Dont buy a clutch if the description mentions horsepower.

Normally when you see things like this:
ebay wrote:This Clutch Kit has a STAGE 1 RACING CLUTCH KIT with a heavy duty Pressure Plate/ EXEDY ORGANIC FICTION CLUTCH DISC, COMPLETE WITH BEARING AND ALIGNMENT TOOL and THIS CLUTCH KIT will hold stock Horsepower to around 225 Horsepower to the wheels.

You are getting set to get burned.

Buy it now, $98.00 and FREE SHIPPING must be a steal!

Clutches are rated by torque. I wouldn't buy a clutch off ebay. Exedy is good stuff you are looking for a replacement. I would go though a reputable shop and not ebay next time. Also did you have your flywheel resurfaced before you installed the clutch.

Only clutches worth buying at Ebay prices is the Exedy OEM one. Although sometimes ACT's pop up here and there.

Did you replace the TO bearing when you did the clutch? Did you surface the FW? Did you replace the Slave Cyl? These are all normal parts of doing a clutch job, and I would bet on the cyl not completely releasing, and damaging the disc. Oh, and XTD clutches are made by Exedy. At least that is what I read on here. Supposed to be stamped right on them. I will get one when the time comes.

Why don't you just get an OEM exedy clutch? I had one in my last car and it was good for the short time I had it. If I were you I would just get an OEM one, there is no need for you to get a fancy clutch your only makinf like 20hp MAX over stock. Oh and make sure to resurface your flywheel when you do decide to replace your clutch

For rizzi, why not just get a Z clutch for that little bit of a difference. I think they were 97 at Advance and they bite with another 60lbs of clamping force. The downside is getting to change them more often.

So we have a second for slave. Generally, they are replaced with a clutch job anyway.

ebay can be a good source for some stuff, but when it comes to stuff THAT critical to a car being drivable, thats where id definately draw the line and buy from a real vendor

you should just check into some local shops and see what prices you get before making another mistake on ebay. just a suggestion.

Thats going to be some harsh enguagement. You should look into a sprung hub.

A lot of the engagement will come from fighting the diaphragm itself. In terms of a performance clutch, you should think of a matched set. If you already had the ACT then you probably would be good. Assuming the XTD was actually an upgraded pressure plate, then you would probably be good there too. But definately replace the slave this time. And look, it will give you a chance to change that fluid (which is probably sh*t brown at this point), no one ever thinks to do it, but it is just a good idea. Good luck!

Sounds like it was installed wrong, or one of the parts misaligned upon installation.
