no no no, when people say 86, they refer to the last two digits of the chassis codes. The Corolla changed in 88 and went to the AE101 (I think that was it) and became FWD even in GTS trim.
they're really nothing special, small I4 solid axle lightweight car. It just got a reputation because it became an odd car people liked to mess with, mainly due to the engine choice as the 4a-ge is a very revvy engine. It's 20V cousin even more so (can't remember the code...).
But yeah, an '87 GT-S is still RWD...
240 will own a GT-S if both are driven by competent drivers.
