My friend drove my hatch for the first time, totaled it, then basically emptied his bank account to help me buy/build a replacement. I appreciate his manning up to it and doing what he could, but this has left me with a lot of financial responsibility and labor to do. Fast forward to present day. Parts are in the mail, and will be outlined as per the build specs. I learned a lot of lessons thru all this and the biggest one is spend money once, and correctly. No cheap coilovers *cough ksport sucks horribly cough*, no knicknacky stuff, no crush bent exhaust, etc. Live and learn. This build will have quality parts, and believe me, my wallet is curled up in the corner crying, but I will be fully satisfied with the outcome.
OMG OMG OMG, lets see the totaled hatchback... which btw, was 100% rustfree... its sad. i only have pics of after i stripped it, but pics of the carnage will be up soon, i promise.
RIP Hatch... notice the rear taillight area and its new angle
Enter the coupe shell. Purchased for $150 off a friend, within an hour of the hatch's death. Rust was rare, but horrific where it was. $350 at a body shop with an owner who was glad to see a 240 resurrected (nostalgic of his old s13) and the rust was cut out, new plates welded in, etc.
Here is the rust in the framerails:

Holes straight through the rails... boo... and now the floorpan:

and here is what $150 gets you...

Lots of work to go... so we started spraying her satin black, hate on it if you like, but this build is based on performance, not a show queen by ANY means. This chassis is being prepped for a CA18DET next year-ish. Enough of that now, parts list later.
Pics of satin black:

Not too shabby for a spraypaint paintjob... again, far from pretty, but it's one color... and rustfree... a rarity in the S chassis world.
And a teaser of the new wheels just mocked up to the car...

Alright, now you pic fiends have to read again. I know, wah. Here is the overall goal of the car at this point, basically what I have two weeks to get done cus my current daily needs rebuilt and I need to drive an S chassis... I'm going through withdrawl.
Build List:
Sportmax 501's in Red (tires will be 205/50/16)
Powered By Max Coilovers and RUCAS
ARP 12x1.5 Wheel studs/Gorilla Spline drives on all corners
Infiniti Q45 front brakes
SPL Parts Stainless, Teflon coated brake softlines w/ Speedbleeders
SPL Parts Stainless, Teflon coated clutch softline w/ Speedbleeder
Tomei 2-way LSD
Pioneer 6900UB Headunit
MTX 3404 4ch amp
Kicker wiring
Eclipse 6.5" 2 way components (F)
Kicker 6.5" 2 way coaxial (R)
Optima redtop with holddown tray
KnuKonceptz battery terminals
Trust white shift knob
Bomex sideskirts
Exedy OEM clutch for the KA (heavier clutch will go in with the CA later)
AWorks Catback/testpipe in 3"
Buddyclub Spec Bucket seat for driver w/ rails
Gforce harness for driver
91 Pulsar seatbelts for daily-ing
RedlineGoods boot set (black with red stictching)
Interior from my hatchback
Smoked lenses all around
Silvania Silverstar Headlamps
Hella projector 1182 fogs in all-weather yellow
Pignose front bumper with lip
35% tint on all but windshield
For now, she will get the 100k mile KA/5spd from my hatch, til next year with the boosted 1.8ltr
That all has to be done by the 30th... wish me luck, and i guarantee i forgot some things, but i will update when i remember
Im open to all feedback, just keep in mind, that it is my car, built to my specs and preferences, so avoid personal attacks, but critique away!

| Why go CA? No replacement for displacement. |
here's why:
1.8 liter RB
REV HAPPY
SR S15 BB turbo bolts on
I plan to do a full forged rebuild
i want 250-300 totally reliable, daily driven, rev happy HP. the ca is also rare and the head is built properly (IMO). I like the rare stuff, and I hate dyno queens. I want responsiveness and large powerband, not large power. And the motor itself is more cost effective, however the forged goodies will cost a good bit, but ive fallen in love with the motor.
basically i want/need a bombproof boosted motor. forged internals, s15 bb turbo, and supporting mods will put me in the range of power i want, in the budget i have, the responsiveness i crave, and the rarity factor is there. i want something unique and badass. IMO, this is my route.
thanks for asking

I just noticed that's actually me spraying the engine bay in those top pics lol.
It makes me sad to see the hatch like that 1 more time
It was a REALLY good frame
It was a really tough first day of work. like 13 hours with a 30min sheetz break. I got a cold from it, but I'm comin back to help ya man. I still owe you cuz of the crazy hours you've helped me w/ my SR swap. we've been up til 5am what 3 or 4 times in december?
Looking awesome, I love the parts list. You're finding some really good deals IE the lsd! I still think the paint is sex, the direction the coupe is going is a good one.
I'm still game for another 12 hour day on saturday. Let's git 'er done! BTW the guys on Pa-Nissans are looking to add lancaster meets!

i have a LARGE network of people in the nissan world and i get some pretty sick deals on things.
WC, i dont need the diff, but ill see what dante will pay ya for it. unless you wanna pay for my tomei (EL OH EL, hell no, its mine). I have some 5spds coming my way soon, so ill pass one on if i get one... and btw, you still owe me for that permacool, the bank of Keegan is coming to collect

Once again, greeneyes is a pro at wiring. I shoveled snow and did random finishing touches stuff to the SR while he installed the battery cables and freakin wired up the fan to come on when the sensor gets hot, even if the car's off it'll still run until it's cool I like that piece of mind
. I cannot thank u enough man, so I offer my services (of automobile related services).
He also did the SAFC2 wiring. I will hopefully start er up 2morrow if I don't get yelled at too much for buying all these SR parts.

haha, tom, she will be loud outside due to exhaust, and loud inside due to stereo treats, but i dont want the two to mix. and its good thermal insulation too. and with suspension, 2way diff, etc, there will be a lot of roadnoise to kill.

My color of choice:
My snack of choice:
My sleep reducer:
My brand of choice:
My heater:
And finally, my garage space of choice (yes there is an R33 bumper there):
Ok, I also want to thank all my friends who come out to help me countless late nights getting this thing roadworthy, especially Didderson.
"Boo, less reading, i want to see the car" - NICO.
Shut up NICO, here's your pics.
Here is why you dont use a crappy six puck (even if it was free, as was my case)... it will leave 1/8" grooves in your pressure plate/flywheel. weak pressure plate let the thing slip a lot, and just wore the thing down. The following pic demonstrates thoroughly, my thoughts on this setup:

So i got myself a nice oem exedy/daikin piece. no pics of that yet, cus my motor is in a dark corner of the garage and my cam phone hates dark shadowy areas.
Here is my armrest area, 1 USB port for my radio to read my jumpdrive, and 2 12v outlets for cell charger/gps charger (and cus when i shift, my arm would bump into anything plugged into the factory outlet)

Oh, and here is why you don't buy Ksport coils... cus after less than 4 months, they will pop, leaving you with this:

so uh, dont make the same mistake i did... just do it right the first time!
More pics on the way.

