when you saying "dash opening" - are you talking about the opening the radio fits into - or the width of the actually bezel that surrounds the radio?doomlord_911 wrote:I checked with Nissan and they told me that the 2011 and 2012 models' dash opening is different. My dash opening is apprx 20cm * 10cm. The SL model in 2011 is 17.5cm * 10cm. Which is why I have extra space around my dash. No matter what kit I use I'm going to have those gaps, unless Metra or Scosche makes a kit specially for 2012 SV models. So in order for me to get a nice look I need to get a dash from 2011 model not a new dash kit from Metra or any other.

so the 2011 stock bezel was 1 piece, and its a double-din size is the same as that of your JVC?doomlord_911 wrote:I'm talking about the opening in the bezel that surrounds the face of the aftermarket stereo. I like the 2011 - 2012 model bezel where it's one piece. Your (ImStricken) method will work too but I don't like the two part dash. So I'm trying to get an OEM dash from Nissan for 2011 model. I don't have a center speaker, I know since I've already taken out my whole dash a couple of times.
I agree. That is completely ridiculous of Nissan to do something like that, but I'm 100% that the measurements are correct. At least on 2011 SL vs 2012 SV.Leo2005 wrote:That just doesn't make any sense. Why Nissan would change something like that only in 1 year of production? New type of radio was installed or what? I wonder if you can get some kind of trim for your 2012 model without spending money on new dash. Anyone here with 2011 model can someone measure your dash on radio just to confirm the measurements are correct?

2011 = 17.5cm x 10cm
2012 = 20cm x 10cm
ImStricken check your measurement photo. You have big red numbers saying 8 3/8" but the measuring tape clearly shows 8 7/8", which is the correct size (I just checked mine).doomlord_911 wrote:Yes. 17.5cm * 10cm will fit perfectly. I checked the size of the JVC face.
what are you talking about?? lmfaoRogue One wrote:ImStricken check your measurement photo. You have big red numbers saying 8 3/8" but the measuring tape clearly shows 8 7/8"

LOL thanks rogue one for catching that!Rogue One wrote:PHOTOSHOPPED!!!
Don't guys usually overestimate?
You're talking about the whole width of your dash, not the size of the opening. What is the width of the Bose Stereo. It cannot be 22.5cm.Rogue One wrote:ImStricken wrote:WOW

Doomlord, the width of your HU is 7.2" which is 18.3cm.
The opening on my 2011 Bose Premium system is 8 7/8" which is 22.5cm. Please note that I measured the same way ImStricken did, at the very top of the opening.

Where's that came from? That's what my father have right now in his versa. He used to have regular cd but wanted to play mp3 so I got this radio from 2011 sentra and it was a perfect fit (except 1 connector at the back which I have no idea what is it for). Sentra's premium audio is using Rockford so this radio is as I believe and Rogue's audio always had blaupunkt or bose.ImStricken wrote: and

Anyway my Bose HU measures 6 15/16" or 17.6cm wide. Not gonna quibble over 0.1cm.
Actually, my stock radio from Rogue is Panasonic.Leo2005 wrote:Where's that came from? That's what my father have right now in his versa. Haha..was that you? I wanted that so bad..well my OEM stereo and bezel are on ebay nowLeo2005 wrote:Haha. Looks like I was outbid for $2. Good job.
So, I have a 2012 Rogue SV with the exact same problem.Leo2005 wrote:Yeah well...i didn't know if i really wanted it because my scosche kit works ok but still not perfect and that's why i putted lowest bid as possible. Since you don't have bose system in your car you can try to remove bose logo with (acetone![]()
) goo-gone stuff - acetone will probably melt the plastic. Anyway...for anyone else if interested you can order this part for non-bose by typing 68260-1VK0A part number at any parts selling website for example from nico's sponsor: http://www.everythingnissan.com
First of all 2012 Rogues are not listed on everythingnissan.com yet. Also if you search for 2011 Rogue vin number (ebay, dealership, google etc.) and provide it while ordering they will make sure you get the right part. It is located under instrument panels section and it's #3. And when I search for 68260-1VK1A they keep telling me that part does not exist so that means at least they didn't update their website for '12 model.ztide wrote: So, I have a 2012 Rogue SV with the exact same problem.
I just ordered a <a href="http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... Categories" rel="nofollow" title="Link added by VigLink" class="vglnk"><span>GPS</span></a> (Clarion NX602) and the metra kit since i do need the side mounts.
But I now need to get the same 2011 rogue part and I'm stumped.
Searching for 68260-1VK0A tells me that all part sites are saying it was "superceded" by the 68260-1VK1A, which is what the 2012 version uses.
How can it replace a part if the part is not the same size?
What do I do now?
Thanks.
