Carl can knock out 750's without a problem. Believe he should have a rock solid tune for them (well atleast 720's or so). Go 750 :P just so when you get tired of 400 you're not upgrading again.

You have a few options around that way for the clutch, all depends what you are looking for.

Thanks man. I'll do that with the 750's. I think i'll just hold on to the clutch i have in the transmission now. It feels great and it doesnt slip at all. If it becomes a problem which im sure it will then i'll upgrade it. I thought carl h was running an xtd clutch though??? Can anyone comment on this??

How much horsepower do you have right now? Have you been in a 400 horsepower S14?

I know I know but i have driven a 400 horsepower car. My buddy has a nearly 450 horsepower supra and im not a terrible driver. I know mine and the cars limits. Im comfortable with having 400 and im ready for it.

i had an xtd clutch intially when they first came out, but back then they were exedy HD pressure plates and clutch net discs...they have since changed manufactuers.I run a spec stage 3 clutch on my car with no ill effects...have done so for the past 2.5 years now give or take.as far as hp goes 740's are more than enough fuel for what you want and will give you head room to work with; my 720s are only at 74% duty at 22psi...so i could potentialy squeeze close to 30psi out of the turbo before fuel would run out.also comparing a 450whp supra to a 450whp s14 is apples to oranges, the supra has a good 1klbs on the s14 and when you're talking about that large of a weight difference i can tell you that the s14 will be loads faster.I hope you have a good lsd and suspension setup because you'll be all over the road otherwise...my s14 is setup to the point where i dont loose traction when boost hits but you sure as hell better be able to keep it in a straight line as it pulls like a cut bastard.

Yea i believe that. I'm prepared though. What do you guys suggest for the bare minimum on suspension mods. I dont want a hardcore track setup since i live on backroads in tennessee which means hills and potholes and some rough ride conditions and i dont feel like blowing out some good coilovers in a year. Should i get coilovers? Traction rods? Tension rods? Im not a suspension guru AT ALL so any help is good

Also you said you could push 30 psi on the 720s. How much boost do you think i'll have to run to get the ol' diesel turbo (HX35) to give me 400hp??

And Carl H if you dont mind me asking, how much power are you making now???

750cc injectors HA! I say. Grab some 800cc's and you won't ever worry untill you need more hp....

I got mine from RHDJapan a long time ago. They are the Sard 800cc top feed low impedance injectors. I think they have a high impedance top feed now. Sard,Greddy,HKS ect they all use Denso injectors and throw there names on it. The Part numbers are denso. http://www.sardracing.com/products/Injectors.htm

Certainly not 30psi. I'd guess like 1.2-1.3 bar.

i was close to 400whp on a dynodynamics setup at 18psi...around 390whp at that time.engine has since been rebuilt, retuned and runs more boost so i'd guess around 415-425whp now at 22psi.

Thats pretty impressive!! I think you should take some vids of it. Ive seen all the old ones but i would love to see some new ones.

So what suspension mods do you guys suggest??

So far ive learned that i need the deatschwerks 750's, a much better clutch, and some suspension work. Im thinking of getting some drag radials too

So feel free to chime in and give any tips and pointers you can.

Id love to get some more opinions on a clutch and suspension. Thanks guys

suspension setup depends on what application of driving you'll be doing. Kind depends on budget.

then tires should be listed in the TO DO list as well.

Tires, Diff, and the struts & springs or coilovers of choice once again depending on how you drive.

Adjustable arms are always nice when getting into this mess.

Thats a pretty intense list youve got there. I looked at the dspec once upon a time but wasnt sure they would be great but i take it they are. Can you adjust ride height with those??

no, ride hight is set by the springs...i am quite happy with the drop the eibach kit gives and it handles well...not much more to say.

no comments about the wing...its factory oem nissan aero believe it or not; fully adjustable and you dont want to know how much it cost.

wow carl the car looks great. The last pics i saw of it were when it was blue emerald or the other green lol. I think i might get some kts low coilovers and some sway bars and the power brace. That should be a good setup for a daily driver.

So does anybody have any comments on a preferred clutch?? I think its the last thing on the list for now

Well i thought id post up a little bit of an update for anybody that cares lol.

Im gonna be beefing up the bottom end a little with:

ARP Rod BoltsARP Head StudsCometic MLS Headgasket

I considered doing bearings but the motor is in good shape so i'll hold off for now.

Also im gonna be running a spec stage 3 clutch since theyre relatively inexpensive.

I got my synapse wastegate in the mail the other day and this thing is pretty impressive. I cant wait to test this thing out!

Also the innovate lc1 showed up so i can finally know whats going on with my motor.

Well if anybody has any input feel free to post it up. I like hearing what you guys have to say about it, unless its bad lol. Have a nice day

They'll hold up fine as long as you dont run lean, or detonate. The stock pistons are burl, but they're only as good as your tune.