More pics of them later, once i mount them up on the bumper support.
Mounted/fitted the sideskirts today. Couple pics:

I like them a LOT. they are fiberglass... of which im not a fan, but for the price i paid, i cannot complain.
Oh, and i rolled my fenders...

LOL at the superflat roll... function at its finest...
And the pig bumper and lip were painted/fitted too:

It was just me at the shop today, so this is all i got done from 7PM-12PM... not too bad.
Probably wont be able to work on it again a lot until this weekend. Work sucks... ill have to take a few days off soon so i can finish this thing.
Still to order, as soon as they are in stock:
PBM Coils
PBM Rucas
ARP studs for the front hubs
And my tomei comes in tomorrow, so i am taking it and my s13 open diff to Landis Transmission (great shop that i have had work done at previously) to have the diff shimmed/gear mesh set/ etc. I figure its best to leave it to the pros. considering its a $1k diff...
I will soon hang my Q45 brakes and SPL lines. Motor and trans will go in asap, couldnt do it today cus its a LOT easier with 2+ people and no z32 sitting in your way (refer to pic). I didnt get nearly as far as i wanted to this week, but I am very worn out right now from work/working on this car/ working on friends cars... so as soon as i get some rest and some treats in the mail, ill be more motivated and finish this thing with a fury

but the props are much appreciated and are what keep me motivated to finish this cursed thing... it is a LOT more work to build, than it is to tear apart. but im close to done now, just waiting on suspension, diff, wheelstuds, tires... all the footwork really. oh and exhaust... and custom intake piping. the body is 80% done. just need to paint doors, driverside sideskirt, second coat on trunk and roof, and the hood (which will be done very differently)
keep the comments/critiques/etc coming!

but i did get the motor and trans in, and started to put my wheel studs in. the studs were ridiculously easy to do, i was pleasantly surprised. just hammer the current ones with one good swing of a 5lb hammer, and they pop right out. mad easy. so i have some pics to follow this text of the studs, and a comparison to the child-like status of the stockers. stock looks SO puny compared to the oversized studs, of 20mm more than oem. and you can peep my cool new sticker... because MY TOMEI DIFF CAME IN THE MAIL. i was quite the happy camper today.

i bought that shell for $150 with a crappy blue interior in it, manual everything, base model. i transferred my entire hatchback harness into it, with the exception of the taillight areas, they are spliced with the coupe. my hatchback interior is going in this car, using as much of it as possible. i dont have the time, motivation, and extra cash to track down a full black coupe interior, but i do plan to have a full interior in the future. IMO, coupes look cleaner that way, hatches i like stripped.

oh, WC, text me or something, we have business to discuss about a welded diff i dont need, a flexalite OG status fan, speakers, etc. maybe some S13 parts can be bartered, etc? since i have my tomei, i dont need the welded diff, which was to trade for the fan. so maybe you have some other treat that i would like in trade for a fan? and also, when would you like to pick up your speakers? lets talk homie, and you gotta come chill with tom and myself sometime soon, perhaps in hershey?

| The center aluminum 'bullet' fixture is crazy nice. It even has rough machine marks on it which help shoot out crisper sound waves.
|
not totally true, the woofer design is shaped that way to provide clarity and a physical structure to the cone/basket assembly. also, a lighter, stiffer cone delivers crisper sound, as it is able to respond quicker. less cone material=less intertia.
oh boy, its bedtime
and these speakers are amazing

| Awesome looking build so far. Mad props for keeping the pignose! I love the hood, too! I'm willing to start a camera fund for you, though, hahaha. Keep us updated. I look forward to it being done. |
haha, the ROUGH build tally (aka the lowball) is at $5050 NOT INCLUDING THE STUFF FROM MY HATCHBACK... so NO camera for me... ill get niiiice shots when its all done... but for the build, its not that important as long as you get the idea of whats going on, right?

I really want to have mine on my car before it rolls outta the shop. so if the wait is 1.5 months what does that mean. i wonder if i i can call and have them mark me a pair and when they come in i can order them. or in 1.5 months they will have them completely in stock? |
as in, the shop in cali wont have any instock for 1.5 months. you cannot order for that time period. im airshipping from japan to my house. costs a good bit more, but i WANT them... so ill pay for em. they even sold their display models off their freakin showroom floor... to the guy who ordered right before i tried to place mine... i was ONE PERSON AWAY....

there is no update. i couldnt get a ride up to work on my car, nor could i get a ride to the bank to deposit my cash so i could order coils. pretty sucky day actually. i will be bringing the car home sometime in the next week or two, to cut down on travel costs and to make this all easier and more accessible. i wont have the storage capacity that i have up there... but the car is close to assembled, so its not really that much of an issue anymore.
WC, i look forward to some assistance with this, as many people have flaked or just have too busy of schedules...
And to clarify for everyone, i had a 93 ranger for a daily up until last week, when the ford decided that its headgasket was optional... and that it didnt need it anymore... coolant in the oilcap FTL. so needless to say, im a total dependent for transport to my car, and even to my work at this point. it really sucks...
well tomorrow ill be depositing my money into my account so my order for PBM coils/rucas will be placed, and i will be getting tires hopefully later this week. also, i need to order diff shims for my tomei... shims from the nissan dealer... at $16/pair... but to stick with this build's premise... no cost is spared... ill pay for quality parts...

