Hey guys -

We could use some prayers here for the NICO household.

NICOmom had been feeling a little "under the weather" for about 3 weeks. She was having some cramps and pain that she thought was related to some "female" problems.

A scan and ultrasound revealed a couple things, which led to further tests.

We went in this morning for some outpatient testing, and upon completion they immediately admitted her to the hospital.

She has been diagnosed with colon cancer, with several significant tumors, and the cancer appears to have invaded her liver as well.

She will be having several emergency surgeries tomorrow, and will be hospitalized for approximately a week.

An aggressive regimen of chemotherapy will begin in about 3 weeks, once she regains her strength.

As you can image, we're both pretty devastated, and it's hard to "think business" when this is staring in your face. I'll be in and out of touch over the next several days, so if you guys could hold the fort down, it'd be appreciated.

You guys are our family, so whether you prefer to pray, think "good thoughts", send "positive energy", or meditate on topics of concern, please do so.

We will beat this. I'm expecting nothing less than a miracle.

Stacey sends her love. Be safe out there.

My mom had a couple of pre-tumors. Luckily they were all found in her check-ups, and dealth with accordingly.

I will keep your wife in my prayers for as long as I can remember to pray for her.

Then that's exactly what you'll get. I've always been a huge beleiver in the power of the mind over the body. Keep your spirits up and keep that attitude and you'll get through this just fine.

Thanks all - your support means a lot to me and Stacey.

I will be pretty busy tomorrow at the hospital and playing "Mr. Mom", but I'll try to post an update as we know more.

I really need to go to bed and rest, but I just don't want to...

Thanks again guys - Please keep praying.
