any thughts on gettin rid of the fan on the motor for an electric one??i know the create drag wouldnt it help the motor spin a little easier??if you have any info on doing the change over let me know id like to do it..

a few of the guys here have done the electric fan... not 100% sure what i'm gonna do with the fan yet for mine though

do you know how the fan and clutch thing comes off and would i just wire the electric fan to come on with the ignition switch on??

you can wire the fan to do what you want... you can have it turn on when the thermostat gets to a certain temp... by switch in the cab... whatever reallythe old one comes off by unbolting it... if you take a look at it you'll prolly see the bolts pretty easy

I'm doing a fan delete with the engine swap. Will post the process when I'm done.

anyway... after changing classes... i no longer need to retain ANY of the stock pieces besides the subframe... so i'll be making a full custom suspension for it with some help from harbor freightthe engine build will be 13:1 compression, lots of headwork, valves etc... ITB's and some sweet FI

stuff to cut, weld and fabricate with... good times lol more specifically... a welder, a press, a band saw, a chop saw, a right angle grinder, a drill press, mini lathe... that sorta stuff

so.. i finally got some decent pics of the guy i have to keep up with in my autocross build... he took second nationally and he's local... his car is classed the same as my truckEFI dyno tune beastly engine repainted and ready for action

thats a pretty sweet ride!!i would have to say that our 720's are way cooler though!!lol have you ever ran with this guy and if so how much different were you times???what im gettin at is how much faster is it than your truck im sure it is that things a full blown dang race car but.....its cool to know how these trucks do agenst cars like that!!

well as of right now.... i got no chance in hell... he's already got his full custom suspension as well as full engine build done he makes 150 more hp and weighs 1700 lbs... and he's on 275 width hoosier A6's
the times depend on the track cause its always different.... but until i get my build on the suspension done as well as sticky tires like his... nowhere near the same times... the last event he was 6 seconds quicker... which is a lot considering i ran 44 seconds to his 38

oh yeah just by the pics you posted of the car you can see theres a whole hell of a lot goin on there!!!!iv had my truck for a while now and just recently stumbeld apon nicoclub and up until i did i had no idea anybody was racin a 720 and its cool!!!iv already started rippin stuff off and workin on the suspension got rid of alot of stuff under the hood with alot of help from you as well as a ton of other people on here!!i cant wait to see your truck stompen cars like that and i hope mines not far behind!!Lol are you drivin your truck daily or is it track only????

well... its technically track only... here in CO it can't get around much this time of year and without lights etc it can't get around much period... but with that said... it is my only car so i try to drive it at least once a week to get everything flowing and stuff and i do drive it to the track
