Oh and can you say...Headers???

The headers are simply prototypes, this is not how they're going to end up looking...They will look MUCH nicer than this. These are just for early mock-up and testing.

um i think the current header you guys got for the sentra SE-R spec-v fits...in fact i think there is a guy on my spec-v who just recently bought your header and put it on his 08 sentra se-r, which has the exact same engine as the 2.5 coupe.

WEll life isn't always perfect now is it ski. I couldn't because my parents felt it was the right car at the right time for me. In a while when I feel I'm ready to handle more power.. instead of tradingi n a relatively new car I can simply boost it.. ahve fun with it. Do what I've wanted to do for a while and move onto a new car with a v6. It's personal preference I'm not sure why it matters to u.

Unfortunately it does not fit...It will be different. The header that is in this picture is from our current 2.5. We were hoping it would bolt right up and it does...but the lower collector flange runs straight into a sump. We are going to have to redesign or relocate the collector flange.

The turbo would work since its the same engine. All the pipes wouldn't though. Glad to hear someone is working on this though. Does stillen have a date for production?

You get what you pay for. Ebay stuff is always a steal but wait till u put those stuff in your car. My buddy bought a new turbo from ebay after installed the turbo, i thought it was winter because the car was emitting white smoke. The turbo was bad and my buddy never got a refund. I have also had my share of trouble with stuff from ebay. so as i said you get what you paid for.

incase you guys were wondering the max hp you can put through a cvt from nissan is 345, anymore and the belt will slip on accel, so if you want big numbers i hope you did what i did and ordered up a 6spd.

Ya. The transmission might hold 345 hp but the internals for the engine will break. Are u gonna replace ur rods and pistons with forged stuff like we mentioned earlier? Because if that's ur plan then that's prob gonna get really really costly

You're right...Ebay stuff can be damaged. A blown turbo would definitely pour out white smoke.

Fortunately STILLEN has been in business for over 22 years. You will never see us on Ebay.

I'm a nissan master technician. I was at the chicago regional training center the other day so i asked one of the "higher ups."

and yes i'm going to put forged internals in mine, but i'm waiting for stillen to put that turbo kit on the market, then i'll tear down and start rebuilding. i can't wait!

How much boost and hp do you think you'll be able to do with forged?

Forged internals allow for more potential in power before having structural failure.. not that their presence adds horsepower directly..

So when there is talk of forced induction specifically, forged internals can take a lot more abuse, which would allow for turbo/supercharger systems that can run more boost (more horsepower), without destroying the engine.

The particular 2.5L used in the Altima, and other engines, is not the strongest motor out of the block, so anyone throwing large amounts of boost at them will most certainly have some issues quick..

^^What's josh@stillen said^^Forged and low compression pistons are a great deal. I used "titanium" camshafts and so far really good. As well micro the crank. But running low compression on no boost is the worst ride. I'm glad to see the 2.5 is now getting treatment. I just wish the market was more behine this motor with internals.

lower compression ratio gives u less power rite? becuase the air isn't being compressed as much as before and the combustion isn't as powerful. No?
