I went and got some base #'s on tires

and I know one company may be bigger or smaller than another company but this is just to have an idea:

OVERALL DIAMETER

front
235/35/20 = 26.47"
245/35/20 = 26.75"
diff is .28"

rear
275/30/20 = 26.49"
285/30/20 = 26.73"
diff is .24"

This just shows that my car will be .25" higher just because of my tire size. So if my goal would be 26.25" everything being equal it would be the same as someone at 26" running a 235/35- 275/30 set-up. Lots of other members are running even smaller tires on really low M's making the car look even lower.

For those that are looking to find your #'s start with this:

All tires should have the same psi

A full tank of gas

And be parked in an area that would be as even as possible (very hard to find)

And please keep in-mind that no car is even on all 4 corners.

I have nitto nt555 245/35/20 with 35psi. As for the lower engine cover I fully removed it since every time I hit the brakes it would scrape since it was warped/drooped close to the sway bar. Hitting a pothole at that speed isn't good even if you're not dropped lol. So are you saying if u go fast u can feel/hear it rub or just seeing the cuts in your tire brought your attention to it?

yes at first i heard it and then I saw the cuts. maybe I need to make the front springs stiffer. I want to keep the ride as soft as possible.

I hate to hear any rubbing at all even if it's just plastic.

I always wanted to try a lower psi but I'm scared of all the pot-holes. :ohno:

I was able to work on the car today. I cut off the metal lip in the center of both front fenders. I tried my best to adjust all 4 corners to 26.25" with a full tank of gas & 39psi in all tires.

I went for a quick test drive by myself and am very happy to say that I didn't rub at all but I ony went up to 100mph. Next test will be with the family.
mexillis wrote:Since you have co's what is your height from the center of the fender to the ground? Also can you measure how much clearance you have in the rear from the closest point of the tire to the inside fender if any? Just wondering how much space you have with the wheel specs you have now that your dropped lower than before. Thx in advance.
I have some #'s for you but keep in-mind that I won't be getting the alignment done untill some time next month.

Front:
20x8.5 et30 with 245/35
I have about 7/8" space between tire wall & inner fender. inner front fender has about 45 degree angle unlike the rears (flat panel).

Rear:
20x10 et42 with 285/30
I have a hair less than 1/2" space between tire wall & inner fender.

I'm sure that after an alignment is done these #'s will be less. IMO I think these #'s are safe for those that always have people in the car. If you get to close you may start rubbing on the tire walls.

yep Infiniti doesn't make the aero kit any more but you can get it thru Sarona but I thinks it's made of fiber-glass.

I may be going to Sarona next weekend, my friend wants to order a full spoiler kit for his Audi A6.

I'll ask to see if they have the M kit & the roof spoiler in-stock.

Sarona aero kit most likely will need to be ordered (about 1 week to make).

Sarona roof spoiler are always in & out of stock (1 day to make)

You should always call to see what is ready
