This may sound kinda dumb, but try taking a rag, put some windex on it, and clean the back of the nissan emblem on the grill and the front of the radar unit.
I bought a certified used 2018 and the radar quit working on the way home. That was 2 years ago. I took it back. They updated the software which stopped it from braking randomly. It decided to put on the brakes on a very busy exit on the NJ Turnpike, which scared the hell out of me. After the fix, the front radar showed it was not working most of the time. I took it back 3 or 4 times to two different dealerships. One told me that it had been in an accident, so it would not be covered under warranty, and the repair would cost over $2,000. It has been a nightmare. I'll never buy a car from a dealership again.
A few weeks ago I cleaned the back of the emblem and the front of the radar unit and the radar has been working ever since. The car has beeped when I've been to close to the car in front of me. Hopefully the braking is working too.
You would think the dealership would try and clean the unit. I checked the plastic rivets in the front grill and they have never been touched. The dealership probably just hooked up a scanner and rebooted the car and gave it back to me. It seems if they can't fix it with a scan tool they don't fix it. I bought an extended warranty. What a waste. They just look for ways to get out of the warranty and to get you to buy a new car. Think I'll buy a Honda next time.
