Im rather sure women getting plastered doesnt have a lot to do with twin turbo VHs,CanadianDrifter - what kind of sensors and vacuums are left on your motor and what ECM are you using for this setup as I see no MAFs?

Sorry for the slow respons, I have been working out of town. There will be 2 q45 MAF's going into an SAFCII and then into the stock ecu. FOR NOW!! to get it running and shake it down. When my funds build back up I will go stand alone. As for sensors: All stock sensors are still there except for the second ECU temp sensor and anlything to do with EGR or emisions. Vacuum : There are 2 ports on each intake plenum under the throttle bodies. Boost signal will come right off the compressor houseing. IACV will function as stock, air is taken before throttle body into the IACV and then into a "Y" that splits into each intake plenum. My wastegates should arrive Sat morn and I am going to try to start it after I put them on.

Well boys I started the beast last night and it fired first time. Was a little shack at first but one it burtn off all the flogging oil it got alot smoother. I have a few issues to work out but nothing major.1. my throttle bodies need to be synced better as a result i get high idle. 2. I have a exauhst manifold leak on the left bank 3. bleeding the cooling system ( mainly just the rad). I will work on something. Well here is a video for your pleasure. This thing revs fast.....like stupid fast and sounds awsome .....well you be the judge. I will have more vids soon.

That is really great work, where did you find the intake setup, or is fabed by you i like it. I am planning this swap for my s13, where did you find internals or are they all stock. If so what boost level are you up to. This looks so much cleaner than the stock intake setup and sits much lower i would imagine. Truly good work man.

Hey guys, sorry about the lack of posts, not too much has happened with the car. Difting is expensive and I have no sponsors so building a drift car while maintaining a drift car is hard to do. It is mainly the body work that has to be done now aswell as roll cage. I got the exhaust done, it is straight dual 3' no mufflers or cats. Give her a listen and let me know what you think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...edded Ghettoslide, I built the intake and exhaust mani's and the intake is much lower then stock. Not only can a close the hood but I can fit a regular 240 strut bar on.

omg this car rocks!!! How much you think you'd charge to have a set of those intakes made? I've got this swap in mind for my S14 but I in no way want to go with that **y as h*** stock intake. I'm with you about how your injectors get placed because of the way you made those collectors. Hey if you look around on the site there is some dude in New Zealand that makes performance cams for the vh.

If you read the thread you would see he is doing the work himself In the vid showing the car revving I think the tacho has been calibrated wrong, the engine shouldn't rev that fast without some serious changes to the rotating mass and probably some ITB's should it? Obviously turbo's have nothing to do with it as they wouldn't be making boost revving in neutral. Was the tacho set up for a V8?

Actually, turbos have everything to do with it, as they are ALWAYS boosting to some degree. Push more power through an engine, and of course it is going to rev quicker. It won't drop revs as quick if you don't lighten the rotating mass, but it'll rev to the moon in a heartbeat if you let it.

actually no, boost is positive pressure above atmospheric, with large turbo's it is possible and likely for them not to create boost revving out of gear as there is no load to help them spool. It just didn't sound like it was revving as high as the tacho said it was

i like forward to seeing this in its completionon a sidenote have you thought about making the two seperate intake manifolds into one "loaf" so that each side of the engine will have the same relative pressure applied to it since either side isnt identical to the other im sure it wouldnt be too hard to cut the tubes and weld sheet aluminum to it your welder obviously has the skill to do it (somebody correct me on this if my thinking is wrong with the shared intake manifold for both banks) also wouldnt it give each inlet more air to suck from since the one on the end would have the hardest time pulling air since the 3 in front of it are also pulling... blah bweeoooowwahhhhhhhhhhh and there he goes....

Just came across this thread, all I can say isAWE f***IGN SOME!!! Swapping a V8 in a S13 is one thing, but adding two turbos to it as well...WOW! Hope you have some nice fat rubber to go with it or you're gonna be spinning 5th on the highway :P
