ok.. yea yea whatever, on the 'come up' .. why do car companies always FAIL in the front looks..department. lol why didnt nissan put the plates spot on the bumper also!? lol i mean it looks nice, but thats only from the back n such, cause i hate the front. its like a child scribbled on it and handed it to the teacher.."ahhh thats,..um nice" the front is all over the place. and rwd.. i didnt like the g's interior @ the time. . so i never wanted a g. period. so i cant say nothing about the g's.. but altima competitor.. guess we cant say nothing about it also. o well. i dont wanna hear nothing in the streets bout my alt when someone has a gen. if its aimed at the 'others'... AFTERMARKET, GET ON YOUR ALTIMA GAME! coupe that is..and no1 copies no1.. just certain brands..lol cuz no imports gonna copy gm/ford. lol hahah.. jokes..

With the back and the sides of that coupe, the Genesis could have been legendary. However, they completely gaffed the front. It looks just like all the other cheap Hyundais. It is way too subdued and shoudl instead be aggressive to match the rest of the vehicle.

Hyundai has 2nd best warranty available in Canada after Mitsubishi5year /100 000km comprehensive

Luxury options for Genesis are way above Nissan's : chilled seats and self adjusting projectors being 2 that come to mind.

I've been to Canada, you must have never been to SOCAL at night.. it gets relatively nippy here at night for over half the year.... nippy is a relative term though, especially for folks that have to de-ice their cars to get them out of their parking spot

I have never been, Robert

It does get cold here in Calgary, especially when we don't have the Chinook winds that warm us up for days at a time

back on topic : this is the color combo that brought this coupe to my attention.

I get migraines when I stay too long in a car, my head get all hot so I always have to have the temperature colder than anyone else , chilled seats would be godsend.

seriously, this new hyundai is looking soooooo HOT! check out this new video of their "EPIC" commercial.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiV0BK2591I

damn RWD DRIFT ACTION! the v6 is their car is fail needs 3.8 L to get as much torque as our vq and more hp but at higher revs. but still the overall package looks soooooooooooooo appealing. damn!!

the front is supper meh but that will be easily fixed by the aftermarket since its launching WORLD WIDE.

check out them hot pics:

the interiro seats looks soo sporty and nice too, plus they have optional DUAL TONE RED!

The rims on yours look better, Mehdi

I wanted to buy the 290 HP sedan, but couldn't get the deposit money back from NISSAN. The V6 with Navi was 45000 all inclusive. The center console looks great (similar to this, no wood) and the menu navigation knob is so much fun to play with.

^^^+2 I've been thinkin that since I first saw that post. After this is out and shown to be reliable for maybe a year or a little more, I'll mos def think about trading my coupe for this... Just my 0.02

EDIT: Wait a sec, I jus noticed, what's up with the buttons on the door being like sideways... Jus looks awkward to me. And yeah, they really could've done better with the center console. Nonetheless, I'd still get it for the driving experience.

at first I was thinking razah was talking about the 4 cylinder one! our 3.5L V6 would definately smoke the 4banger on the Hyundai! but then again, that's not a fair comparison... their V4 would smoke ours, and their V6 would beat ours also.. so I guess I'm not sure why he posted that

The shape of the rear window is one of the styling "signatures" of any car. THe signature helps to establish the vehicle as something you recognize. If you notice - most of the Nissan cars - ex. The G/Z/AC have a similiar window profiles. BMWs have a certain signature styling element

Hyundai choose to get aggresive with it by dropping it. I think it is a nice touch.

JMO, but that rear side window looks like it has melted and sagged or something - it doesn't flow with the rest of the car at all. If it's a signature, then it's just as messy as mine.

I like it except for the window something is amiss there. I'm pretty sure we'll get walked by the V6.