. I don't live in lanc city either lol, just kinda the outskirts in Leola. If i did any fun driving it was on parts runs cuz iv been halpin this guy the whole weekend and I should be doing some homework right now cuz i haven't touched it lol...The frame isn't that bad man! It's just rusted sort of bad where the muffler used to be the rest is slight surface starting rust on random parts underneath the trunk. Eassy fix man, and don't beat it too bad. I want that shell someday if you're gonna dump it
Taking out old rusty brake hardlines is probably the toughest thing i've done to a car to date. Today my arms still hurt from the lack of blood they got lol. Stupid weak *** 10mil bolts on those rusted things grrrrr. O well I got them all out hehe
. We're replacing the hardlines. Oh don't forget I need to bring the hardline pipe flange maker and Al sheeting for u next time im up.
I hope the tires come in soon. I want to see this thing on the ground w/ em... Well ok I hope the PBM's come then too because I don't want to see it at stock height!
Oh yeah dude and those stainless lines look delicious like a gummy shark! I have some plans for my car in teh springggg.

there is SO much work to do yet, it is def overwhelming. props to anyone who has built a car from the ground up... it is such a stressful, exhausting process. Tom, two other friends, and I were up til 7AM this morning, pulling an all nighter... and it still feels like we are just treading water at this point, even tho progress is def being made, it feels like its going so slowly. to keep myself focused, i had to just chill out, sit in my buddybclub seat, put my hands on the wheel and shifter and just think to myself that in a few weeks, this thing will live. its small stuff like that that keeps me going. i am so completely exhausted that i am barely typing right now. i will try to upload pics asap tho, as this thread needs some.
by the way, ANYONE who wants to help and lives in the area, talk to Didderson or myself, and we will arrange something. i can use SO much help right now...

It really does feel like we're going slow, but we're very meticulous about the work and doing the job right and CLEAN and slow definitely is worth it in the end because you don't have to revisit a mod or fix what you didn't do.
We should throw a bolt and nut through the front seat bracket holes for the front seat just so u can run one because I'm going to want a rideee!
I'm surprised I never added this pic to the thread. Remember man, she came from nothing but a milk carton seat and some window glass. It's been a hell of a journey and we're not done lol. Good job so far.
I think you'll post a pic of this but here's mine. Q rotors and calipers mocked up fit like cake with icing.

relayed the headlamps, both high and low beam. i mounted all the body panels, skirts, lip, etc... exterior is done, save the tails and front bumper lights... which will be NIIIICE... pics when they arrive
interior is 95% done... need to make a rear deck still. sound deadening has been added copiously and all audio wiring is run. i finished all the underhood work except for the battery's connection to the fuse block area. after much debate and brainstorming, i settled on ordering a breaker for up there and just using ring terminals for ease of installation and cleanliness. the relays i added are tucked behind the headlight housings, off to the sides, under the fender's upper lip. pics later on that.
test fitted fuse/relay box in its new home. need to find a lower cover/bracket for that, then bolt it down. will fit GREAT right beside new intake position. the battery tray arrived, along with my exhaust... both look really really nice. im pleased. also, suspension should be here friday, and installed that night. bunch of local dudes coming over to chill/work. saturday night i will be running all new brake hardlines as well as new fuel feed and return lines because the factory ones are dangerously corroded. fuel pump wiring will be fixed, possibly a new pump installed and relayed/hotwired to battery.
a lot to do yet, but im on the home stretch. feels good to see the car nearly cosmetically whole... it reminds me that it is a CAR... not just a heap of headache inducing metal... and will be roadworthy in a few weeks.
sorry for all the words, but my phone is dead, so no pics as of now. more tomorrow? you bet.

how long does it take to take out te whole subframe?if you're just counting taking it out, a few hours. maybe 2 if u have a guy who knows his way around a 240 well.
Later that night we got the subframe installed! Just me and mrgreeneyes, it's a tough 2 man job but with a jack and 2 blocks of wood it can be done. Even installing bushing collars and the coils was pretty simple.
Then we mocked up the wheel which needs tires so that'll happen soon before it comes off the stands. Let me tell u, the fresh subframe installed looks so HOT

no update pics or anything cus i felt like crap yesterday, my whole body ached from a full day of junkyarding sunday. i did however, finish building the car. spent a good hour bleeding the damned brakes, checking for leaks, etc only to find out that under full brake pressure, the mc's main rear seal blew out, dumping brake fluid (aka paint stripper) all down my camo booster and my framerail, annihilating the paint. yay. just effin yay.
so a new mc will be ordered. what a damn headache. only things left to do are fill it with fluids, get tires on my wheels, make a rear parcel shelf and amp mounting board, get the windshield cosmetic seal installed, get the title (zomg you dont have the title yet??!!? no, nico, i dont)and get her legalized/inspected. something tells me she will pass inspection with no probs. just a hunch.

new tow hook toy. heres the update as of today. my friend tried to adjust the doors to fit better, but only got it better, not fixed totally. im not happy, as this will piss me off.
also, went to bleed the braking system last night. bled all calipers/lines and checked it all for leaks, fixed leaks, etc... then on the last pumps of the pedal, the rear seal to the MC decided that it didnt want to participate in my car anymore and failed. fluid everywhere, stripped paint off my framerail, booster, fender... not happy about that.
the ONLY good thing about today is that i ordered tires (falken 502's in 205/50/16) brand new, and will have my good wheels/tires on at the end of this week. thats the only good news. otherwise, im actually very very mad at this point and just need to buy a damn clean shell and start over. im |--------| this close to doing it too, any joking aside.

all you guys keep an eye out for a clean hatch. preferably black or white or gunmetal. if you find one, post here. i dont care about motor, suspension, subframe, exhaust... i just want a rustfree car with all bodypanels, doors, etc. thats all i freakin want.....

in spite of said 3/4" size leak, i did a few hot laps of my street, but it didnt wanna go past 2k rpm (no its not a maf issue nico, its the damned leak). but throttle response feels good with the short ram intake piping and she drives great. exedy organic ftw for a daily. the ebay 3" catback/delete pipe sounds great so far... but is slightly raspy. oh well...
coils feel AMAZING over bumps/etc even with my eyeballed crap alignment. soooo much better than Ksport crap. diff is gonna take getting used to, but feels solid.
tomorrow i will try to remove the egr pipe threaded portion which is rusty-ish... or just crimp it off and jb weld the small seam. either way... she should be running pro by tomorrow.
i honestly have never enjoyed driving a car at <2k rpms so much as i have today... my baby runs...

