As some of you know, there was this girl from my school, lets call her N.G., that I was seeing a little over a year ago on and off. She nagged, annoyed, and harassed me until I finally had enough. I'm not a very patient person, and relationships are the last thing I should be in right now.

Since the parking lot incident a while ago (where she confronted me for never calling and totally ignoring her) I gave in to her nagging and we hooked up a couple times. It was stupid, not only because she has obvious issues with self-esteem (combine that with her strict Catholic upbringing), but because we didn't always use protection. Alcohol or being sexually eager or whatever you call it got in the way -- I know there's no excuse.

She left me a voice mail last night telling me she felt sick, was late, and took a home test. She was certifiably pregnant. It felt like someone kicked me in the stomach and I could barely breathe.

I'm just over a year away from graduation and was eager to go to grad school and get my career moving. I had no intention of having a family for YEARS (if ever) until this hit me like a sack of bricks.

Now suddenly everything has changed. I have to live for others now, and the selfishness I was enjoying is now over.

Fortunately, she doesn't believe in abortion. I'd be devastated if a woman killed my child. I guess now I have to find full time work, because despite being well off, I know her parents and my parents will NOT be paying a dime for our mistake.

Everything seems surreal, like it isn't really happening. You normally laugh at the people who get themselves into these situations. Now I'm one of them.

So, will this kid be dark brown, black, or kinda chocolate-milk colored?

jfwy Jesda.

Well, if this ain't an April Fools, lemme throw out a CONGRATS! Being a Dad is a big job, but easily the most rewarding thing you will ever do, everything else pales in comparison.

Anything you need, just ask - I got lots of "fatherly advice".

Come on Jesda... is that the best you've got.

I thought #15,000 would have been a little more creative.

You could have at least waited 2 days to coincide with April 1st.

I'm sorry for you.

Really sounds like this is not the woman you want to have your baby, and that is not how it should be. Messing around without protection sucks. There have been nights I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about the possibilities.

Now she's on BCs :p

Good luck to you.

Congrats Jesda! Being a dad is awesome... you've got 9 months before you have a kid. You have a year of school left? If you are serious about raising this kid and providing for a family; an education is going to go along way! School should almost be out for the summer.. 5 or 6 weeks left. Take summer classes. And take as much as possible next semester. Don't drop out!! Take night classes and work in the days! It is going to be a crazy 9 months but it's an invaluable investment in your family's future.

For the rest of you slackers... remember these!

Cover your stump before you humpBefore you attack her, wrap your whackerDon't be silly, protect your willyWhen in doubt, shroud your spoutDon't be a loner, cover your bonerYou can't go wrong if you shield your dongIf you're not going to sack it, go home and whack itIf you think she's spunky, cover your monkeyIf you slip between her thighs, be sure to condomizeIt will be sweeter if you wrap your peterShe won't get sick if you wrap your d!ck you go into heat, package your meatWhile you're undressing venus, dress up your penisWhen you take off her pants and blouse, slip up your trouser mouseEspecially in December, gift wrap your memberNever, never deck her with an unwrapped peckerDon't be a fool, vulcanize your toolThe right selection will protect your erectionWrap it in foil before checking her oilA crank with armor will never harm herNo glove, no love!

God I hate condoms... so I got my wife spaded after our kid! lol

political/ethics aside, if you don't like this person, you might not be content in the long run.

unexpecting parents often use their unborn child as an excuse, an excuse to marry, excuse to settle down, excuse to settle for less, get paid for less, cast aside their dreams... yet they are the one who suffer for years to come, if a divorce occurs, guess who suffers the most?

I came from a divorced family, I am going to be 25 soon and still no strong relation with either one of my parents. I hope your child won't wind up like me.

If this is not an early April's Fools joke, then I am glad you are taking the stand you are. Jesda, my congratulations for your maturity in this regard.

First and foremost, please also make sure the child is indeed yours. If so, it good that you are being responsible and please make the relationship work in the long run. Never let it be that "we got married for the wrong reasons, so we need to break up".

This is critical and important for the child's sake! Loveless has said it all from that perspective.

Wow, well, um.. uh. Yea... well hmm.

Not sure if a congratulations is in order or an I'm sorry. This feels like one of those awkward moments. Either way it goes I am sure it will work out. This is so far fetched that I doubt its a joke, but since it's Jesda you never know. That's one hellova 15,000 post. Well worthy of the 15,000 post title.

I can't even imagine what is possibly going through your head right now. I commend you on taking responsibility and doing the right thing... getting a paternity test j/k Seriously though, something has to be said about standing up for your actions. Best of luck.

When I saw the thread title, I figured you were gonna say yes to PMQ dating your sister. If this is a practical joke in honor of your 15K post, not funny. But if it is true. I'm not sure congradulations are in order. But Im gratified to see you stepping up to the plate as far as accepting your share of responsibility for the situation.

You life is about to change drastically, my friend. Not necessarily in a bad way. Don't write off parental help yet. I'm sure once the shock wears off, they will help you, as this will be their grandchild. They may not back the Brink's truck up to your door to finance you, but I'm willing to bet they'll help you in other more important ways.