PRESS RELEASE

Hyundai Debuts a HIGH–PERFOMANCE BLANK canvas for tuners: Genesis Coupe R-Spec

CHICAGO, Feb. 11, 2009 – When the colors of your new turbocharged rear-wheel-drive sport coupe are named after international racing circuits, you'd better have the performance and confidence to back it up. Now, Hyundai is upping the ante by announcing an R-Spec version of the all-new 2010 Genesis Coupe, designed to appeal to true enthusiasts who want a low starting price and the ability to tune their car to their own specifications. R-Spec will be available as a mid-2010 model year introduction.

R-Spec provides genuine track-readiness in an affordable model. The R-Spec adds core performance equipment to the most affordable 2.0T model, such as: Track-tuned suspension, 19-inch gunmetal-finish alloy wheels with performance summer tires, Brembo® braking system, Torsen limited-slip differential, and R-Spec badging. To further reduce cost and weight, it also eliminates some non-essential convenience equipment such as: Bluetooth®, automatic headlights, cruise control, trip computer, chrome interior accents and steering wheel audio controls. The Genesis Coupe R-Spec will be priced at $23,750 and $3,000 less than the 2.0T Track model, leaving tuners with extra cash for their own choice of aftermarket performance upgrades. Appropriately, the R-Spec will be available in three performance oriented exteriors colors: Karussell White, Bathurst Black and Tsukuba Red.

R-Spec equipment includes:

* 2.0-liter low-pressure turbocharged intercooled four-cylinder engine with dual continuously variable valve timing delivering 210-hp, an estimated 30 mpg EPA highway rating and a top speed of 137 mph * 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission * Electronic Stability Control with Traction control, ABS, Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and Brake Assist * 19-inch gunmetal-finish alloy wheels with staggered-width high-performance summer-compound Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires (225/40YR19 front, 245/40YR19 rear) * Brembo® braking system with 13.4-inch ventilated front rotors, 42mm four-piston fixed front calipers (red), 13.0-inch ventilated rear rotors, 32mm+28mm four-piston fixed rear calipers (red) * Track-tuned suspension (higher-rate coil springs, higher-control shock absorbers, 25mm front stabilizer bar, 22mm rear stabilizer bar, front strut brace) * Torsen-type limited-slip differential * R-Spec badging * Quick-ratio hydraulic steering (2.7 turns lock-to-lock) * Tire Pressure Monitoring System * Front, side, side air curtain air bags * Active front head restraints * Driver's lumbar support * Air conditioning * Remote keyless entry system * Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob * Power windows (one-touch up and down), door locks and mirrors * AM/FM/XM/MP3/CD audio system with six speakers * iPod/USB/Aux jack connectivity * Projector beam headlamps * Lightweight temporary spare with aluminum wheel (T135/80D18) * Note: Automatic transmission not available with R-Spec (f*** YEAH!)

There's a reason the site has a sensor for cursing... if you really want to be a moderator, perhaps you should start following the rules of the site and stop using profanity just because you've figured out one of the ways to "trick" the system! Very juvenile IMO!

"To further reduce cost and weight, it also eliminates some non-essential convenience equipment such as: Bluetooth®, automatic headlights, cruise control, trip computer, chrome interior accents and steering wheel audio controls"

Automatic headlight, cruise control, trip computer????? those should be strandard on EVERY vehicle. bluetooth, chome interior, and steering wheel audio controls are definately no necessary!

Other than that, the Genesi coupe is proving to be a very good deal for those willing to risk their money on this new experiment!

HOWEVER, i must say that due to their "cost cutting" techniques, this car is DEFINATELY not competing in the class of the G37, as someone mistakenly mentioned in in an earlier post!

My super arrogant friends at Hopkins and Harvard would reply.... "its not that I feel I'm superior, its just that you really are inferior."

You , my friend, stated that they should make you a moderator in the past, whether serious or done in jest. My reply is, stop circumventing a system that's in place that keeps the site PG, just because you've figured out how to trick the profanity sensor. you've done this a NUMBER of times in the past!

And if you ever decide o become a moderator, perhaps you'll then enjoy the PG-13 / R stuff that the mods enjoy! (you mods know what I'm talking about..lol)
