the front end isn't as bad as the concept... Actually it looks pretty nice now.

Now if they would just bring it to the US with the same name (and parts...)

The rear looks a lot like a ferrari. Front reminds me of the 350z.

A friend told me that they were bringing the skyline to america in the future, but i was skeptical. Is it true?

it will probably end up less extreme in production...probably loses the vents and the excess badges...probably just ends up w/ front and rear badges that are nissan, and a rear GT-R badge along w/ side markers...i donno about the blinker mirrors too...:-\

front end kinda looked like a pontiac vibe to me. with those super tall headlights. and back end is a 350z or a squished corvette butt

The tails on the R32 and R33 were the same size, one tail grew for the R34, while the other shrank slightly, I'm glad they kept that. The split grills up front remind me of Evo, but they don't look bad, its growing on me. I posted, a while back, a response to an email Nissan sent me regarding the GT-R coming to the US, I sent it knowing all the while they wouldn't say, "Hell yeah, you're the first one to know, being an all important teenage punk!" but I asked anyway, here it is: "Dear Winston:

Thank you for contacting Nissan North America, Inc. and allowing us theopportunity to be of assistance.

Nissan is not marketing the GT-R in the United States. Basically, thisvehicle needs a great deal of modifications to pass U.S. industryspecifications on safety and emission standards. While there is no doubtthat this vehicle do attract a lot of attention and command a high demand inthe market, as is apparent in the markets in other parts of the world, thecost of modifications far exceed the profit possibilities of introducing thesame vehicle here in the U.S.

Please contact your nearest Nissan dealer or contact a gray market retailernearest you. For additional information on the importation of gray marketvehicles, you can contact either the EPA or NHTSA:

EPA (202) 382-2504NHTSA (202) 366-9550

Nissan does not recommend importing gray market vehicles due to time andcost factors.

If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to email me.

Sincerely,

LianaNational Consumer Affairs"

That email was a while back, it seems that they've slowly changed their minds already showing it at auto shows as much as they do, and with the G35 already being here, I think its just a matter of time.

ugly as hell. i think nissan should use a different body style on the skyline. i get that nissan is trying to keep a certain image for their lineup of cars but the skyline should be sumthin different...like a sexier sportier 2 door version of the m45 or so.

Quote » think nissan should use a different body style on the skyline[/quote] well, the GT-R can't deviate too far from the styling of the plain Skyline (our Infinity G35)