seat is a buddy club spec seat. if you are over 160lbs... then you need the XL version... mine is the standard size and i barely squeeze my narrow arse in there. but i love it. fixed back ftw. it weighs NOTHING. its retarded light...
your car is coming along nicely man. get it done and drive on out here lol
btw, exhaust is 2.5" or less off the ground... frame rails are at roughly 3.25" all the way around... before i slam the front some more. then alignment... my rear camber is ridiculously negative so that i could fit my wheels before i rolled/pulled. now im all rolled/pulled and ill be set for clearance.
looks great. did it with a sawed-off baseball bat, no heat, just a plan of attack and two patient friends to roll the car back and forth. perfect roll/pull, no buckling, imperfections, etc. ill post some update pics later today (its nearly 3am now) possibly with a real camera this time lol. no more phone pics

we all ready rolled one side on my car. and we used a hammer and mallet. be we are doing full body wot so if we make dents in the out sire we just bondo over them.
i am looking at getting sparcos. i think it would be nice if they were recline able but that means they sit alot higher. cause they will be bottem mount.

she should be up and running tomorrow for sure... jb weld is setting right now for the exhaust mani patch so i didnt want to rush things, id rather let it fully cure. also, i may have to double check that i reconnected the maf wiring on the ecu, cus i used to have an SAFC2 in there, but mister didderson needed it to finish his swap with his crazy N60 maf. so i need to make sure that everything is kosher there.
this morning i installed my PBM solid front tension rods, jonnie fraz power brace, and lowered the front of the car, and rebled the brakes. its been a productive day. just waiting on the nardi now... and my shift knob. they both make driving easier.

i got my PBM stuff today. and am a newbie at suspension set up.
like for setting preload and all that stuff. i gota good idea about adjusting ride heigth but how to exactly do it i am not of. i have done some googling.
Post Title: Re: (idahotuner)
Posted by: mrgreeneyes at 11:19 PM 5/8/2008
preload: you shouldnt really need any. it refers to how much tension you load on the spring via the lower spring perch ring. general rule of thumb (so im told) is to tighten the collar against the spring as much as you can with bare hands, then tighten an additional 2-3 turns with the spanner wrenches. then lock a locking collar up against the spring perch to hold it in place. to do this "locking" properly, you must put one spanner wrench on the spring perch collar and the other wrench on the locking collar and tighten them against eachother, you cannot just snug the locking collar up against, you HAVE to tighten the two against eachother.
RUCAS: go to the PBM thread on zilvia and read about how to properly set them up. there was a post about someone breaking their rucas and PBM goes thru with pics and tells you the proper way to set them up. read it like a bible.
any more questions, you know which thread to ask em in
(this one
)

i will go through and read about the camber. cause we check my wheels with a level to kinda guess camber until we can get an alignment. but i need to adjust one side out.
the cool thing is my car has an aggressive stance but plenty of clearance and still. i will have about 5 inches of clearance under the frame rails. give or take depending how close you are to the front or back of the car.

| if you want to be really low, remove the two locking collars and butt the spring perch right up against the lower strut mount (as i have). rumor has it that you can flip the strut mount upside-down for more clearance. i am about to test this rumor in the next few days. if so, you will be able to go stupid low.king collar and tighten them against eachother, you cannot just snug the locking collar up against, you HAVE to tighten the two against eachother. |
i fliped the deal over but left the locking collars on and i can get my car stupid low on the front now. .
i actually need to lift it about half and inch to get clearance for my tires which are tall. so i cna turn the wheel.

i just gotta whoop some local sr ***. its not the practicality/cost or anything... its just that NOONE around here knows CA's or how to tune them... however, sr's... everyone around here knows em. when i say "tune" i dont mean bolts parts onto, i mean dyno-tune the ecu
the setup im planning should break 350 without breaking a sweat on pump gas.
plop that into a fully built chassis (nearly done)...
and 18's look great on the rear of an s13...
Post Title: Re: (mrgreeneyes)

i know my limits. i can bolt things together, paint them, clean them, grind them, and order parts. i can do research, and piece together nice setups... and i can wire up anything under the sun. but i have NO idea how to tune a car. so that will be done by someone else. the motor will most likely see a machine shop for most of the intensive work and probably the reassembly too. just gonna have too much money in it, and im not experienced at all with engine work, so taking it to a pro is the logical choice.
for instance, if someone doesnt know how to wire something, i want them to come to me cus i know what im doing. as a professional, you get offended when people rig stuff up or are just too proud to admit they dont know what they are doing.
and by "local" i mean within 2 hours or so... i think i have my machine shop lined up as well as my tuner. but we will see once i get closer to finishing this.

You need to go see an ophthalmologist and get your eyes check out. I know the picture isn't the best quality but how do you miss the front wheel?

im laying under the radar... shhh.... dont tell anyone.
ill send you super secret parts pile pics if you want... but NICO isnt ready for the fullbore/hardcore stuff thats sitting the garage. i will have more suspension goods than ten nico members combined...
and some other treats... the girl needs some new clothes too, a couple skirts... a little something to brighten her eyes, make her better suited for junkyard adventures, pull a lil more attention to her a**, and make her scream a little louder (for now, as a snail will soon have her whispering....), and some new shoes to boot. also, making her more beautiful on the inside, while trimming some fat from her entire body, making the woman more simple (gasp, can that be possible?
)...
lookis, i invite you to see a little inside my madness, as only myself and whitecomet know of what lies in the garage. it'll be pure, classy evil.

On crowned roads, I've been known to scrape rack instead of trans (solid mounts raised my motor and trans a bit). What wheels are you going with ? I have 17x9 +8ish and 18x9.5 +10 right now and I plan on going down another 1/2 inch for this summer. I've HEARD of the sonic meets from TST but I've never actually been there. You're saying this is a grip car, but you're doing modified knuckles?
IF that is the case, I'd really recommend ditching the knuckles. Daily driving those things is a real headache. It'll mess with your steering big time.
Sadly I don't have any first hand experience with them, but I'd be concerned about the toe you'll be running. Are people even able to run 0 toe with these knuckles? If they are running 0 toe are they able to do it with oem style outer tie rods?
The little bit of reading I've done on the knuckles everyone stated it wasn't a good idea for a car that sees the street.
If you're serious about having a real grip car, I'd simplfy your knuckle setup if I were you. I'm not you and it's also not my car.
Main problem with modified cars is, most are over modified, and the fun aspect is ruined. If the car isn't fun to drive, it's worthless. These knuckles may ruin the fun aspect, on the street atleast.

