Some insiders leaked some super top secret spy shots of the R35 in stage 4 of development by Nissan. I believe it's so top secret *hush hush* the R35-GTR R&D team was relocated from the main island of Japan to a remote undisclosed island further south. My sources say that the specs on the new GTR are going to be unbelievable! Instead of inline six cylinder like the existing RB26DETT, the Nissan team has decided to go with a twin turbo V8 setup for better weight distribution. Some would guess it'll be a hybrid variation of the VG30DETT packing some serious boosting capabilities. All new sophisticated electronic fuel management will be added, rigid Le Man's inspired suspension and etc.. Also it is rumored that Nissan is going to utilize more carbon-fiber into it's chassis design and body paneling. Talk of price is still far too premature at this stage.

IMO, if its going to look like the G35/350Z, might as well forget it, if its gonna be a better performing car, why not set it apart from the other nissan cars. and that split grill thing...... not floating my boat. also, the skyline has had the same general styling for the past decade or so..... so why change a good thing? the concept pic nokumen posted looks sweet, and totally recognizable.
a V8 TT would be nuts (jap cars going V8? whats the world coming to), however, all i really need is an R34 GT-R N1, please, in blue

"Still spooling guys.. give me a min" And they need to quit making everything around the 350z.. i hate it when automotive makers try a new look.. and then its a hit.. and everything from then on looks like that.. Thats bullsh!t... The whole point of a Skyline is to look Aggressive but stylish.. and be a kickass fun to drive car.. Not.. Obviously not a dam thing. The Skyline has made a very large impact in the car industry this past decade with the R32,R33, and R34. It has that unique look where you can spot it anywhere out of a group of cars. why ruin that by making a 350/G35 look a like. If Nissan had the brains to create the Skyline. I would think that they could figure out that we already have the G/350 and we dont want another one. We want the Skyline. Just my $.02

GTR for the USA
Not really, blinky. The G35 is marketed as a skyline in Japan. The new GTR will most likely have a variation of the VK45DE normally aspirated, except in the rest of the world it will be a VQ35DETT. From talkin to a Nissan chassis engineer that we flew a few months ago. He said that the R35 is going to get a V6 for sure, with twin turbo's. He didn't know what the specs of the turbo's is going to be (like the rumors of electric assist turbo's or composite blades ect) He also said that the thing MIGHT have a some of the major structural components made out of "an exotic composite material".
He even said that all that's still subject to change, and that the thing is NOT going to look like that UGLY silver concept car (thank God). Also it's more than likely going to be sold in the US in some form or another (either Nissan or Infiniti).
