Whats up guys, I just joined and figured I'd post some pics of my buddies 240sx that we just finished.

We put a efi 5.0L mustang in it.

:)

I got some video but I dont know where to host it.

We just got it running, its a fun car, lots of power and I'm sure not liked by all or many but great none the less.

Thanks, we still have alittle issue with the driveline angles that will be worked out this weekend. You only really feel those @ 70+mph. Some shimmin should fix that.

And a small fuel delivery problem also, but thats no biggie.

custom driveshaft, ----- $80 plus we machined a adapter mounts, ------------------ Home made. Basicly 2-3 inches higher/in from the stock mounts steering rack, ---Stock, no power steering harness - Painless wiring kit wired into the 240 harness. Our dream was to keep the heads up display but that wasnt happening. It uses a 90 mustang ecu and is fuel injected.Motor has a B cam, fulllength headers, cobra mas, throttlebody and some other goodies. This is basicly our "prototype" eninge. The next engine will be alittle nicer. ;) Something with boooooost! :)

Pretty cool.

I can host the vids on a fast server for you - but that leaves getting them to me.If you have AIM I am hlh0501 and you can send them on there. If they are small enough to email (under 10 megs) you can now use yahoo email to send/receive 10meg files... [email protected] but let me know if you do that bc I never check that account.

That is because you have to log in to dsmlife to see them. If you send me the pics too I will host + link them as well

again, if under 10 megs, [email protected] but let me know by pm or im that you sent to that account

Who has the small block? I'd like to talk to them. See what we did as to what he did. See his power, times,etc...

We set the fire wall 4 inches back down by the tunel. Really we could have gone further. So a big block would be doable.

You just wouldnt have a nice hood. lol

The guy with the LT1 is an odd soul that goes by the name of Aries on here. He's also a Nitrous freak...alot of displacement + alot of nitrous = his car.

Honestly, you haven't been driving for 2 years and you magically know what's supposed to be in what? As a high schooler, you most likely hopped on the 240 bandwagon to swap in an ultra-tyte SR20, right? Well an SR20 doesn't belong in a 240, and neither does my Skyline engine. Do you hate that too? I'm sorry but hating on putting a powerful V8 into one of the lightest, most nimble and affordable sports cars ever to hit our shores is just plain ignorant.

Edit: Appreciating ingenuity and automotive skill > you. ;)

sr20 does not belong in a 240? SR came stock in an S-chassis car,how does it not belong? (1) The SR20DET is overpriced for what you get.Is very unoriginal, and I just plain don't like the engine set-up.(2) I never knew about the 'bandwagon' or any other of this bull**** when I bought my 240sx,I bought it b/c it was CHEAP,cool,CHEAP,fun,CHEAP,a nissan,CHEAP,good insurance rates and my parents said okay (I tried to get a DSM,AW11,FC or RX,old VW bug and 5.0 mustang before the 240). It was NOT my first choice....

Your RB engine is at least a NISSAN engine in a NISSAN chassis.

I never said the guy didn't have good automotive skill. I don't think its particularly ingenuis though. Its a simple redneck idea: get a big-*** engine, and you can go fast. Example:Muscle cars.

Plenty of guys have dropped domestic V8s into small import chasiss. Its not a new thing. My uncle had a datsun 510 with a chevy 327 back in 197_ that he swapped himself. I've seen plenty of V8 triumphs,MGs,even a couple of 240s already. Its not a new thing...

How is it ignorant? He could make all the power he wants out of an SR20DET,CA18DET,or even RB__DET(T) ,AND keep the car nice and nimble instead of having a large, heavy ,clunky and unreliable ford V8.

I have personally owned a car powered by a mustang EFI 5.0 , and one of my closest freinds throughout my entire life just sold the one hes babied since it was new. I have met plenty of other people with them as well....
