Well, it's official.... they have no clue where my part is. I went in and talked to the supervisor, and she admits that it was scanned, and delivered.... but where is the problem....

They are looking into it, so I'll just wait and see.

Hi Juan, I sent you a email asking for the package description info, as requested from the post office, so they will know what their looking for.

Please get back to me soon as possible so I can pass that on to them. Hopefully the dumma$$es will find it.

Just wanted to let you know, I'm still in for one of these kits. I just decided it was best to wait until I got paid. I had e-mailed you with interest and never paid, so I was just giving you a heads up.

Also, I really appreciate you making these kits and selling them at a reasonable price, its a great service to the RB forum.

Thanks again-Max

ok...so here's what i had to do to install the alternator and kit. i still haven't fit the small spacer but here goes.

first of here are the parts you'll need for the swap

1991-1995 Quest alternator

spacer kit

Bolt Set part #11716-53JOA

here's a pic of the bolt set

first thing i had to do was try to fit the alternator without spacers at all. all of this was done on a rb25. had to grind a little of the housing down in the area marked in the pic

next was bolting it up. pretty simple, the rear spacer is about a 1/8 inch too thick. juan says he did this for different tolerances between blocks. i haven't done this part yet but i think i am going to actually grind the spacer down to fit so i'm not taking away from the structure of the mounting arm. i have suggested to juan that the rear spacer be machine thinner for ease of install. the front spacer is perfect and aligns the pulleys just right.

sorry for the blurry picture on this one but the the upper bracket is pretty self explanatory.

that's about it...it's really not hard to install and will prolly take someone who knows what they're doing about 30-45 minutes providing they don't have to grind anything for the rear spacer.

hey Robbie thanks for the pictures, I will see if any other customers have to grind off as much as you said (1/8") I will have my machine shop correct the cuts for the next run by 1/8" but if it was just you then i will have to do further development maybe shave off 1/16th. please let me know any updates on this from future installs, because this was the same dimension given on the other 2 installs i did and 1 required no grinding. another one just required about 1/32 if that i was able to do it with sandpaper. so definitely interested if seeing on someone else had to do it to change my measurements. Maybe cut them smaller and supply a washer in case they have the bigger tolerance.

it might be more like 1/16th of an inch, just haven't pulled out the calipers yet. i'll be messing with it tomorrow morning. the smaller spacer with a washer might the best answer

If you end up ordering a quantity of these bolt kits, I'd be happy to pay you extra, for your troubles.

Just let me know when, and how much....

From the factory. around 80A. I know my factory alternator was strong, but I want the extra amperage.
