Good choice on the turbos. That's what I'm planning on going with as well. What exhaust housing did you go with?

hey man it just occurred to me that you aren't using the stock exhaust headers... I desperately need a set of stock ones to cut and reweld for my S13... since I'm going supercharged I dont need turbo headers. my motor came with no exhaust manifolds, so if you still have your stockers and you are willing to part with them let me know. Its going to be real rough if I have try and get a set off a dead car in the junkyard... as I'm sure you all know they are real real hard to get to with the motor in the car.

slownslurious, would it be a help to you if I supplied you with drawing files of the flanges, so that you can modify to suit, for laser cutting ? I believe the VH41 & VH45 exhaust ports to be the same, just with different bolt hole locations.

I think I am gonna try to get some off a junkyard car... they just got two new Q's in my favorite junkyard so I think I'm going to offer to help them remove the motors (they pull the motors anyway) and get the exhaust headers and the wiring harness off of one.

Hey not bad man, looks like there's plenty of volume in there too with a venturi style taper down to the flange! I assume this manifold is pointing forwards ?

It is not really as close as it seems in that pic but it is close and the down pipe will be runing right in front of it aswell. There will be a bunch of aluminum shielding in this engine bay. There may even be some gold since it is the world best heat reflector.

Nice work. Where are you mounting the alternator or is there enough clearance for it in the oem location with shielding? Also, what about A/C Compressor & P/S Pump? ( Are you going to use them, & if so, how?)

The altinator will be located beside the crank pully on thew right banks side, you can see the gap where it will go. It will be shieled.I am not useing a/c as this will only be a weekend worrior and occasional daily driver. I will not be useing the stock power steering pump. Instead I will be useing an MR2 electric power steering pump that will be mounted in the trunk/hatch and will utilize stock 240 super hycas lines to get the fluid to the rack.

I tested the fitment of the short intake runners in the exact configuration you have them for my project. While it would allow the exact plenum setup that you have fabricated, I really did not like the injector placement. The injectors end up firing at a near 90* angle from the intake ports, whereas in the stock configuration they fire directly down the throat of the intake port at the back of the valves. No doubt your setup will work, but I dont exactly like the sacrifice in spray pattern. Anyway, great work on your project and I look forward to seeing it when it's done.

You can use the same runners and have the injectors on the inside but then your surge tanks will be on the out side and unless hood clearence is not an issue then you would not want to do that. I maybe sacrificeing torque and spray patern with this setup but I am not going for max power. This car is going to be a drift car. Aslong as the fans think its cool and it has enough power to smoke the liveing *it out of my tires then I am cool with the sacrifices. Also I will not have to modifie my hood at for this set up and I can keep my strut bar. The clutch master cylender that you see in the spot for the brake booter is actually what is going to be operating my remote brake system, I have a braket built that holds a slave cylender over the rod for the brake booster and it is operated by the clutch master which is now attached to the brake bedal. I have not tested the system yet but I am sure it will work, I will more then likely need to put an adjustable proportioning valve between the slave and the master but we will see. I will be useing Viper brakes on the front of this car. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I got my custom made drive shaft. I ordered it from The Drive Shaft Shop.. real nice guy and they were very fast with building and shiping it, I had it in less then a week after ordering it. And it fit perfectly. It cost me $534 CAD shipped. I will post pics later. Thanks for the coments guys I am glad you like it. More to come soon. Thanks Chris

Top work man, I'd be interested in learning more about your remote brake system, because I'm presently not getting enough brake pressure myself, and want to run some kind of remote system like you've described... reckon you could please pop me an e-mail with a rundown of the hydraulic circuit ? :D

If you just want to switch to a racing style master cyl with remote mount resevoir you may want to check out racer wholesale and pegasus auto they both carry them in stock, thats likely going to be my choice. Twin MC's w/balance bar for the win.

this i will be watching. religiously. and i actually might want to try this sort of swap on my S14, although i doubt i'd be able to pull it together.i might be going with a Vg30DETT swap. i love the way a V-form looks in the bay of a 240.
