Hello,

I want to apologize right now, if there is already a thread about this, and I simply missed it. I am pleased with this forum, and the willingness and openness people have to a complete stranger about their car knowledge! Thank you to all.

My question is simple: I have a 1995 Q45, and I would like to mod it. The body kits I've found in the U.S. from Duraflex and Sonora, I'm not too pleased with. I did read the thread zerothread?id=207257 which talked about body kits for the G50, and there were some for the Q45 (a couple).

My question is this: will a body kit for the G50 work on the Q45? The body kit I want is the one on the above thread from Admiration - it is simply stunning. Before I try and translate the Japanese website, or look around at other places, I'd like to know if I'm going to be wasting my time.

I'm new to all of this, but I love my Infiniti, I live in Southern California, and I'd LOVE to have a car with pops out, and causes people to do double-takes and say, "WOW!"

Thank you much, and any advice would be much appreciative!

Ok,

I did find this website which lists a lot of Q45 body kits.

http://www.memoryfab.com/products/aero/car67

I'm looking for this specific body kit...

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3348927/3 (last picture).

I do realize he used a lot of parts from the Nissan President (grill, hood ornament, rear paneling, etc).

The chassis style for the 90-96 Q45 is G50.

You will have much more peaceofmindinyourcar if you concetrate on remedying the deferred maintenance by restoring the car to as new OEM specifications first before worrying about driveway appearances.

If you are more about ballin' looks rather than performance mods, do check out the VIP Sub-Forum, as they are very knowledgeable about styling and other VIP inspired ideas. High head-turning rate there as their cars look great in drive ways, parking lots, and even while on the road.

BTW, the proper name for a base model is Standard, and the main important thing it is lacking is the rear a model anti-sway bar.

If you are more about static looks rather than dynamic performance, do check out the Very Impaired Performance "styling" Forum as they know know everything about the many colors of liptick available for a pig and parking lot looks. High churn rate there as their cars deteriorate into permamnent drive way ornaments.

BTW, the proper name for a base model is Standard, and the main important thing it is lacking is the rear a model anti-sway bar.

I just have a quick question for you mate. How come everytime someone asks a question about styling, or stereo, or something along those lines, rather than actually help them you go on about restoring the car to as new OEM specifications?

Thank you very much for your help. I did find what I was looking for

http://sessions-power.com/aero...t.htm

That is the eventual outcome I am looking for - which is, in all essence, a Nissan President.

If I'm not mistaken, the frame is the same (G50), so, along with the body kit, I would need to purchase the lights, grill, hood, door guards, and side mirrors.

Any thoughts?

There's no real reliable source of President parts here. You can watch ebay and the like and may get lucky, but otherwise you're pretty much stuck finding someone in Japan who can source and ship the parts for you.

Because his life sucks and he is miserable so he tries to make everyone else's life just as terrible. He doesn't like anyone to be different from the norm and he believes every ones car is falling apart and needs maintenance 24/7.

Aimgain and Sessions make the best kits for the 94-96 Q45.

Don't forget fenders too.

Some Presidents are long wheel base and some are short wheel base like our Q45s.

There is someone here that did a President conversion. I don't remmeber his name, but that would be the person to talk to get some questions answered.

Here are a couple of threads to take a look at:

That is mista808's Q. When it comes to these mods, check out the link to the VIP Sub-Forum (linked in my sig and maxnix's first reply to this thread). The kits you want are extremely nice. If I'm not mistaken there's a great VIP specialist in CA called Auto Fashion. You should look to them for importing/purchasing these parts.