with my s14 moog OEM style outers, ikeya formula inners, i should be ok for alignment. i dont understand why i WOULDNT be able to hit 0 toe. the reason i want the knuckles is not for the maximum angle, but rather the responsiveness/flickability. the car will most likely NOT see any tracks, of any variety, as touge style runs/street/meets are more my thing, as fanboy as that sounds. i have no motor mods to date (sr obviously not in the car yet) so i need EVERY ounce of response i can get, as my local competition is mostly evo's, subies, and the like. i like being the underdog, but having those guys go bug-eyed as they see me eat corners alive.
that said, i genuinely appreciate the insight, as i have not heard that about the knuckles. again, i look to you with high regard because i know you put in the research time/money into quality items. we will see how this all pans out. i LOVE having things noone has even heard of, so the rarity is a plus for me too. if the knuckles are unbearable for street, ill sell em. i have another OEM set sitting on the car now.
i also love overkill. thats part of the "fun" for me. im excited to try these things out, with the complimentary mods i have.
and for all of you who are awaiting the unveiling, just be patient, the last of the pieces are falling into place.... and i have all weekend to put stuff together. probably wont be done, but i SHOULD have some nicer pics of my progress to share.
carry on

Updates:
Keegan did work on the car!!!!!!!!
It was hot as balls so he got some nice sunburn but some progress was made. All of the front is done except the brake lines. I don't have any pictures of it done, so don't get your hopes up. Needless to say, a sledge hammer is needed to fit the wheels with the knuckles.
Here's the sadness.
RIP PSM parts.
Here's the new subframe, with new bushings with re-manned steering rack.
PS- To the guy who said we're going to have a NJ vs PA low competition, I'll win.

rear subframe will be swapped in w/ toe+traction rods and risers at a later date. aero may or may NOT get fitted tomo. taillights/gtst spoiler are low on the list as well.
my priorities: eyeball alignment, get sweet ride height/clearance fenderwells for bigass tires, get all brakes on/bled/etc, get rear 5lug done, put the wheels on, and drive this b****.
cosmetics/new audio/other s*** will be picked at later. i gotta still get a REAL alignment/inspection....

Good news:
We made some good progress.
The car looks sexy as hell.
Bad News:
It's still not on the road.
What was done today:
Not a lot.
Front is just about done.
Fenders and side skirts were tested. (Pics below)
Dmax tails were installed.
Half assed wire tuck for the wheel wells.
Removed driver's side rear hub.
What held us up:
Passenger side rear hub won't come loose.
Pics. Cool.
Front suspension goodies.
Didderson approves of this tuck.
Sweet zip ties.
Fenders.
Fenders and skirts.

Yup, camo hood is gone. (It's mine now.)

Aaaaaand DMax tails.

I was approving the "rad" wheels and offset
It was a fun day checking out the ballin' new setup and parts. Doug on your other KA motor if you would grab the copper O ring gasket for the power steering banjo bolt keegans only had one.
Tuck looks good once it was more finished, and I'm glad to see the Dmax tails eventually went on without trouble
.
The car's going to look crazy with these wheels and aero. You know you dig the fat azenis sticky tires!
One more thing. I need a new FB pic, I'm stealing it rofl!

and thanks, its been a lot of time/money to get where i am. the motivation to finish it has only kicked in recently. the rear end is totally together now, next work day is for the front end (rough alignment/torquing it all down), then fitting/attaching aero. and i gotta wire the brake light bar in the spoiler in, wire my license lights, and my lit key ring in. i think thats about it.

| I didn't see it pictured, but did you put in the drum parking brake setup? Not having a parking brake gets annoying real quick. |
no i dont have the drum setup. seems too bulky/pita to be worth it. my plan is to get a hydro from PSM (once they cave in and make a locking one for me), cus the only other locking hydro is a Ksport and i REFUSE to put another one of their parts on my car (all 4 coils blew on my hatchback within 4 months of owning them, and their customer service is literally the WORST ive ever had)
i can imagine this will get annoying, however, where i park at work is perfectly level lot, and at home i have a leveled out carport under the deck, so leaving it in gear for a while til the guys @ PSM break down and make one will just have to do.
idk, im open to ideas tho if anyone knows of a good locking hydro.
the car is intended to be a well rounded car, capable of grip/touge, drift, yet dailyable. i dont care for tracks, but im not some rogue "street drifter" scene douchebag. i just enjoy being able to beat the crap out of the car, and knowing it can take it. its definitely overbuilt for what i do, and FAR overkill for the stock KADE under the hood (sr is on a stand still), but im LOVING how this is all coming together.
Post Title: Re: (mrgreeneyes)

Z32 drum brake setup is your best option, and is easy to install. It'll also be the cheapest.
http://www.arizonazcar.com sells a willwood hydraulic ebrake setup as well. I find the owner to be rude. Frankly I don't think you should give him any money. Wilwood or any real brake manufacturer, will have a hydraulic parking brake setup in one fashion or another.
If you think the z drum brake setup is bulky, wait till you try to retrofit a hydraulic ebrake setup as your parking brake.
Buy the z drum brake setup, or carry around wheel chalks everywhere.

I wouldnt roll or touch the fenders until you abuse these tires and get (stretched) tire sizes you want to use permanently.

Sick fitment already. Can't wait to see the final fitment. Looks like those fiberglass things are secure. GJ.
It looks so mean. The rear bumper, I'd think about getting a custom crash bar welded up because it would look hot. I'm starting to like the rear. One more bone to pick, just coat that gas tank so it doesn't stand out so much.

smoked the rear side markers, they are NICE and dark.
the front markers are the type-x style square lights, and are on the way (dmax w/ the two colored bulbs, so ill have functional lighting up front)
the misc rogue stuff i need is en route from courtesy in the next week or so hopefully. its ordered, but the stuff i need is hard to track down.
new fuel filter and softlines were purchased (z32tt filter), new powersteering hoses, all sorts of little freshen-up items.
calipers are still fully functional, compressed easily and w/ no leaks! win-win!
sweet interior stuff is being started right now. the wink 5-panel mirror is in and adjusted, its freaking awesome. shift boot and glovebox are next... to match my hood idea.
ebrake lever removed, as its not even close to hooked up.
more later

new front subframe mounting studs, new nuts for that, castle nuts for the rear axles w/ dampener washers, and the last rear brake pad pin. now i just gotta figure out where my lil bag/box of brake hardware got to (yikes)
got the front aligned as close as possible by eye/tape measure. still nowhere near where i want it... but thats what an alignment is for. RT Tuning here i come....
gotta figure out the whole HID's deciding they dont wanna work after 6 months of sitting... if not, ill slap some silverstar h4's in.
next step is bleeding the brakes with my sweetass new vacuum bleeder i bought at work. 30 psi of vacuum should bleed s*** pretty quick
doug posted pics for me.
still gotta shave the inner lip of the front fenders.... fiberglassy no likey tire.
and mount my front bumper? yeah. thats gotta happen. ZZZZIIIIPTIES MF!
and the pic of the top of the front caliper/wheel/rotor is to show the little baby 3mm spacer i had to use to clear the coilovers cus that was a TIGHT fit

