agreed... This car is gorgeous the front end stock might be a lil ehhh but our front end stock isnt that nice either. there are aftermarket products being produced fpr this car and it hasn't even touched US soil yet. I would trade my coupe for this because RWD stylish and affordable.. don't sh*it on it cuz its a hyundai... the 200 turbo (has 220hp)with a few bolt ons will eat our cars and the v6 comes 310 stock i think 320 with premium gas they say.... btw ive done some research and it is aimed after the G37(and its lighter) (u can also put it in the same category as a 370z s2000 etc i guess... GENESIS is suppose to be hyundai's luxury brand of car. BTW the Genesis sedan won the North American car of the year award. and gives the bmw 7 series a run for its money. u guys bash this car just like the G35 and G37 owners bash our cars just cuz its FWD.. and nissans credibility wasnt that good either back in the day.. hyundai has come a long way and i wouldn't be surprised if myself or a few other people in this forum get this car
ur right on a couple of points... sure its not a Japanese car...but at least its not a chevy cavalier..... yeah, yeah, i know, I'm just joking
but yes, you're right, back in the day, during the nissan/datsun merger, nissans weren't that hot.. but TODAY they are... I see some folks on here talking about the Genesis "smoking" our cars... WTF does that have to do with anything? Right now, every company is trying to one up the other company by adding a few more horsepower (nissan 270 vs honda's 268), or adding a new cool feature (push button start, intellikey)... but what matters is quality and quality control for a company!
NOONE here has purchased a "luxury" car from Hyundai, so one one can say that it will last even 5 years without having tons of problems. So slightly more horsepower aside, what you really want to ask yourself is if you are willing to buy the car in HOPES that it will last and perform as good as it looks....
If you'd be willing to give up a reliable car company for one that's "on the rise", I don't think there's anything wrong with that. As a matter of fact, we need a few guinea pigs out there to experiment with Hyundai and give them a chance... that's the only way we're gonna know whether or not the car is worth it or not!
