During the winter, I lost the front undertray in an argument with a snow drift. My son and I went into Orangeville Nissan this afternoon to order a new one. First thing the young guy at the parts counter asked was "Did you happen to have a run with a Mustang the other day?" I laughed and said, "Yeah, that was me, do you know who the guy is?" He said "Yeah, he's one of our mechanics. He said you smoked him! He can't stop talking about it." Just then the mechanic comes out of the garage (he saw us walk in) and the parts guy introduced us. We chatted for a few minutes. He was totally shocked that the AC took him. The Stang is indeed a 2002 with a 4.6, and has a custom dual Magnaflow system and a CAI. I think he felt a bit better when I mentioned my AC had the intake, exhaust, and underdrive pulley but that faded when he found out it was a CVT being driven in manual mode. He went back to the garage shaking his head while the parts guy laughed. He followed us to the exit and said with a smile "Be careful of Mustangs out there - they're all gonna be looking for you now!"
My son and I drove away just howling!
ferg, good stuff dude.. that's hilarious... I can't wait for the bully dog tuner and racingline Y=pipe to come out.... should have nice results.... again, for the haters reading this... NOBODY IS SAYING THAT THE A/C WITH BOLT ONS WILL BEAT A COBRA .... we're just saying that with bolt ons and a tune, it'll be interesting to see what the CVT A/C can do...
sorry for the caps, but surely there are douches reading this that'll think we think our cars ar M3 killers, and clearly no one has stated anything ridiculous like that....