car drives. it runs fine, idles like a champ, in fact, better than before. brakes are on, 90% bled (they need worked some more), power steering is taking freakin forEVER to bleed out the air.
and the angle these knuckles can produce is absolutely insane.
but wait, Keegan, why all these good things, but no cool pics or vids to prove it? thanks for asking, heres why:
1) the whole freaking front end needs fitted. ANYONE kinda local who wants to help/knows what they are doing (DALE)... help me. ill compensate you for your time.
2) since the steering is so epicly responsive as i had hoped, my complete and utter lack of any alignment in the front proves to be a b****, as the toe/camber are SO far off that as the car drives, it pulls dangerously side to side. WAY too much front toe. literally almost died during the first test drive up the road. it needs raised an inch+ just to TRY to clear the inner fenders
3) interior needs love (paint) and some upholstery fun.
4) brakes need bled. bad.
5) i need to "massage" the fenderwells pretty hardcore with my friend, the BFH.
6) i SHOULD run lower profile front tires. that would help a lot of the clearance. FML. (still staying 245 wide, MINIMUM)
theres probably more to b**** about, buuuuut it rides like a champ. diff still loves me, tires feel awesome. whole car looks badass, even my girl used the word "badass"...
the whole uber-s***ty alignment pissed me off, and the steering rack having a dead spot irritates me too... its a remanned one from FRSport, so im hoping its just a simple "needs to bleed the air out" thing... cus the hell with return shipping on one of those.
other than that, not much to say.
discuss

turn it left to right at least 20-30 times. i did it for a while. it works well.
as for the brakes. go on amazon and get the $60 motive pressure bleeder. get the junk to 17 psi and pop open the bleeder. works really well.

im honestly and genuinely sad i cant go any lower without going to smaller tires
and no. wing stays. its too sweet. annd SHUTUP with the lowness thing... im tucking 1/2" of tire the whole way around...
brakes/power steering is bled. car can turn lock to lock now, after HEAVY hammering of the fenders. turns like a beast.
HOWEVER, either the poopy eye-ball alignment and/or the crazy angle knuckles make this thing SUPER sketchy going down the road. im hoping/voting it the alignment. i have a set of OEM knuckles here as a backup, but i'd like to make use of the $600 worth of knuckles/new lca's.
it does lay nice twin black marks tho and launches REALLY smooth/crisp.
Post Title: Re: (mrgreeneyes)

The modified knuckles change the ackerman angle. Depending on how your front suspension geometry is, the effects will vary.
If you want to keep the knuckles and street drive the car, you may benefit from raising it back up. I'm not sure how streetable that PBM knuckle setup is.
You'll have to play with it, to get it to where you want it.
Personally if the steering response is good and I can get used to it, I'd keep it. If the car is twitchy at high speeds. I'd ditch it. I also think a car is ruined if it's got even the slightest play in the steering, or an odd vibration. That makes or breaks a car for me.

| What's up with this car? Running or what? |
the plan WAS to be driving her this week. due to a payroll discrepancy/oversight at work, im broke as a joke til next friday.
then alignment locally, then drive it to rt tuning in philly for a race alignment/corner weighting.
also, i am gonna have to raise the front and rear 1/2" so the front clears the massaged fender area under compression, and so the rear matches the front. i have a local hookup for an alignment on a regular rack so i can get it at least toe'd properly, aka drivable. its SKETCHY going 25mph... so i gotta eyeball the toe to be 0 all around, then limp it to the local guys.
there will be updates asap, i promise.

What are the alignment specs you're going with? I'd run 2.5 negative front camber, 7.0- 7.5 front caster, 0 toe. In the rear. 1.5 negative camber, and zero toe, maybe a slight toe in, but I'm happy with 0.

Dale, great suggestion. I'd want in, but I won't be going all out, just cruisin. 2 desires, daylight, and non competitive speed. Maybe I best stay home up to u homies.
ALSO Great suggestions on the camber. I totally agree that more neg camber in the front is more responsive than the opposite setting. (aka more neg in the rear) Retaining straight line traction is nice too lol, but until the SR goes in...

knuckles are interesting. very responsive. caster will be assessed post-alignment.
front bumper, lights, fenders are on. my OEM metal fenders are wider than the "20mm wider" fenders that i got from chaser aero.... that didnt make me happy.
the car feels entirely different, but in a responsive way. itll take getting used to, and a nice alignment.

That mexi-car is just as low, if not lower than your car. Darnell's MX6 is actually pretty sweet. Still waiting for the good pictures... I'm very anxious to see them. |
lolfifteens.
I don't want to go far as it looks like sh*t, but the whole car gives me the "mexican" image:

shuuut up about the tires. its a grip car. not a pretty car. not a show car. not a 195/20/17 profile fanboi setup. im still STRETCHED. and with PSM suspension the whole way around... EVERY gen 1 part they make, a little give in the tires is nice....
so after driving this thing, i f***ing love it. knuckles feel sweet. not shaky, feels super stable. corners quickly and precisely.
and the MX6 is on 16x8's.. sportmaxs. its LOW. not totally my cup of tea, but its fast (klze swap) and low, and got some really nice little touches. and the owner is cool as hell.

the only thing this car hates now, is the amish buggy-pitted/crowned roads.
but the roads to my alignment shop, are heaven. fresh paved touge-status awesomeness. my alignment guy was AWESOME and he loved all the PSM stuff, said its some of the best product he's worked with and was gravy to align with them. he also liked the car... a LOT.... aligned it to bumnahs suggested specs (thanks dude!) and complimented me on such a thorough suspension build. his words: "thing thing will LOVE corners"
im pretty stoked.
however, my thermostat decided to crap the bed, and now i gotta swap that out today. overheating SUCKS.

| Sounds like your having fun, I'm jealous of your suspension for sure-when's the SR jumpin in? |
well. i WAS having fun.
put new thermostat and rad cap in. bled it like crazy, for hours... literally multiple hours. found HUGE air pockets. bled again. then it cooled off normally, ran fine for 10 mins, then MASSIVE air pockets. bled... etc. it somehow is MAKING air pockets. so either the waterpump is severely messed up (less than 2 years old), the HG is leaking compression into the coolant, or something entirely different.
the radiator is a year old. not clogged.
top rad hose is HOT and high pressure. lower rad hose is cold to the touch, and NO pressure to it.
im pulling the waterpump tomorrow. if its not that, then the hell with the KA, ill just start building the SR up and let this car sit again til its done.

