What is included in this buy?mig240sx wrote:Got it on the one and only EBay!!
Yeah dude, it's a common problem with jz's in S bodies. Especially on Hard Runs. You can see it climb very quickly. What I did to fix the problem was put electric fan in front and behind the radiator. Sort of a push and pull air system through the radiator. The one infront of the radiator ran constant. And the one behind ran on relay.sleepyS14 wrote:great project!! good luck with it!! big ups to my JZ brothers out there..!!
what kind of radiator you guys running? im running a modified KOYO for an SR20 but it still runs pretty hot. thank god it's winter. heat soaking like a ***** til mid october. but in any case.. yeah id love to know if you guys are encountering any cooling issues considering the florida heat and that ginormous speed snail you got there. keep us posted!! thanks!!
great, that would be very helpful!mig240sx wrote:I'll take some pics of the engine bay and put it up for some of you planning to do the swap.
yeah sadly enough i'm running two 12's pullers in the back and one 14 pusher in the front and still running hot. ridiculous reallie. im at a loss for what to do next. debating on vented hood for function over form. cusco diversion plate.. trying to source a TRD (colder) thermostat..maybe do a flush and start running dex-cool mix instead of the green stuff.. but that is definitely a good idea. i know for a fact that id kill the battery if i left all the fans on the thermostatic switch and linked it to the battery. maybe if i only did the front one... it wouldnt die out so fast. that and optima / oddyssey battery might help. but WINTER FTW hahadrewgo wrote:

Hope that helps.
Wait are you running your Temp sensor from Toyota Or Nissan...I use Nissan on mines becuase the Nissan cluster reads it wrong making cluster read hotter than it really is. You keep your toyota sensor to feed the ECU but you run a separate Nissan to feed your cluster. Other then that I can't think of anything else that could be the problem.sleepyS14 wrote:yeah sadly enough i'm running two 12's pullers in the back and one 14 pusher in the front and still running hot. ridiculous reallie. im at a loss for what to do next. debating on vented hood for function over form. cusco diversion plate.. trying to source a TRD (colder) thermostat..maybe do a flush and start running dex-cool mix instead of the green stuff.. but that is definitely a good idea. i know for a fact that id kill the battery if i left all the fans on the thermostatic switch and linked it to the battery. maybe if i only did the front one... it wouldnt die out so fast. that and optima / oddyssey battery might help. but WINTER FTW haha
