Seeing as how you were driving in the triple digits, I'm just wondering how you didn't get arrested for wreckless driving. If that was the case, getting your license suspended would be the least of your worries.

What made you want to go 102 for long enough to get busted?

Do you pay your own insurance? If not, then wouldnt your mom figure it out any way? Telling her might be the best route.

I don't have any tickets on my record, because I haven't had any in three years.

your best bet is just not speeding or doing any other dumb driving, granted, I still do my fair share, I'm just careful with it.

At 16, triple digit speeds as a second offense? You might be able to drive again when you're 21.

110 in a 70 was my worst one, Mr1der can tell you all about the State troopers on I-40 in TN. They love pulling people over. Anyways, I wsa 16 and that was my 2nd time getting pulled over. Luckly my dad was a state trooper at the time so I got off. However, the standard is 3 tickets = pulled license for 30 days and double that for each additional ticket. However, it's all up to either the general sessions or the juv...I don;t know how to spell it judge. The way it works here is that minors go to the juvy judge, he's in the habit of taking licenses away more than general sessions, because one deals with "stupid kids" the other deals with "working people who make little mistakes". either way, good luck, get a radar detector.

its not a second offense the no regfistration isnt a moving violation most places.besides the "no Reg" will be driopped when u show proof of regitration.

The speed is bad probaly double or triple points than normal speeding ticket but not reckless driving ticket was given ( condtions must have been good) so its still "just" a speed.

Your ticket is in no danger at all, or at least it wouldnt be in the states I've driven in a lot (MN +KY).

I've been pulled over 22 times, and only gotten two tickets (woot!). Only because im usually in military uniform though.... one time this cop let me off for street racing even though I had no license, registration, or insurance. Crazy stuff man he could have tossed my @$$ in jail and impounded my car!

A) It sounds like you are either lying or not telling us something. Not 100% though because I dont live in the states.

B) Why the **** would you put others in danger? Dont be so damn selfish. Stock 240 brakes are garbage and your not terribly expirienced either. Take it to the track and kill yourself, but dont place risk on other people. I would assume that there were not too many people around, which makes other drivers less cautious too. One mistake and everyone is dead, or wishing they were dead.

C) Why the hell is everyone telling him how he can avoid getting caught? Do we all encourage dangerous driving? It definitely looks like it to me. I dont wonder why anyone who looks like a car enthusiats today is frowned upon as a "street racer" or just as some inexpirienced clown who drives aggresively.

Take a moment to think about the risk your taking upon yourself to place on other people who dont want anything to do with you.

Anyhow, you dont have to like my comments, but I thought I would share my feeling of surprise at this thread.

Damn, 42 over? You have me beat by 4 mph...thats so disappointing to me :( Anyway, the chances of you getting your liscense taken away is very slim, you'll probably have to pay a big fine and go to some crap class, but all in all you'll come out ok.

they will indeed nail that *** if you're heading or coming back from east TN, it's usually not too bad towards Memphis though.

I'd like to add this to what Mike said above:

You're off to a great start -

Mom is footing the bill for your insurance (I don't care how much you pay, it's not covering the increase to her rate).

You've already decided to withhold this information AND lie to her if necessary.

I can almost bet you don't have more than the minimum liability coverage (which means if you hit a car that costs more than $15K to replace, your Mom loses everything.

You've been driving for AT MOST a year, so you have no clue how to control a vehicle beyond "stab it and steer".

AND I don't get the sense from reading your posts that you're exactly the class valedictorian (no offense).

Time to wise up, sunshine - Speeding at those levels is for the properly-equipped, and you, my friend, are not.

A small part of me hopes you get to keep your license. Be careful out there.

well, that registration (like someone said up above) is easily taken care of when you show your proof of registration.

Now about that fast speeding. Tell your mom. My friend was going 85 and weaving (he was mad at his gf in the car) and he hit about 2-3 cars. Blew up is Type R on the 10 fwy (ca). Now they're having to fight legal wars and can loose everything, including their house.

This story might not apply to you, but your mom will surely feel the increase of insurance. Just take it like a man. Your consequences are gonna be harsh, but tough it up trooper, you're screwed with your mom. (sorry to be blunt).

Depending on who and what kind of mood the judge is in, you can either have your license revoked for however many days the judge says, or have your license suspended until your either 18 or 21.

Hopefully you can take traffic school.

Good luck..you'll need it