But yea either that orrr your head gasket is fukin with ya. There has to be somewhere for this coolant to go. There's only 2.5 gallons needed in an oem system iirc.
Post Title: Re: (hbpignosePA)
Posted by: DriftBoy07 at 8:03 PM 9/2/2009

The Snap-On man sells it. Buy it. It pretty makes the radiator fill the highest point in the system and bleeds the system perfectly. I spent 15 minutes bleeding with this bad boy.
You can also check for white milky stuff in your oil, if the head gasket is leaking.
Make sure you're bleeding with the heater on, and on high.
The specs I gave you is what I'm running. Pretty standard stuff for the most part. Good starting point, you can adjust camber as needed based off of tire temps on the track, and wear pattern. If it's a street car, leave the s*** alone.
Glad you like the knuckles. How stable is it at high speeds. Do you feel confident in the car at 100 mph and turning the wheel? I know it's not on the track, but I'm sure you've gotten it up to 100 mph already.

i think the problem is beyond bleeding right now. FML
we did give her some GOOD highway romps to test highspeed stability/confidence so i could give you guys feedback. purely scientific.
felt really good. and since the speed sensor isnt hooked up, lets say i was doing "55mph" cus i have no way to disprove that.
then it overheated really sweet. awesome. and at this point, id only be able to drive it for another 2ish months, til winter hit... soooo SR build may happen.
official verdict comes tomo

hooked it back up, didnt overheat yet, but still bubbling from the rad... headgasket?
so, trying some of that gypsy "headgasket fix" in a bottle tomo from work. what have i got to lose at this point? nothing. as long as this motor can make it to meets this fall, and stayed parked over winter as the SR is built, ill be totally content.
getting the SR set up at my parents place so i can work on it more freely.

sooo the $4 Bar's Leaks coolant/hg sealer works. car runs cool. pulls like a monster for a DOHC ka.... must have been leaking compression for a while, into the coolant....
the sr plans are oem rebuild with metal HG and strengthened studs. s15bb w/ 550cc's and n62 maf. 300+whp. parts shop max high mount intercooler, parts shop max radiator, wire tuck, summit racing chassis harness, moroso oil pan, external oil cooler
that wont be cheap, but itll be sweet.
stay tuned

indeed. however, summit is $150-200 cheaper and a lot of local race teams use these and come highly recommended. and i plan to keep oem style functionality (aka using the oem key cylinder to trigger the leads for the chassis harness instead of painless switches)

No real story, we just ran to Walmart to pick up a soldering iron at 2am and were about to turn off of Main street Ephrata and an Impala pulled up behind us at a red light with no markings on it but I could see the light bar inside the car. We had installed LEDs in the turn signals 2 hours prior so the turn signals blink really quick; he didn't like that so he pulled us over.
He said the following things were illegal:
Turn signals blinked too fast.
No rear bumper support.
Tires rub fenders.
No front indicators.
The cop was kinda cool and walked Keegan through everything to make it legal again and only wrote a ticket for no rear bumper.

two months of driving on a supposedly good alignment has yielded two bald front tires... yes bald, yes 245 width... which would explain the terribleness that is my wet weather traction/ skittishness.
OH, reason numero two that my tires a bald... is my tire gauge... was reading about 9psi TOO LOW... aka my tires were 9 PSI overinflated.... so my tires are bald in the centers, but have tread towards the outside still.
FML, RT615's aint cheap in wider sizes....
so yeah, two BALD-a** tires, a track car that needs toned down a good bit to be a FUN street car again.
FUN = LOW/drivable/cool looking/random doodads
That being said, new plan of attack.
1) Smaller profile tires. Probably all seasons (falken 512/912) for the colder months here... and stock up on grippy fun tires (rt615 and dunlop starspecs) for the warmer months.
2) LOW.
3) 18's in rear
4) finish my interior (street cars need sweet interiors)
5) REAL MOTHERf***ING ALIGNMENT.
6) Move the tie rods to the less aggressive setting on PSM knuckles and remove tie rod spacers from rack. That should correct some of the ackerman issues. Also, dial out some caster. Too much of that right now, causes a LOT of dynamic toe/ackerman changes. SUCKS. also, ive determined im TOO HIGH for the PSM built in bumpsteer correctors, so its doing more harm than good. thus, slamming is in order :D i love my logic
7) respray whole car in satin black
7.2) install emissions-deleted header (oem), thermostat, change oil, figure out why rear suspension creaks, put friction modifier in diff, put load resistors on brake light circuitry, mount front/rear crash bars/bumpers.... etc.
8) be a boss.

i had a spare exhaust manifold that i got the egr bung/ pair valve bung welded up. its for "off road use only" now. cool.
good thing i drive on streets and not roads.

R/T Tuning hooked it UP. 5 hours straight on the rack. Pat is the mack daddy. Car drives SO damned well... all the MAX parts work wonderfully... firm, SMOOTH ride, excellent feedback.
Specs are drift oriented:
Front Camber: -2.5* (pat wants me to get s14 LCA's so he can dial in to -4*)
Front Caster: 8*
Front Toe: -.01*
Rear Camber: -2*
Rear Toe: .01*
Chassis ends up being straight as an arrow, like... off by .1* deflection over the length of the wheelbase. thats ONE TENTH of ONE DEGREE.
Front coils are maxed w/out removing collars which leaves my tires (215/45/17) one inch off the front fender rails.
Rear coils have plenty of room to go. Im running 215/45/17 back there for now (too narrow for rear, IMO) but the rational is that once i get my 18's in the rear, ill have a matching spare set of fronts for events/emergencies.
i only have terrible terrible cell pics... but ill post them in a few mins anyway.
EDIT:
Whether it looks like it or not, its tucking tire front and rear....
rears look "sunk" due to skinny a** tires, but the wheels are a good 1/2" past the fender. 18"s and 225-235 width will fix that.
i also think im going to a 215/225 40 17 in the front in the near future. more low. more clearance on the upper fender area.
BTW, the 215/45's dont rub on ANYTHING. full lock is AWESOME. i left the knuckles on the most aggressive setup, and kept the rack spacers in. car handles SO freakin good...

