In all, we are trying discuss our feelings on the matter, and to debate how to prevent this. And a good debate has to be argued from both sides. I am not bringing up gun control, but I will defend my side of the issue. Everyone has an opinion, and should be free to discuss/defend it. But we are all too wiling to blame the weapon, not so much the guy holding it. Would you all be yelling "hair dryer control" if he would have thrown an energized one into the pool killing 33?
Sure, we all see things differently, but we all agree on one thing, this was a tragedy that should have been prevented, or at least de-escilated.

How about this scenario. As reports are still comming in, what we know is that this guy was pissed at his GF which was probably the original target for his aggression. Now let's take this, maybe the guns were his fathers or maybe he amassed them during his period of being "normal" and perfactly fit to owning a firearm. But in his short life he got a girlfriend who he fell for and then she maybe banged somebody else and he found out about it. Now there can be different outcomes, one he is sooo pissed off at her that now everything "bad" that ever happened in his life finally combined with this last event push him over the edge and he looks over at the arsenal of weapons he has and gets an idea. There is no time for him to think of this rationaly or to cool off since these weapons are there right now readily available at a blinks notice to help him carry out his plan. As we horribly know he carried that plan out and we are left with 33 people dead. Now you say that nothing will stop a criminal from getting a gun and killing somebody if they truly want. I agree but it would take one thing, time, maybe time to find somebody, time to go out and buy these weapons legaly or illegaly and maybe time to regain ones senses and figure out that they are not in their right mind at this point and possibly seek help. But then again you say that sure maybe he will never cool off he'f crazy and will always be crazy, ok lets wait the legal amount of time for him to obtain a 9mm weapon, let's wait for him to get illegal weapons, a week a month or 2 same ending 33 people dead. Now lets go and take the guns away from everybody except the police and armed forces, than you'll say to me he'll think of another weapon to take life, a bomb, or a knife or whatever, and people still die. Now we are talking about a psychopath that pretty much thinks of nothing all in his life except how to kill people which I belive is not the case here, this seems more like a stress/psychotic breakdown of somebody, possibly a period of temporary insanity. And gun crimes far outweigh bomb crimes in our history. What is the right thing to do here? Will something come out of this? Don't know either, but people tend to copy other people, killers get ideas from killers and if things continue the way they are we will most likely have more of these type of horrible days and innocent people being ripped away from their families forever. I apologize if I offended anybody or the time isn't for this type of post right but I'm just touching up on the thoughts that make me think in this thread. Prayers to all the one who lost their loved ones on this tragic day.
