Thought you G50 boys might like to see some close up interior pics of options offered on the President!

I'll be adding more pics as I go, but I thought I would share. I'm still translating some of the Japanese too

Finally got my JDM headlights delivered, from a company called Panda Garage in El Cajon, California. Probably the only set on this side of the water! Night and day difference in appearance, it finally looks how it should. However, not exactly what I wanted, I want the kouki headlights from the later models. They kept this body style from 1990-2002, and there were minor cosmetic changes. I have the Kouki grille, which is larger and more modern looking, but the kouki headlights were HID stock and just look newer and brighter. Cheapest set I've seen on Yahoo Japan were about 90,000 yen!

And here are some interior shots, very roomy back there :D Keep in mind, both front seats are all the way back! I'll be chopping out that old CRT TV and putting in a new LCD monitor and run it off the double DIN deck I'll be getting soon. Still sorting out suspension issues and waiting on parts...

You'll notice some interior bits are a bit roughed up...I'll be replacing those or cleaning them up in time...Headlights: BEFOREAFTER (most current pic)Interior: TV remote, rear climate control and air purifier control, reclinable rear seats, heated rear seats etc. And I installed my MOMO wheel from my GTR :D

Thanks for looking!

Sweet mother of Jesus that is one hell of a car, how do you keep the people away?

What are the buttons in the center console?

Looks like you need and USDM steering wheel and air bag.

But you are trying to make us jealous I see.

The thing I envy most about the Sovereign is the long wheelbase (along with the corresponding rear-seat goodies).

OMG,

Pinch me! Yes, the day my ship comes in is the day I 1) find one as minty as possible2) find the right shop to do spec to US emish 3) find the right shop to do the right-left conversion-- with unlimited funds this should be a no-brainer for those Cali custom shops.

Lets see:$15,000 about for car and shipping$4,000 transfer docs and emisions work and paperwork$15,000 right left conversion$8,000 maintenance stuff$4,000 wheels/tires

$46K sound about right.

What do you think?

Peter

left to right conversion probably wouldnt be that hard, youd just use a G50 dash and firewall and all the other stuff that goes along with it, and then customize the G50 dash a little bit..

I might leave it RHD though, its kinda cool..

Does it have the pass through on the passenger front seat for the rear passenger to "put their feet up"?

Interesting, but that steering wheel is so wrong.

Seems like I once saw a LHD later model President that was for sale in HK or somewhere else.

Haha thanks Paul! The centre console buttons are for pass. seat slide, pass. seat recline, rear seat heater (you can prep it for your special passenger in the rear), and TCS...dunno what that does cuz my TCS is on the fritz as you know...

I'm going against the grain with my plans for the car, but it's my unique ride, so I understand not everyone like the steering wheel. I love it though, the airbag one is pretty worn too so I don't miss it. The only thing is the Airbag light flashes, so I need to pull the dash and remove the bulb, and replace some others while I'm in there...

Rex, the front passenger seat is controllable with the rear centre console, you can't put your feet up, but you can sure stretch em out!

Peter, that sounds like a good plan, but pricey! But hey, if you were going to buy a similar car nowadays you would pay more than 46k. If you got the cash, do it! So far I can't find any other Prezzy owners out there on forums

I need a crew!

I've seen pics on Nissan's site of G50-era Presidents where the center of the passengers front seat would fold down creating a pass through for the rear seat passenegrs feat/legs. I'll have to search around for the pic.

I'd like to see that actually! Probably in the later models, they kept the body style till 2002. Still trying to collect unique pics of Presidents...

Haha I actually wouldn't mind being driven around in my car one day, just to enjoy the back seat

Nissan President Picture Threadhttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zer...age=1

Not a picture of the seat folded for leg space on a G50, but there is a picture showing how the headrest on the passenger side folds down.

Page 1 also has an F50 showing the fold down passenger seat option.

I wish it was a cubby space but it's not, it's just a divider that holds the TV higher up for the rear passenger. I am lacking cubby space up front though, I could use it.

Can't see your last pic Paul, can you repost?

Thanks for the link Raxephon!

I believe that is a cubby space, I would have been nice if they extended it like the 1994 Q45 but it looks like a hybrid version of the 90-93 and the 94-96 Q45.

You can see the back of it here:

I prefer just the vents with no T.V. like here:

Sorry pressed delete instead of post.

I think that's on the JS model...Hmm, the other President I test drove in town had something in between, a shorter centre console with a TV and vents. I think it was a custom job though, the TV was newer.

I'll try to find pics of it...

It's weird, it's actually a blank. It doesn't even push in. But i pulled it out and took a look at it; it's at least 2 inches long and looks like it has springs inside, but it won't push in. It even has a wiring harness attached...

But when I unplugged it and looked inside the switch, there were no copper connectors! Just plastic!!!

WTF??

But yes, I will be drilling it out to make a switch for the fogs...I would like to make them HID too.

Plenty of other things take priority though

I will for sure when I have the dash apart next. At some point I want to replace/pull some bulbs in the dash so I'll be taking it all apart, I'll take some then.

Right now priorities are:

Repair suspensionReseal power steering rackFix TCS problem (wheel sensor)Mount new wheelsInstall a stereo! (My iphone just isnt cutting it!)

Hey you said your President has Active suspension, but there is no switch to raise the car an inch at least from what I seen in the pictures.

There should be a knob somewhere that points to [N--H]. Unless the 100K dollar president never came with one.

Are the covers on the front seats original?

That's usually the kind of seat cover used on cooled or AC seats.

Hey thanks Haitian King! The fender flares came with the car, and to be honest it's almost what sold me on the car...I think they look AWESOME, and I've never seen them on another car. The flares, as well as the WHOLE body kit (Junction Produce) is the highest quality aftermarket kit I've ever seen. They are all OEM-like quality and fitment. Even up close it looks like it came from the factory!

Yes Paul, it came with Active, but I don't see that switch anywhere; though there is a dead aftermarket height conrol module under the drivers seat. I'll probably rip it out sometime and sell it, it doesn't work because there is no Active in it now!

The seat covers are aftermarket, the leather on the front is QUITE worn, deceiving for the mileage but in Japan mileage doesn't indicate much because of the short distances travelled. I have rear seat covers too in new condition never installed. I hope to reupholster the front seats this year Then I will sell the whole set, I'm sure someone would like them.