Alignment specs: Amazing. Those are the specs I was trying to get with my self alignment. Maybe with the change in seasons next year I'll get down to R/T tuning as well for a checkup.
Awesome to hear that the car handles like a dream on the AGGRESSIVE PBM knuckle setting!
Car's got some unique style with the vorteks and the wing. Dude, rear diffuserrrr

Oh yeah, WTF is up with having stock front bumper?

That .1 difference in settings probably changed within' the first 30 feet of driving.
A lot of alignment guys have told me to run 1/2 a degree of difference in the caster. Helps the car stay straight, due to road crowning. My latest alignment I kept the caster even and it tracked a bit more to the right.
How does -4 degrees of front camber come into play for a drift alignment? I understanding running tons of rear camber to make the contact patch smaller, but why so much negative camber in the front? I would almost argue the opposite, less camber in the front to increase front end grip, there by increasing over steer.
Obviously this is all theory since I'm not an alignment expert, and I understand drift alignment even less.
PS. If you want -4 camber now, you can probably get it without s14 lcas. You can length the slots on the camber plates on the max coil overs. If you didn't want to modify the plates, pick up some H&R camber bolts (they replace the bolts where the front knuckle bolts to the coilover.). You also make slots for the holes in the strut towers where the coilovers mount. You can also slot the bracket where the knuckles mount.
I'd personally slot the camber plates, or get the H&R camber bolts.

This is from my own experience and understanding:
During a drift, full lock causes positive camber on the outside front wheel (the wheel with the most traction). This is compounded when the LCA's point upwards from being UNNECESSARILY low. You fix this by dialing in HELLA negative camber. It makes for a flat contact patch on the outside tire thus increasing front traction.
For the rear, people usually run 0* to -1* rear camber to make for more even tire wear thus increasing the life of the tire, and also more "grip" so they control the car better with the throttle. People who run HELLA negative camber are usually people with stock KA's (like me) to spin easier.
This is why you see alot of SoCal cars that look like they have positive rear camber. It's because they're running minimal rear camber and ALOT of front camber.
Hope that helps.

Did you just talk about rear tire wear on a drift car? When does having negative camber affect tire wear? Toe is a bigger factor when it comes to tire wear.
Now I'm gaining interest in all of this drift alignment stuff.
I don't know many drifting people, and the ones I know I believe have stated -3 camber front, and -4 camber rear for alignment setups. I always figured those camber settings were for wheel fitment.

I meant tire life. My bad. Having negative camber means you'll wear down only the inner edge all the way down to the wires from drifting while the outer edge will be relatively untouched.
Sure, on a street car, toe is a bigger factor. But on the track, you want the most life per set of tires. Thus, take some negative camber out.

There's wheel fitment settings and then there's pro-drift settings. The cool people find the balance in between.

bumnah:
these were the recommended settings for MY car with MY setup by PAT @ RT Tuning. he is THE alignment guy to go to, so i take his word. worth the time/money 100%. super cool shop, cool dudes, legit reputation.
the reason you hear all these crazy numbers is people who 1) dont have rear subframe risers 2) dont have hardcore knuckles 3) dont have the rest of the suspension catalog to compliment it.
the .1 degree of toe is toe in.
heres the logic as explained to me by Pat.
for the rear camber. stock KA (no boost) he recommends -2* for best combo of traction when you need it (recovery) and breakaway tire contact patch. he said as power increases, camber needs to flatten out, usually to 0* after the 250hp ish mark.
for the front caster, i wanted a BALANCED setup as i dont mind holding the wheel a little to keep it from going off the road lol... id rather have a car that turns the same left to right. Pat and i both hold this opinion/preference. a lot of my driving is highway, so this is negligible.
front camber, 4lughero nailed it. its to compensate for camber changes at/approaching full lock (something a grip car would never see). this setup is to enhance the extremes of turning radii.
all i can say, is when Pat handed Matt Petty the alignment printout, Petty said "damn thats perfect" and they both recommended the s14 lca's for more camber to accentuate my knuckles.
i cant use eccentric bolts for the coils brackets cus the wheels are within 2mm of the coils as is. cant use that at all. im not cutting my towers or max plates. ill take those guys' word for what it is... they didnt try to sell me any parts thru their company.. they just made a recommendation, so its not like its a biased thing or an upsell...
any other questions... ask away, ill answer to the best of my ability!

hey, can i play dressup with your rear works? i want to see exactly how that exact tire size and wheel size will fit/look.
we should have a black coupe play date

18s with 235/40 in the back would def be nice.
as to your fronts, im running 205/45 on 17x9 and it doesnt rub. stupid size though. im going for 225/40 when i get new tires because it will have more clearance and more grip than my current 205/45. just FYI, i would go for 225/40 if you are not rubbing with 215/45 like you stated.

| type x |
if you had a lip for it in your possession, it would be game over.
sadly i thought i would be happy with pig front/lip again. oem fitment is nice, but my car it too far past "simple" to pull just that front off again...
i look at pics with my aero and i miss it already. its a type x style aero... i LOVE that look, but w/out a type x lip, the oem type x bumper wont match the rest of my car...
so i think im gonna try to either 1) repair my current aero and mount it properly (moar zipties) or 2) buy different aero front 3) find a CRACKHEAD deal on a type x lip and buy your stuff.

| buy wc's front get an frp lip.modiride has one for 250ish shipped.( great fitment) Sure it will smash if you hit something hard enough but lips are pretty easy to fix if they are not completely destroyed. |
i like my s*** low enough to destroy things. ill RAPE that lip so quick...
and yet... part of me considers this an option.
HOW low does that lip sit? measure from the bottom of the lip on the side, to the top of the type x extension on the fender.

i reread my printout of the alignment.
its -.01*total toe biased to the driver.
its -.02* "out" on the driverside, and +.01* on the passenger. add those two together to get the combined "-.01*" and youre golden.
that toe bias is my correction for crowned roads.

I doubt it'll make any real difference. The difference is so minor. I'd basically call that 0 toe. 100th of an inch of difference, if you can feel that, you're the man. As long as you like how the car drives, that's all that really matters.

i TOLD you all that the skinny tires in the rear are only temporary.
im NOT droppin the rear any farther cus i dont need to tuck rear rim and only front tire.
i need either 1) 25-30mm spacers in the rear 2) sweetass 18's with bigger tires. 3) wider rear 17" tires.
all require money. i vote for 18's.
sell me a pair of sweetass 18's, somebody
