Just wanted to 'hopefully' clear this up. From what I remember, heat range '5' is stock. And some people use the '6' for mild builds. But then the highest/coldest I've seen is a '7'. Which is what I use.

Anyone else want to confirm this? This is all for the KA motor, right? Because I've seen them go up to heat range '9' for the RB's, but not the KA's.
Well yeah i know i left it ou for reason.

5 is like bone stock when modding your engine your never going to hear someone talking about useing NGK 5's like for turbo and stuff.

^true I remember when I had under 50 posts like a year ago, same knowledge but people wouldn't reply to my posts as much or take me seriously. Post count is over-rated, one could be posting-whoring all over general chat for all we know lol that's just the way it goes tho..

Boostednismonj, I apologize if you think some of us are d1cks some of us weren't trying to flame you or nothin it's just that we hear a lot of ricers from time to time that wanna make tons of hp with not knowing anything about the work, time and money involved, which you obviously know about. But i wish you all the luck in the world to get this project going!

flickr has free hosting, so does image station. If you have a GMail account they give you a gig of personal storage. I use GMail as a back up for a lot of pc stuff...lol.

On Nico we have a deal with Iserve, its not free, but when you reply or make a new post, you can click the Iserve button and it will link directly to your account to add pictures.

also good luck with your build cant wait to see your pictures

two years ago i did a thread like this...then i grew up, checked reality, bought a daily driver, a motorcycle, and now my cage is going in my car and my motor is coming together.

my advice, dont post anything up about your car until you have parts and pics of progress.

i can post up that im making a quad cam ka with two cranks and 6 turbos and get the same response as you have been getting.

start workin on this car and then start a thread.

o and what axles you plannin on goin with?? take on another 550 for ams shafts

and what you gonna do for a cage, seats, harness??

what you gonna run everyday for tires?? better get some origin overfenders or flares so you can actually put some meats on that dont spin when you let the clutch out.

I also would run a water/air IC, far more efficient

so ya,,, and where do you work??

^true that's kinda what i meant, it's just natural for people not to believe you if you don't have pics and such...ie: you should post pics of dyno slips, or even parts sitting in your garage, anything helps..

I also heard the z trannies will fit in ka's, I don't know about the mods needed tho. my transmission whines like a sonafabitch cuz it ran dry after the rear seal popped out on the freeway so i might look into it when it gets louder or fails on me one of these days

i didnt even read half the posts

give the guy some time to see if he actually backs up what he says

like geo said my car was about 500rwhp on tap with pump gas and methanol

the new car is going right over 600rwhp, not sure about with methanol tho

will i drive it on the street? hell yes. theres no problem riding around with a ton of power. you just use it when is a smart time.

every street isnt a drag strip when you have alot of power. you become more discplined with it.

i used to drive faster when my s14 was NA then when it was 300-400-500rwhp

yeah i know exactly what you mean, my friends when i was younger would always ride the slower 4-stroke dirt bikes because it was "safer". I rode a cr80 that was scary fast for the size and people would say "that's too much power". But who says you have to open it up ALL the time? Just when you need to-a fast car can still cruise around like a Lincoln Continental if it wants to..

ya the 300zxtt trans is the most popular conversion to handle good power, besides the c4 auto

mazzworks makes the bellhousing adapter

they came down in price to around 500 for the kit minus the trans

I would also recommend AMS' axles, they run about 550
