstosportingeventswashlaundrymakebedsscrewmyhusbandwashdishespacklunchespaybillsbuygroceriesandlotsofothersh!tyou'renotqualifiedtodoyoucorporatedyke."

4 kids here, and she/the spousal unit - hehehehe .... is an absolute stud-ette. My home is crazy and she deals with 9, 6, 3 and 1.5 year olds all day - madness.

Four kids, cars, house, utilities, taxes and property taxes in Souther California as the other poster from Newport Beach CA pointed out is a pretty nasty MOFO on 1 income .... sometimes I wish I had the extra Ummmmph ... of the working spouse, but then I spend a Sat with the munchkins and recall real quick why I dont have a 36 ft twin screw HALLET and a place at Havasu :-)

A good friend of mine has a 1992 500E, it is an absolute rocket, however we have owned are cars about the same time and I can honestly say that his has spent a considerable more time in the shop than the Q, the Benz does handle better, and even out accelerates the Q, however from a 90-100 mph roll its pretty good, no clear winner at least to 125, anyway I have to say that the interior in the Q IMHO is a lil more personal feeling, the Benz leather however has held up better but that could be due to the previous owners up keep, The 500E is awesome it has run 14.01 @ 101 mph at New England Dragway in New Hampshire, but its just somethin about an old Q that makes you feel special, when im walking away from my car and the evening light hits the pearle just right ( haha that rhymes) I cant help but turn around like 10 times and just admire the timeless and beautiful design of the car, actually it just makes my heart melt, im tearing up now so I must go, you guys are great.:D brings tears of joy to my eyes every time I drive it.

The new rich buy the things they wanted when they were growing up, a good example is the cash money millionaires guys. One of them has fifty cars.

The sultan of brunei has a car museum and he has been known to order six different colors of one car- that cost $2.5 million a piece.
Baby (aka The Birdman) of the Cash Money Millionaires has recently added a fleet of vehicles, many that were custom painted green to his stable. Included in the collection is a green Infiniti FX45 with what looks like 22 inch wheels (black center w/chrome lip). Last year most of the toys he acquired were custom painted red. As CEO of his own record label, I bet he will try to use every one of them as a tax write off...:naughty

Since Chrysler acquired MBZ, a major cost savings program is on-going in the electronics area. Chrysler has been a leader in using 'standard' computer boxes to accomplish most all functions by using different software. MBZ had a much different approach--each function has a different computer --and many different varieties (versions) are required for the different models and accessories.

Result: Chrysler electronics are much more reliable and much lower cost. Updates of software to fix bugs are easily accomplished during 'routine' visits to Dealers without customer involvement.

MBZ denies there is a problem until it appears on '60 minutes'

What does this mean for those of us who like to buy 4-7 year old superfine cars and drive them another 5-7 years? Look for extremely high cost for replacement electronics in MBZ product. It is extremely difficult for the techs to find and fix faults even when they are in their youth and they are seeing them every day. Imagine the problem when you have a 10 year old one that dies every time you put down the right rear window with the wipers on. That is a simple example of the types of problems the MBZ approach brings.
