enough said. its not gonna crack. most of u that are saying that probably have never messed with fiber hair or glass.
Actually i used to be a body work man. And if you actually read my post you will find out i said that the only way it will crack is if you crash or bottom out.

But i would have taken it down to metal and used the real thick fiberglass. And glass the top of that.

why the f*** do people with the worst taste always get the best platforms to start with? i mean that WAS one of last remaining 240's that had not been molested, and u come along and rape it for hours on end destroying one of the last great things left on this earth. Why couldn't it have been a civic

damn i cant think of one bodykit that looks even remotely good on the S13 other then the Jap Spec triple beams front end, but that's my opinion so keep keeping on and if you learn from this that's more important then anything else...

there's been much worse, like molding vader kits and such. this one should look decent after paint. I'm curious as to how the sideskirts look after paint.

personally i would have got a better looking kit, but its your dime ;)

i personally have a Version Select Type 1 widebody kit. my body guy molded everything, but the front bumper. he used the best products out there injected auto body spray foam into rear quarters to keep them solid. ive put 8-10k miles on my car a year for the last 3 yrs and no cracking. i do not trailer my car nor do i drift, but i do drive it hard especially on 95 and backroads...

ive recently cut off front fenders and got rid of fiberglass front bumper. i plan on DD this car this year so i wanted something more reliable. i bought new metal fenders and full 180sx front end from Nissan dealership. the only part of car molded is the rear now and she is still solid!

I'd go back to pic #1 and lower it, and up the suspension.

Nice amount of work put in tho. Like Greg said, you will learn about flexing when you drive it hard.

Wow I didn't even notice the orange one before.. That's super nice buddy.. The thing with not molding the front is really versitile, because when or if you wanna do motor swaps or any sort of front end repair you can take it off easily.. :ugeek:

lots of work trust me i know i had to use bondo-hair on mine too so i know how much time and effort into it...
word of advice though the left fender in the front needs to be sanded down a little bit more and maybe more bondo and then again sand it down some more so its straighter , its wavy and will definately show up in the paint....
and what one of the guys said about the glue for the pieces is true too ...if you prep it right it will have less of a chance of cracking

where you have the bondohair with the sideskirt it makes it easier if you went over it with bondo after you sand down the bondo hair a little...makes it easier to get it straight like you want it.

take a look at my post to see mine just so you dont think im just tlakin :)

Props to you for doing what you like with your own car. Lots of people forget that you build it like you want it. If everyone followed the trend then all the cars would be similar. I personally have never liked molded in bumpers and skirts but like I said its not mine. I do have to join the others in saying that it will crack. Its not a maybe its a definite. You can use panel adhesive on the kit which will greatly diminish movement of the kit but you will still get cracking. These cars are made to flex and will do so if driven at all. You also need to realize that fiberglass and metal expand and contract differently in heat and cold. If done properly, as in using the panel adhesive, it will last longer before it cracks but it will never prevent it. It just always seemed a waste to me to put nice paint on a car when you know the body work is going to fail over time. Not trying to hate on ya, just trying to inform you. Good luck with your build. Looking forward to seeing it with paint.

There was a sick a** s14 with an rb26 in modified i think. He had a molded kit and I'm sure people were talkin s*** on him but look at his car and then the peoples who were hatin. good luck man and I will be following this
