36 months of complimentary XM service w navtraffic

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

drdamian,Thanks for the note about the 36 months complimentary subscription. After a couple of tries, the CSR rep at 800-347-0600 (then hitting 0 for a live person) gave me the 36 month package with navtraffic. Being NICE always works.

The poor fella I was talking with was surrounded by an army of loud talking reps. One was talking over the other kinda situation - I wished him a good weekend and he added the comped plan to my M. Today is a good day.

I can't believe you were still able to get this. I called last month or so on 3 different occasions, but was denied the service every time. I was told that I would have to take it up with the dealer who sold me the car.

I was able to get it yesterday, seems that most people have better luck with a female rep, as did i since the first 2 times i tried i got a male rep that told me to contact the dealer.

Just try again, like they say be kind rewind.

Hi guys,

Do you have to wait until the first 3 month is over? My will expire end of April but I wanted to get it done before the "offer" is over.

Do I just call and say I need to get my 3 year complimentary XM service for my infiniti and provide my ID?

Thanks for the help!

Ok, I'm motivated to attempt this again. I hate seeing only red streets on my nav screen.

Does anyone know off the top of their head what information must be provided to XM? I'm at work and don't have my VIN with me or a radio code. Are any of these needed?

Radiocode is needed you can get it by tuning your XM to ch.1 or 0 i think.

I had my code, but I think they can also search by name if you ever contacted them during your trial to get free 3 months of Navtraffic added.

For the other poster, just keep trying multiple operators, especially if you got a man(no offense to the ladies, but the male operators seemed to be more tough with trying persuade or convince to get the 3years.) Once you have a female operator just be really nice and ask about the weather and keep them occupied and then ask about your free 3 years XM and Navtraffic with Infinity offer that you heard from your dealer. Some have heard of it right off the bat. Some never heard of it then searched and found it. Some realized it was only for the QX truck, mostly male operators. Some heard of it and didnt know it was limited to the QX, like the last person I spoke to(nice woman from Virginia), and then they will happily add 3 years for free!

Got my 3 year added today!I spke to a guy when I called and for some odd reason he transfer me to another lady (which is a good thing)The lady I spoke with doesn't know what I was talking about and she spent some time and cannot find the deal in her system...Then she told me she found a 3 year service for the QX but she added to my EX anyways~ YAAAYYYYY!!!

I had gotten my free 3 years a couple of weeks before my trial was due to expire. But I have been getting calls non-stop to renew the service anyway. I don't know why but maybe the people who monitor all trials aren't connected to the system to see if someone has already renewed. i still have service, but i spoke to someone yesterday telling me my trial has expired and do I want to renew. i just played dumb and said i am not interested at this time.lol. I have gotten many calls though. Has this happened to anyone else who has gotten the free 3 year extension?

I definitely will not be paying for this service. I am not sure what has happened, but I had XM stations (maybe 6 in total), then the satellites aligned and I was receiving more stations. Now I get 0, 1 and 276... The code is registered as far as I know.

XM is dying. I would never pay for a radio. You have a hard disk with the nav, I would upload all your cd's and play them. XM is out!!!

I swore I read through it and didnt find anything to clear on this. It goes back and forth about $4 a month, if you tell them that you own a QX, etc.

Well as of now, when I called, they are not offering this on any Infiniti more than the 36 months. The QX will offer XM for 36 months, but the dealer needs to send in the paperwork, basically XM stopped others from getting this. I just spoke to a lady in Texas for XM.

I know that there is a way around this. I will figure it out. I dont like XM anyway. I like the Hard disk.

I use XM to listen to CNBC or CNN more than for music.

Like my posts and drdamians posts state, we had to try multiple times, trying different operators, before we had success. You're just not working it enough, you need to tell them your dealer told you to just call to set it up. If you just call and ask them they will tell you what they want to tell you, that its just for the QX, etc. You need to hustle them a little bit. If you are nice to them and make some casual conversation they will try to help you out. Either that or move to brooklyn for a couple of months to learn how to win friends and influence people.

Come on man, everyone knows, well at least that I do, since I ate the pizza there that Brooklyn makes the best pizza and philly cheese sandwhiches in the world. Chicago pizza is also so very good. I use to live there.

The east coast has the best food, but the west coast has the best weather and the hottest looking woman.

Took me over 10 calls...but finally got it done. although, at one point in time, i checked the terms by logging in online was given the 36 monthr xm radio, but the nav traffic was still only 3 months. I called to get corrected and they went back to only 3 months for both. Called back to say "what's going on?" and they corrected the xm nav traffic to 36 months but left the radio to only 3 months. Called back again to correct, this time finally made both items 36 month terms. whew.

i live in philly and i must say that the cheese steaks are the best. im glad people are getting this deal. please read my first few posts and it outlines exactly what to say. I would not admit that you have an EX. the deal is for a QX. if you tell them that you have an EX then you should not be entitled to the complimentary service. They never asked me about my vehicle, but if they did, i would have insisted that the car i posses is an QX. just my .02
