hey Greg,

this is very sad news indeed, and I'm sorry that you, your kids, and expecially your wife have to go through this. Just please keep her happy! I'm a firm believer that a positive state-of-mind is just as crucial to recovery as medication and surgery. All she probably needs is you and your children by her side and she'll be fine.

Dont worry Greg. We will hold down the fort while you two are gone. Just remember that you have 27,000+ people behind you!

I will keep you both in my thoughts and i'll pray for the first time in a long time. I think it's worth it.

Now tell her to get better!

Hell... I'll do it if you guys like the idea. Just post a small pic of your signature (as if signing a card). You can write in a little message too. Then, I'll paste them all together and make it available to download for Greg.

GREG,

You know all my love goes to you and stacey. My prayers as well as the prayers of my church family are with you.

I've been going thru the same thing for the last couple of years now with my mom. She has had cervical cancer twice in 3 years, and altho its gone now, it was after the first time before it came back. So it could come back again....

Just remember, thru God, all things are possible. It says int he Bible, If you pray - not in doubt, but in faith that God will answer it, he will answer it.

25 years ago, My wife had upper colon cancer that had spread to small intestin, stomach, bladder. Docs opened her up stem to stern, laid everything out on the table (remember Bravehart scene with Mel Gibson?), cut off what they could, said 4-8 months maybe. She found Dr who used agressive chemo. That's 25 years ago and completely free. The Docs at Baylor did a hi res full body CAT and MRI 4 years ago--looking and found nothing.

Woah.....

Im going to send all the energy I have your way. Im sorry to hear that this had to happen, but keep your chin up. If she's strong enough to deal with you, she will make it just fine.

Check out Reiki.... I practice it and it does help. You might want to read a quick book while you are Waiting around or something.

Email me your info so I can send something your way.

And dont get depressed or blame yourself. Your wife needs you to be strong, and we are ALL here for you.

Greg, I love you, man. I will pray for Stacey, you, and the family. Nothing is too hard for God. Remember, find your strength in him, and he will give you peace.

2 Praise the LORD , O my soul,

and forget not all his benefits-

3 who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases

I'm very sorry to hear about nicomom. I hope for the best for her and I agree that if she has put up with you and your leg humpers at nationals, she'll pull through this no problem.

UPDATE: Spoke with Greg at 5:30PM CST.

The Good News:The doctors were able to surgically remove the tumors in her colon, though they had to remove a lot of the colon to do it. But the tumors were removed.

The Bad News:The oncologist said that the cancer has spread to her liver. From what he tells Greg, it is pretty entrenched in the liver. In about 3-4 weeks, Stacey will begin chemotheraphy to fight off the cancer.

We will update you as we know more. Please pray for Stacey, Greg and their family. This is going to be a long journey and they're going to need us now more than ever. Never underestimate the power of prayer.

Nick
